CLICKBAIT.

The info is false, there are tons like those online. One said a dead psychic predicted that KH3 would release in 2016. Watch Thegamersjoint's video. if you don't believe me.

C'mon man, who releases a game the 2nd day of the new year?

Why are you trusting a website called 'moviepilot',  if this was true KH13 or KHINSIDER or a KH youtuber would have posted about it?

PLACEHOLDER

It's not the release date, and it won't be. It's just a date they use until the actual release date is revealed. How many times will people think it's the real thing?

It's a placeholder, they really think it's releasing in 2017, so they just said January because it's the first month.

That proves this is a placeholder.

idk why people think amazon would just throw out the release date to big budget games all willy nilly while the actual game developer making them remains tight lipped. if you look on amazon for other games that aren't out yet you'll see that they all are apparently coming out December 31st, 2016. So either it's a placeholder date or game companies feel like committing industry suicide by releasing every major title on the same day.

If you pre-order a game that amazon says is coming out at the very end of the year then you'll get the estimated delays for shipping which bumps the date back to early January, which explains the January 2nd, 2017 date. So nothing confirmed.

Jan 2 is a placeholder Amazon uses, a lot of my preodered Nintendo games have that or Jan 7 as their release date. Never believe a release date set December-January, unless it has been specified by the developer that it is releasing within those months.

No one even tries anymore.

PLACEHOLDER. Typically when it comes to information on release dates, stores are the LAST place to know (Amazon counts, they're just digital). They're usually the last to learn about anything, you'd be surprised by the number of Gamestop employees who've learned of special bundles or sequels of games coming out after customers told them about them. Typically they aren't told anything until they're just about to have it ready to sell in store. So no, no store out there is going to be the holy mosque that knows of when KH3 will definitely release.

Let this be for the record for all time until the Apocalypse (no not the Keyblade War Apocalypse). Any date that you see on a website such as Amazon or eBay for a game that does not have a release date announced, it is a placeholder. They will put some date there to fill in the blank until a real release date has been announced by SQEX. Keep this for the record for all time.

Even though this is a placeholder date, I'm fully confident that Kingdom Hearts III will release throughout 2017!  This has to be the case!!! X_X

"Please note: Customers may have received an email from Amazon stating that this title is scheduled to release on 1/2/2017. Please note that the placeholder release date for this game is 12/31/2016, and 1/2/2017 just happens to be the next shipping day after that placeholder date. No actual release date is confirmed at this time. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused."
