LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII is the epic conclusion to the FINAL FANTASY XIII trilogy. It is now available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 & Windows PC.

Keep in mind this doesn't factor Final Fantasy XIII or Final Fantasy XIII-2 so it'll probably be about a year.

Kitase said half a year for Lightning Returns alone. He did not mention XIII or XIII-2.

Regardless of how long it takes, more platforms = more publicity for The Lightning Saga and perhaps some fairer reviews, should the Ports/Remasters be up to par.

 

I personally just need Lightning Returns then I can fully experience it for myself, then make a proper judgement. However, I doubt it's as bad as some would like us to believe, even those with legitimate concerns and grievances with the Saga.

Lightning Returns is amazing. Most of the criticism was just people not understanding the story and those not liking the graphics (which I might add were all made in 1.5 years).

Where I'm from it's been 19,99$ for a new copy for at least 2 months  and 14,99 for a used copy.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, the unique JRPG from legendary director, Motomu Toriyama celebrates two years in Japan today. The title was awarded by Famitsu, the biggest Japanese games media source with a score of 37/40 and received an award of excellence. Lightning would soon after be voted the best character of 2013 at the Dengeki awards. Lightning Returns strikes Windows PC via Steam next month on December 10.

Yes. It's the epic conclusion to the compelling and acclaimed trilogy. It's amazing what they did. They made it from the ground up in about 18 months.

Sadly, no, I haven't played those games yet, but I really need to!  I keep hearing excellent things about those games!  Now that I have a PS4, I'll get the game for PS4!
