If I'm not mistaken, our princesses are: Alice, Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Jasmine, Belle, and Kairi. Im not particularly a fan of Alice being one of them being that she's not a princess...like at all. And yet Ariel (who IS a princess) was not one of them. I dont care for Alice mainly because i don't want to see Wonderland again unless some serious changes are made. i think Jane might have made a better princess but whatever, who am I?

 

Anyway, In the KH3 we have already confirmed Rapunzel (yet another princess) is set to appear. I'd be surprised if Frozen doesn't appear as well (although Anna might have too much personality to became one of them). Do you think it's possible to have a different set of princesses or is that roster pretty much set in stone? Maybe now that Kairi is a keyblade wielder it changes things. Anyway, if it were up to me (I am aware that it isn't), my princess would be:

 

Jasmine, Belle, Anna, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Ariel, and Aurora...yeah i got rid of snow, its a personal thing.

Just because someone is neccesarily a princess doesn't mean they're a princess of heart. A princess of heart is someone who's heart is completely devoid of darkness. When Vanitas was extracted from Ventus, Merryweather compared him to Aurora because at that time, Ventus had no darkness in his heart.

I've come to think that more to change them they can realize that there are more princesses of heart then they might think there are! But seeing as how Yen Sid explained it I would need to go for a more deeper theory

So...what happens upon a PoH's death? Would another, already living, person become one? Or would someone new, born in that instant, become the new one?

I know this is a little off topic, and mostly irrelevant, as Kingdom Hearts is not going to kill off their Disney characters (none villian ones, at least), but it has been something that's been rolling around in my head.

The 7 PoH pure light hearts are the original 7 light pieces of the original Xblade in the ancient prophecy. I imagine this wouldn't change unless they died or something like that. ( we don't know what happens in that circumstance??) I imagine it just gets reborn as another person with a pure heart of light that becomes a PoH.

Being a princess doesn't make you a Princess of Heart, so Rapunzel and any other princess that will appear in KH3 are just... well, princesses. And I don't think the PoH are ever gonna change, I mean, why would they?

This means the lineup of the Princesses is immutable, it can not be changed. As for what happens if a Princess dies, since it's their hearts that are the source of all light in the world if one dies the balance of power shifts in favor of darkness, destabilizing the Realm of Light. We aren't sure how birth weeks in KH, but we do know the heart is the first thing to form in a naturally created person, and that these come from Kingdom Hearts and return there upon a natural death. This leads me to my theory that there's a reincarnation cycle of sorts in the sereis, a person dies, their heart returns to Kingdom Hearts, is wiped clean and reborn into a new vessel. This cycle would ensure that, as long as their hearts aren't taken forcefully, there will always be 7 Princess of Heart throughout eternity and the balance of light and darkness stays just as it is.Point is, the lineup will not change.
