Shulk 8,623 Posted January 14, 2016 Fiora - Messiah Fiora thought that Eclaire was going to leave with her, but then the news of more attacks came in. With the new rush to stations, Fiora got the feeling that she should get to work. I-I need to go talk with the prisoners... M-maybe it won't be as difficult as I thought it would be... She thought to herself quickly, hoping that a few words of self-encouragement would calm her down. The young girl was still rather upset by Mikhail's comments and gift, but she didn't have time to focus on that right now. She glanced over at Eclaire once she smiled, and Fiora gave a shy smile back. I should really get going... After giving her smile, she silently began to head out of the meeting room, though she still moved a little slowly... Allitt - Messiah Allitt listened to Eclaire's new orders, although she also managed to hear Victoria's comment. She looked a bit confused, and paused for a moment. "... She really is kinda weird." She muttered, though she did smirk a bit afterwards. At least she seems to still be as focused on finding my brother as I am. She thought to herself as she left the meeting room to head over to her own living quarters. She grabbed her white hooded cloak and quickly pulled it on, making sure that her face was covered before she'd even think about being ready to leave. She tried to keep her identity secret in case any imperial soldiers would recognize her from her time among their ranks. Also, in the chance that she'd somehow run into her brother, she didn't want him to hold back in battle because he was fighting his sister. If she had to kill him, she didn't want him to know that he lost his life at the hands of his own family. ... I really hope it never comes to that, though. She took her weapons and made sure that they were well hidden, hoping that she could hit with a surprise attack. That would work best for her. Once everything was ready, she left for the hangar and found a smaller transport ship. "This one should work well." She stepped into the cockpit and fiddled with the controls. She wasn't at all an expert pilot, although she had learned a little bit during her time in Messiah. In a few moments, the ship lifted off the ground and burst into the cold air outside, on a direct path towards Feldspar. Indy - Empire Somehow, the young soldier had managed to gather his troops early enough to get a good amount of rest before the meeting with Isaac. He arrived at the meeting a little early, wanting to show that he was responsible enough for the position he'd been given. All of his men arrived on time, just as he'd expected. If any of them had been late, he probably would have made them turn back. He wouldn't accept any slackers among the troops he commanded. He sat silently as Isaac began the meeting, carefully listening to what he had to say. Of course, he hated meetings. However, he knew when to pay attention, and he needed all the information he could get on this upcoming battle. He noticed the mission's commander glancing nervously at the door, as though he was expecting more people to arrive. If anyone hasn't shown up yet, they probably don't deserve to come along. This looks like a good enough group, anyway... He kept his harsh thoughts to himself.
Atrias 19 Posted January 14, 2016 Deuce: Uncertain of how exactly to respond to this random praise he scratched the back of his head then took a look at the female who scolded Rufus. He gave a faint smile bot quickly reverted to the confused look he had earlier. Just now the he gathered Rufus thought he was acting and something about a play? Ignoring a good part of it (and keeping the reality of the panic attack silent). 'The doctor is a cook? Talk about multitasking... And no eye contact?' He entered the room where Ol' Yella was and almost immediately disobeyed the piece of advice given to him by Rufus. Quickly afterwards he diverted his gaze at the fish whilst occasionally finding himself giving a curious gaze upwards. This was actually the first time he had seen a Dwarf since the majority of work he did for orient was related to the area he just departed so naturally he wanted a look. The only other mention of Dwarfs was the one time he ventured into the R&D office in Goldovia some two years ago and heard Jonathan talking about the anatomy and something about dissection. "H-Hello ... Sir Yella was it?" Deuce finally managed to speak in a somewhat shaken tone. Normally he'd just be taking down notes of someone else saying this and so he imitated the only person he knew to have good relations with just about everyone he spoke with: Dorian. As that came to mind he wondered how the vice leader was doing in his venture to Langerdon. "The wound isn't very deep perhaps a bandage would do it?" He said next quickly touching the small cut he received. It wasn't anything to gawp at but it was the first time in a long time he had any sort of injury (save his knees from time to time). He knew hemophobia was a thing but never did it occur to him until now how common blood was in Jonathans line of work and Arians stories. "I don't think I'll be staying to long so food is unnecessary. The others should be waiting for me around where you teleported us away." He said more or less in self comfort. The Unversed 168 Posted January 15, 2016 (edited) - Zane - New Empire - currently in Hylvania Zane was almost sure the takeover would was in the bag until an unexpected surprise attack by the rebel general of the town Stark & his men. "General Zane! It seems that even with the reinforcements from Oryx we're taking heavy casualties! What should we do General Zane?!" yelled a random soldier from Zane's group of men. Zane took a moment to himself slowly reaching for his big fan weapon he kept on his back "So, it seems that the Seraphim Order has some tricks to protect their areas in case of imperial attacks" said Zane to himself as he clenched the handle of his fan weapon, but before he could give a command another surprise attack group showed up through a hyperdrive ship giving the rebels extra help in defending Hylvania. "Darn it...this seems to be more than what I had intended for a defense from the rebels." said Zane to himself. After Sasha's big speech Zane could clearly see the airship it was coming from eyeing it for a second before looking to his soldier "Soldier, you are to quickly gain my other men & the ground reinforcements telling them to fall back to the outskirts of this town. Fight your way through to that point, I'll hold off Stark & his men while you exit & as for this Valentine..." said Zane as he then put on a ear phone near his mask that he took from his soldier "This is general Zane here, Focus every ships attacks at the airship at 1 o'clock, that's where the ship that broadcasted the speech is. Make them put everything into their shields instead of their attacks. Alert me when they shields run out before you deal the final blow to their ship, out" said Zane as he gave back the ear phone "Are we really going to retreat General Zane?" said the soldier "...No, I plan to create a surprise attack myself...hurry soldier!" said Zane as his solider run off quickly telling other soldiers the orders. "Now to hold off this rebel leader Stark." said Zane as he then started running through the battlefield until he finally found this Stark rebel. Zane stared at him for a moment before making his presence now to him by throwing a rock at him. - Dark Heart & Sahail (Both Criminal Underworld) - currently moving towards Shivering Moors As Dark Heart & Sahail walked along a dirt road heading towards the city of elfs known as Shivering Moors they come across their 4th statue of a girl with angel wings "Why are there so many of these darn angel statues? Their starting to piss me off" said Sahail annoyed "it's cause the town of Pandora believed in the rebel Eclaire's goddess...they thought that building these statues around the town would protect them from any harm & bring them peace in their lives." said Dark Heart as she raised her right black matter hand pointing it at the angel statue "But it's all a lie" said Dark Heart as she then blasted a black matter ball exploding the angel statue into bits & pieces while they continued walking along their path. Sahail was getting a bit curious about the rebels from the passed after hearing Dark Heart "So I take it you knew the old rebels that opposed Korben's rule then?...were you apart of that rebel group?" asked Sahail. Dark Heart looked over her shoulder staring at Sahail for a moment "...you'd best keep your eyes open Sahail, we're half way up the mountain & I believe we're entering the deep elf forest part of the mountain." said Dark Heart before coughing a bit. Sahail could clearly see that Dark Heart was avoiding her questions trying to hide something but she couldn't figure her out just yet, & so Sahail just went with it for now "Hehehe, you think I'm dumb enough to let us be see or even spied on by these elves or anyone else. Those elves won't see us coming until we're right in their village, hehehe." snickered Sahail. While Dark Heart & Sahail were walking through the deep forest an Elf in a tree outpost with 2 others could see Dark Heart & Sahail in the distance heading their way "I-I can feel their evil hearts form here...I better alert the villag--?!" said the elf tree guard before someone covered his mouth & shot him in his back 3 times killing him & 3 others killed the other 2 elf guards. "Hehe, my 4 shadow clones have taken out another tree outpost Dark Heart. It feels nice to just walk to their village rather an work up a sweat fighting just to get there, hehe" said Sahail with a small smile on her face. - Rei (Neutral) & Yagyu (Seraphim Order) - currently in City of Ruin Rei turned her head still chewing on some food to see who had made their presence known to her. Rei saw a woman (Ava) in a midnight-blue gown made of satin and velvet & stopped eating after seeing her dagger eyes glaring at her. "O-oh my, what a wonderful dress you have on my dear. I love the colour & the design is most gorgeous" said Rei with a happy smile on her face as she stood up off the chair walking over to greet Ava "So tell me my dear, did you make this gown yourself?" said Rei as she looked at the dress some more. Yagyu saw Ava & went silent, almost like she didn't feel safe around this woman or didn't want to show her expression around others, but Yagyu decided to also walk over to greet the woman in the dress. "Sorry for this, her names Rei & I'm Yagyu...come on now Rei lets leave her & the others to their feast" said Yagyu with a calming voice trying to show no emotion in the presence of the well dressed woman Ava. "But I wanna know who made her gown" said Rei waiting for an answer with a smile on her face. Edited January 16, 2016 by The Unversed
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted January 16, 2016 Vortludo -- Seraphim Order -- City of Ruin Vortludo made his way down to the Great Hall, having switched out of travelling clothes into formal robes and groomed himself. The feast would be starting soon, and with it, Yevgeni would hopefully expose his further plans. It was long time that they work on lashing out against the Empire again. Cobica -- Seraphim Order -- Venas-ville Cobica grinned wryly at the interaction between Riley and Jynn. The guy was whipped. He wanted to laugh, very loudly. But first, the "Queen." He bowed to her. "Your Grace. My name is Cobica Quinn, a Half-Breed and leading member of the Seraphim Order. It is quite the honor to meet a Queen. Haven't met one of those in centuries really." He stood up straight again, and thrust his hands behind his head, an open and carefree posture, generally not fit for greeting royalty. "As much as I'd love to check out the rest of this place, maybe visit a brothel or get drunk, we should probably get going." He said, turning his back to the city and facing the plane again. "This place exists, that's enough knowledge for now if you ask me. Of course, if I was going to give a review, I'd stick around for a while, get in a bar fight or six, pick up some nice young ladies, enjoy whatever local delicacies you fish people enjoy. But alas, if your serious about helping us out, then we might as well go home, hopefully in time for that feast. Though, you don't seem like you really want to help. If you really cared, you'd send your armies, or at least give us whatever supposedly advanced tech you have. That would actually help in a war, opposed to a single noble-born fool." He said, a last ditch effort to draw suspicion on the actions of the Venas family as he strode towards the plane. It was an honest question. If this land was truly so great, and cared so much as to send their single most valuable person, the king, then why not send a couple legions or a battleship. Or something. Anything. Ryonne -- Messiah -- Sahala Production Plant Ryonne bit his tongue lightly on the news of the Imperial attacks. They were unfortunately timed, that much was certain. But still, he had to keep focused on the task at hand before he could shift to Kaipora. He could see the plant approaching. No alarms as of yet, but that would change soon. Especially with what he was planning. He tightened his grip on the handlebars of his speeder, and alongside him, a sword began to form. It was small at first, scarcely more than a dagger. But as time went on, it slowly grew in size. The size of his own blade. The size of his motorcycle. The coloring was normal, steel with a golden hilt, but as it became larger, it began to glow a fierce red. It was currently the size of a semi-truck. He was getting close to the chain link fence now. No matter. He ran it down with his speeder, going too fast for the fence to stop him nor his aura sword. The main plant was about a mile ahead now, and his sword had finally grown to its max size. About the size of a passenger plane. The alarms were blaring now, and he was being fired upon, but he was still good. He moved his left hand down and hit a switch on his scabbard, then pulled the sheath up into position. He pointed it at the main plant, then pulled the trigger. The switch had reversed the firing mechanism, so the blade fired out instead of a bullet. The sword shot towards the building, and hit a guard on the way impaling him. His aura sword, linked to the movements of his blade, followed suit, and flew straight and true, right into the plant, demolishing the walls. Ryonne continued driving to grab his fired blade out of the body before turning back around. As he drove away, he snapped his fingers. The aura sword exploded violently, and the building, filled with volatile materials like fuel, and explosive rounds, was destroyed. They wouldn't be trying to build another one of these too soon. As the staff reeled from the explosion, Ryonne on his speeder roared away. (Default Sword Aura appearance: ) Neena -- Tanzynite Crusade -- Langerdon Apartment A knock at the door. That was not anticipated. She glanced to Henry, and could tell without him saying anything that he had not invited anyone over for a beer and a football game. She turned the tv off, and grabbed her bow off of the counter. She nocked an arrow, and pulled back, readying the projectile for use. Neena created a small hand of light, and used it to open the door as she stood far from it. Neena recognized who it was. "Ariana." She said through gritted teeth. "What are you doing here?" Neena questioned. Then she remembered who she was. An assassin. And who her victims were. Tanzynite users. Right. Neena let the arrow fly. Kinzoku -- New Empire -- Readying for Kaipora Assault "Man it's early." Kinzoku commented, yawning as she walked inside the room through the front door. "How do you guys do this so easily? I had to set like eight alarms." She continued speaking casually as she moved close to Isaac at the front of the room. One by one, her mages filtered into the room, and lined up in an orderly formation apart from the regular soldiers. 50 of them, all cloaked entirely in a red robe, with a hood drawn up. Not that the hood really mattered, they each wore a full head mask that looked like it was red painted wood. There did not appear to be any kind of breathing holes or eye holes. "Mages, just like you asked. Elite elementals, they're worth at least a dozen regular men, sixty-six on a good day. And they took a vow of silence, just to show off their loyalty to me." She said loud and clear. But then she whispered quietly to Isaac. "But really, it just makes them really boring conversation partners." Stark -- The North -- Siege on Hylvania As the situation changed, Stark moved back from the frontlines just a tad. He hit his comms unit, and began issuing orders. "You heard the big ship guys, we'd be best off listening to it for now. Remaining engineers, break down the artillery, and move with the snipers to the left gate. Rangers that are inside already, secure the side gates then open them. Nym, move your men and the tank also into the town through the right gate." He shut off his comms unit as he noticed a rock flying his way. He caught it, and looked up to see the Imperial general right in front of him. They made eye contact, and the general said nothing. Stark dropped his rock, then yelled to his unit. "Berserkers! Move to the left gate and cover the engineers and snipers as they get inside!" The Young Wolf gave his orders, then narrowed his eyes back to the general. "I am Stark Red, Young Wolf of the North. Give me your name, so that way when I show your head to my troops I can say who you were." He said, putting his second hand onto his sword and getting fully into stance. Endless Thundaga 533 Posted January 16, 2016 (edited) Jynn & Riley Venas-Seraphim Order "Well, it's an honor to see someone from the Rebellion. I've heard that you guys worked so hard to defeat that dreadful Korbenic Empire." She was truly grateful that she finally got to see a rebel, but she did not expect to meet one that is as feisty as Cobica, nevertheless, she takes the conversation in stride. She listens to Cobica's concerns, and while she is a little insulted that he is calling her husband a "fool", at the same time, she understands his suspicions. As she sees Jynn returning, she tries to ease Cobica's suspicions. "Jynn went alone to avoid being seen as a threat to you. He wants to gain your leader's trust so he has permission to bring his army over to help." Jynn remembers his plan and Yevgeni's approval, and reaches for his phone to call his troops for a meeting. After a few brief minutes, he puts his phone away. "I already have that permission." he answers. With Cobica facing the aircraft, he and Riley can tell that the visitor was eager to go. Riley sighs and turns towards Jynn with a smile. "Alright, well let's go. Jynn, I'm coming along." Jynn was shocked to hear that she is volunteering to go with him back to the Kingdom Of Orience. She was being serious, and he could sense it. He sighs before finally accepting her offer. "Start the aircraft. I'm going to get my troops ready." As Riley was about to walk up to the entrance, she runs back to Jynn. "What does Cobica mean by "fish people", Jynn? We breathe air, not water." Jynn could not believe that she just asked him that question. He shakes his head. "Just play along with it darling....." Riley complies and enters the aircraft and starts preparations. Jynn reaches the center of the city, with a sea of his troops waiting for him. He begins to pace around the podium with his hands behind his back. He then begins his speech. "Alright. As you all know, there is a force of evil threatening to conquer the world, his name is Oryx. What his tactics are is far beyond my comprehension. You are my best men, and it is your duty to help the Rebellion and their cause. If I find ANY of you committing treason, showing dishonesty, or even trying to assert dominance towards our allies, you will be punished! They worked extremely hard and defeated the Korbenic Empire, it is only right that we lend them a hand. Remember, we are not only fighting to protect this land's peace, but we are also fighting for anyone who opposes Oryx.............. You are dismissed. Half of you will follow me to the Kingdom of Orience, the rest of you stay here and keep this city safe. You will be called when you are needed." Jynn puts his hand on his chest, and the troops mimic him. He then dismisses them. Jynn finally walks back to the aircraft where Cobica and Riley are waiting. Saber Lily 1,543 Posted January 16, 2016 -Sasha- "Ma'am, full enemy fire is now being directed at us." "Excellent. Full power to shields, soak it up. Let the ground teams rip them apart." She said, calm as could be. "Commander Traynor, divert Falchion Wing. Strafe theit AA and cover the rebel forces. Then move your troops in and keep them at bay. I want an LZ set up and I want all our ships ready for a hot evac if needed. We'll let them waste time and ammo on us." She tappedal another button, broadcasting a secure channel to all Rebel forces. "Rebel Forces this is Valentine. Strike while they focus on us. Our shields held against a dreadnought - I doubt their pellets will bring down Caladbolg shields before we are within the city." -Jeremy- Wing Zero rocketed through the sky. Biromoore was his target, and there, hovering above the Imperial Base, was Caldwlfen. A battleship class, slightly shorter and more stubby then his carrier dreadnought, he knew it's weakness; it was old, and not prepared for the EMPIRE Buster shot the Wing Zero could use. He'd lose the buster rifle for this engagement, but that was nothing. With his shoulder mounted beam Vulcan and beam sabers...he was ready. Wings splayed out and engines bracinv, Jeremy Tobias Hunter charged the main cannon of his mech. "Sir, large energy reading from the North...n...no...sir, profile matches stolen battlemech XXW-000 Wing Zero! It...it's firing!" "Shields up!" Of course the shields would be up fairly quickly...but that was his plan. They wouldn't be at full power yet - he had mere seconds between the full energy bubble forming and it's strengthening. Gabriel had known the refresh rate the time lapse. This algorithm for his EMP Buster was made by the man who created half this army's technology. Jeremy smirked. The algorithm first foray... Was a success. The shields didn't finish as the EMP struck. Normally they'd hold...but not when weapons were deployed specifically to take down shields...and not when the shields were just getting up. This element of surprise was lost now, effectively rendering this tactic useless in further battles, most likely. But in this case, Caldwlfen was shieldless, and he was now rocketing towards them. EMP Buster stowed, he drew his beam Saber and drove it directly into the bridge. And he wasn't done. With a burst of his jets he flipped and started down the side, dragging his Saber through the armor. Superficial yes, but any little dent on a ship of this magnitude was helpful. He ripped the Saber out and drove it into the area beside the hanger whield, cutting it's power. He landed and extended the shoulder vulcans, the whirling sounds of doom starting. He opened fire, cutting up the hanger bay, destroying ammo and fuel, jets, bombers. He had to hurry, for the rest of the fleet was close now. Turning, he cut into the ship itself, using the guns and Saber to excavate towards the engines. And as he settled there, reinforcements began landing inside. They'd have anti mech weapons, which meant he'd be rising this battleship into hell. Drawing both beam sabers, he began to wreck the place, and turned around. Taking a breath, he held on as the ship listened to port, and began to fall. "Gonna take a highway to hell, aren't we boys?" he said. Stowing his weapons, he blasted out of the hole out the hanger and into a wall of nope. Tracers and missiles and flak, oh my. He took too long, and now he was pretty trapped. But hey, he had one trump card. Jeremy just dropped. Like a rock. Wings locking in, he fell close to the falling battleship, and hung on for the dear life. The explosion threw him forward. Like a comet he passed through the fleet, which staggered from the fuel detonation. He unlocked the wings to get control, but his tumble was too fast and chaotic. He slammed into the ground and skidded, coming to a rest aways away from the chaos he had made. He sat there, stunned. "Shit. That worked." -Chrysalis- Without a mech, a fleet assault was suicide. But this was a fleet of corvettes and a frigate, made to patrol. None of these were prepared to fight a human sized flying monstrosity in a red dress and mecha armor, singing some extremely upbeat song, coming in and unleashing a magic barrage upon the frigate that got their attention. "It...no...it can't be." Some of the men knew that face...those golden locks and gilded wings. "The Dominion...the Dark One's greatest prize..." She flipped and flitted, drawing fire and missiles, and leading such things into other ships. Most were panicing, trying to take her down, while others paniced even more and unleashed everything. Chrysalis was flattered, really. But when enough missiles to flatten a mountain head for you...someone's asking for trouble. Because it was too easy to fly to the frigate with the missiles just out of proximity range, stop, and execute on teleport...right behind them. And as those missiles...nope no turning. They slammed into the frigate, shields collapsing and explosions rocking it. She smirked and dropped, conserving energy while the corvettes sat there, confused. Five corvettes...honestly with what the Rebellion could field this was even. Against her...well, this was nothing. She flew up to another corvette, and stuck her tongue out. It began firing at her, but she started evasive maneuvers, drawing their fire into a friendly...and they didn't stop this time. She guessed she found the hothead...and so, she lead his fire into all his friends, wasting nothing but silly faces now. Of course, this would take time to actually get their shields down, but Chrysalis needed to conserve power. Let them waste their missiles and stupidity on an impossible goal. -Eclaire- Everyone gone, she slipped out and ran after Fiora. Hand grasping the girls shoulder, she turned her around and pulled her into a kiss. "I see that annoyed walk." She teased. "Worry not. Go get clothes from my closet - not my red dress - and take them to Yltriss. Talk to Gabriel...then, come to me. We are saving power and not warping to Shivering Moors, so we may talk. I will be on the flight deck preparing for our upcoming battle, Fi." She ruffled her hair. "I'm sorry if this isn't the best marriage...but I promise. I'll get better. This is my first time having a wife after all." She joked. "Hopefully my only time."
Shulk 8,623 Posted January 16, 2016 Fiora - Messiah Fiora froze for a moment once she felt the familiar touch on her shoulder. She hadn't really expected Eclaire to have the time to come out and talk with her for a little bit, given the sudden assaults that had just been reported. She calmed down a bit once Eclaire spun Fiora around and kissed her, though this did cause her to begin blushing once again. "I-I wouldn't really use the word 'annoyed.' I'm just... a little nervous." She explained. She listened to Eclaire's suggestions, and while she hoped it didn't show, she was excited by the idea that they'd get a chance to sit down and talk for a bit soon. With how busy the two had been lately, Fiora had secretly been wishing for some time for the two to have some time to spend together again. "No... it hasn't been a bad marriage. We've just been... a little busy. But that's fine. We still have a lot of important work to do, but I know that we'll get through it. I'm really happy that I was able to be with you... Once this is all over, we can make up for all the time that we weren't able to spend together. I promise that I'll do my best to make sure that we can." Fiora gave another smile, although unlike the shy smile she'd given Eclaire earlier, this one looked a lot more confident and cheerful. "I'll see you soon. Hopefully this job won't take me too long." After that final message, the woman turned around and headed back to the room she shared with Messiah's commander. Fiora didn't spend much time finding some new clothes for the first prisoner she'd be visiting. Given that she still chose to wear the same old worn clothes she had when she first entered the rebellion, fashion wasn't exactly one of her concerns, or her strong suits. With her only advice being to not give Yltriss the red dress, she had quite a few options. She wasn't even sure why Eclaire wanted the red dress to stay, given that it wasn't the only fancy thing she had in her closet, and that there wouldn't really be much of a reason to wear a nice dress when preparing for a big battle. Fiora just found a simple yet warm-looking black shirt with matching pants. These should be enough... With her new gift in tow, she made her way towards the brig, and found the first prisoner on her list quickly. When Fiora saw Yltriss' condition, she began to wonder if she should have brought more than the simple shirt and pants. The poor woman... Of course, Fiora had a feeling that Eclaire was the one that did this. She could get a little... rough at times. Fiora knew that there must have been a reason that Eclaire would resort to such violence, though that didn't mean that she felt no pity for the injured, humiliated elf in the cell. Fiora opened the door to the cell and quickly shut it behind her. Even if she wanted to help Yltriss, she was still a prisoner. Fiora wouldn't give her any chances to escape. "S-sorry if I'm disturbing you..." She began stuttering, her usual social anxiety becoming incredibly apparent now that she was alone speaking with someone who she viewed as unpredictable. Dealing with prisoners was new to her, and after the treatment this woman had suffered, Fiora was admittedly a little worried that this convict might become a little violent. "I just want to help you recover." She held out the new clothes towards Yltriss, hoping that the gesture would show that she meant no harm. "I-if you're hurt, I'd be happy to heal you." Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted January 17, 2016 (One more post before I hit the road.) -Ariana - Neutral - Langerdon - The woman did not expect a warm welcome from the ninja mage, though admittedly she didn't expect such a cold one, either. Her eyes met the arrow as Neena growled her name, preparing for the arrow by summoning shadows to surround here. "Neena," Ari said flatly. "This is not how I wanted to start. I was hoping to just have a civil conversation with you. Things have changed . . . . I have changed. And while I know that I can never atone for my sins I would like to at least speak with you. Please. Just hear me out, Neena. I want the New Empire to fall, and I want to find the rebellion that contains my dear Chrysalis." For a moment Ariana could not recall a time where she'd actually been this sincere, or begging a woman who just tried to shoot her with an arrow. -Jadis - Messiah - Godolvia - The transportation pod roared as Jadis drove it to the ground, landing perhaps harder than he should've. He was not a very good pilot, that much was for certain, and even after the past year of training he still could only do a sub-par job. He'd never get a license at this rate, that's for sure. The streets looked rather different than Jadis had remembered, and many places were now boarded off from the general public. This was the city that had been attacked, by what Eclaire had surmised as the Seraphim Order's doing. Indeed, Yevgeni and his men would have to be stopped. The elf adjusted his bow, making his way toward the pavement and to the north of the town. There were some mines just north of Godolvia run nearly exclusively by dwarves. Perhaps that would be as good of a place as any to speak with their kind about recruits. -Ava and Yevgeni - Seraphim Order - City of Ruin- Ava partially didn't know what to think of Yagyu or Rei. Her dark pencil-thin brows furrowed as she strode to the table and sat across from where the two women were once seated. "This gown is a family heirloom passed down to me by my mother," Ava explained at last, her voice softening as her gaze fell upon Rei. Perhaps the woman just . . . didn't know proper etiquette in a dining hall. Yes, that had to be the explanation. "It is nice to meet you both, though I think I've heard about you, Yagyu. It seems Yev mentioned you once." Her head turned and a smile stretched her lips as Vortludo entered, dashing as ever. He too had cleaned and dressed his finest from the trip, and when he certainly wanted to look like a noble he definitely knew how. Behind him followed Yevgeni, who stole a quick glance around the table before clapping his gloved hands together. "It would seem all of us are here tonight. Unfortunately Cobica is away on errand and Kaspar is weary from his travels. Please, gather around everyone and help yourself to this meal. We have much to discuss before the night is late." The blond Seraphim Leader took a seat at the head of the table, resting his chin on his hand as he offered Vortludo a smile. "I very much look forward to your good news and hearing the jubilant nature of our Rhasolvich citizens, but first I think it most crucial to hear of this news that Yagyu brings." Suddenly Yev's expression grew serious, as he turned and offered Yagyu a brief nod. "Please, Yagyu, tell us what intel you gathered." -Isaac - New Empire - Kaipora Outskirts- A slight smile crept up on his face upon discovering Indy to have made it, even before himself. He nodded in recognition to his right-hand man and opened his mouth to speak when Kinzoku arrived, blurting her protests about the hour. The dark-haired man didn't seem entirely impressed. He crossed his arms and listened to her explanation, introducing her elemental mages, all dressed in red. "Well, it would seem we'll hear chants that the red capes are coming on the battlefield, that's for sure," Isaac murmured, nodding in approval. "Very good. Indy, Kinzoku, I appreciate your dedication. Welcome aboard the Dauntless, and, most especially, welcome to my crew. I really appreciate you all being here this morning and on such an occasion. I won't lie: we will face danger, our lives will be put on the line, and we may very well face the cruel mistress of death herself. However, we fight for the freedom of others, for the justice and prosperity of the New Empire! "Our plans are quite simple: we shall dock about a mile from Kaipora and travel on foot, dispersing to surround the city. I want our casualties to be slim. We have innocent men, women, and children out there, regardless of their patronage, and I want them alive. Target the rebel's bases, surround the mayor's office. We shall only take down what we must in order to claim this city, but nothing more. Do we understand each other?" Many men and women nodded in consent to the general's words, while others cheered and pumped their fists. Isaac then turned to the captain and saluted dully. "Alright, then. Let's be off! To Kaipora!"
MDSVeritas 299 Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) Kavris - Kaipora - "We're going to die!" The juices of the beef dripped off in fat droplets that splattered the plate a dirt-brown tinged with crimson as he bit into it. "Sir, we've raised the militia, if the attack comes, we'll be ready." "You've no way of knowing that you damn fool! They're the empire, of course we're not ready! Oh god, oh god, we're going to die!" As he plied the knife against the seared piece of flesh it tore aware at the fibers, bursting them open and exposing the succulent red center. "Sir, please calm down. We've sent messengers to neighboring cities, if their force is small enough we may drive them back unti-" "Until what!? Until Oryx gets it in his mind that we should just be burned off the map entirely? My wife, oh god, my wife." He raised the napkin to his mouth, dabbing gently at the corners as their pure white coloration warped into a darker hue, juice and flesh seeping into them. "We've got sentries posted now. Give the order and we'll ready more units on the walls." "Something, something there's got to be something. Some secret way out. Something the empire doesn't expect. We can't die here, there's got to be something, something so-" The voice of Thagmus Karn, Baron of the Coast-lands and de-facto leader of Kaipora cut off just as Kavris had finished folding his napkin. "You." Kavris turned and his eyes squinted up as his cheeks rose in the joyous smirk he loved to wear when he knew he had a room's attention. "Me?" He inquired like a child caught with a hand in the cookie jar. The syllable dripped with a sense of innocence and purity. The Baron looked less amused than Kavris felt. "Yes, you, my good friend eating my god damn steak, my alleged Tanzynite researcher genius. You. I didn't hire you for nothing you lazy piece of trash. You're supposed to have all these beautiful inventions for me, to make my city better, to help us, to defend us. Well, guess what, now I'm commanding you to bring me one of these magnificent Tanzynite solutions I give you so much gold and good food for. The damn empire is sitting on our doorstep, and I command you to stop them." Kavris yawned. This was a boring town. It had a moderately sized criminal underground, an utterly meager red-light district, and and utterly incompetent entertainment industry. He had long since stopped caring in the slightest about its well being or the well being of any of the pieces of garbage incarnate that dared to call themselves its citizens. But an invasion... an invasion was exciting. He stood up. "Well..." he began a listless traipse around the council chambers. The head of the guard watched him suspiciously. The head of the local banks crinkled his nose in attempt to see the man more clearly. The two concubines the Baron had neglected to dismiss lingered on the rooms periphery, with looks of quiet fear plastered across their face. "You're not beating them in a head-on battle, that's for sure. Your men would be slaughtered and bled on the fields, your people likely burned by their mages. You'd likely be drawn and quartered for your treason. No, no, head-on will never do." Kavris took quiet note of the increasing horror building on the Baron's face and took some delicious pleasure from it. "You could run. Take what you have and sail away. Unless of course they're expecting just that, keeping a fleet by the coast to rout your forces as you make an escape. Then we're back to the bleeding, and the burning, and the quartering..." The Baron's terror turned to anger. "Are you here to give us your song and dance, or do you have any real advice, you charlatan?" Kavris couldn't hide his smile as he moved to his bag in the corner of the chamber. "I do indeed. You see, we can't fight them head on, and we likely can't escape. But we can do something a larger army never expects an unguarded little city to do..." He pulled the glowing shard of solidified Tanzynite from the bag. It surged... breathed with a raw heat and burning orange light. Kavris' favorite experiment in the past few months. "...surprise them." Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted January 20, 2016 (edited) (alright here goes nothing) - Battleships at Hylvania - only one of these ships remained, and it didn't look like it would last long, as it kept firing at the bigger ship that just showed up in the conflict...the other ships however...as they fell and exploded and whatnot...huge taken portals ended up bursting out at the areas they fell, giant portals, all of which came out even more taken troops...but they were followed by something very interesting. Huge robots came out of the portals as the portals closed themselves, three robots, from the three giant portals opened by the crashed ships. These giant robots had rocket launchers at their shoulders and their main gun in their hand, which shot heavy blasts of energy which impacted in a large area. looking at the enemy attacks coming out of the woods, two began to fire at the forest area, in hopes of hiting the opposing forces, as the third one held his hand up to the sky, as he punched the ground, opening four taken portals in front of him, which let out evne more taken troops coming from them, with the heavy and so variations. who also began to focus on the ground troops instead of the ship. THe giant machines were quite tough, able to take canonfire head on and shrug off laser fire to, they were covered by a very thick shield as well as powerful armor, and the blight power only served to boost their functions even more in the ways of firepower. - Henry - Uneasy alliance - apartment - Henry didn't bother to answer Neena's question, as it would be of no use anyway. He wasn't the best speech person in the world. But the knock on the door caught his interest...as Neena simply walked over, and seemed as if she was ready to fire at the person at the door when she saw who it was...Ariana. Someone Henry knew all too well. He sighed as he stood up and casually walked over behind Neena before she fired onto Ariana. He put his hand on Neena's arm and motioned them down, "Don't." He said simply. as he looked at Ariana, and then at Neena. "Both of you, get inside before you ruin the evening of everyone else in the neighborhood by having two magical beings ducking it out." Henry said with a serious tone as he motioned for Ariana to enter, and to Neena to not do anything dractic. He didn't know what Ariana wanted, but if they fought outside they'd compromise their "hiding". (THe giant machines appearance) Dex - New empire - Langerdon "There it is!" Dex said as he found his mech, as he walked around it, to inspect its weaponry and defensive attachments, rocket pods, laser rifles, machineguns. all seemed good. as he started to climb on top of it. This mech was a state of the art, weapon of mass destruction in a compact, not too big or cumbersome design, made for quick and effective battles as well as long and drawn out ones, with its high shield capabilities and highly armored in the important parts, as well as two plasma machineguns, held in both hands, laser blades as arm extensions, rocket pods in the shoulders, and the dreaded "Assault armor", which not many knew about, but were going to find out soon enough, if he got into combat with this beast of a mech. "Ahh my favorite toy, well...my only toy, whatever." Dex said as he sat in the pilot sead as he strapped into it, and maned the controls, as he began to move with the mech, walking for now as there was still no need to do anything until Isaac called in the cavalry at Kaipora, and the attack in Hylvania was leaving him worried, but he hoped it would work out. he hoped so anyway. The mech's appearance: Draksis - New Empire's enforcer - Biromoore. As the battleship fell, and as Jeremy laid there, a high concentration of darkness energy could be felt being generated in the area near where Jeremy landed, as he all the darkness, now forming a large cloud of dark smoke, formed into Draksis and his armor, sword and whatnot. as he simply examined the area. His reaction to all of this? long and slow clapping as he began to slow walk towards Jeremy and his downed mech. "A man, against a capital ship, and the small, tiny man won, an interesting feat..." Draksis said as he simply kept walking towards Jeremy. The darkness energy could be felt increasing in intensity the closer he walked. "But alas, all thats good comes to an end, don't it?" Draksis said. - Tolan and Mary - Seraphim order - City of ruin Tolan and mary had arrived late, they had not seen the arrival of Jynn or his departure, well, they caught a small glance of his departure, and Cobica's too, as they walked back to the gates of the headquarters, where the scouts quickly opened the gates for them to pass through. Tolan kept a serious walk forward, his sword on his back, as Mary kept a more relaxed walk, as they had to speak with Yevgeni, their presence was known in the area almost immediately, after all, freaks had the tendency to catch a lot of attention lately, as they simply walked through the great hall, they came upon the room where yevgeni and Yagyu were, deciding not to intrude in their conversation Tolan simply leaned beside the door on the right side, as Mary leaned on the left, they would wait for Yev to finish his business with Yagyu before speaking to him, it was the least Tolan could do...manner and all. - Maxis "Prime" - Messiah - Goldolvia - "Weeeeeeeee!" Maxis was having the time of his life in the archwing, as he had arrived near Goldolvia, the capital seemed rather unprotected, serving usually as a training spot for new recruit soldiers, but the division sent there recently was highly armed, which made Maxis even more excited for the fight he would have, he saw a lot of enemies as he cloacked as his archwing cloaked alongside him and slowed down, allowing him to view the area from up top, a large platoon of soldiers, speaking to a general, who was giving a speech about war and whatever nonsense generals would tell their armyr to raise their morale and send them to their deaths, Kinda like what Eclaire was so good at doing. He flew a bit closer, well, close enough to jump out of the archwing as it detached from his back and began to fly upwards, it was set to fly around the landscape in stealth mode until he called upon it, as he dived down, as two clones were formed right beside him, as the three of them went in different directions, Maxis himself landed right on top of the general, impaling the poor sod as the other two clones landed on some random people, and began to slice and dice whoever was nearby. as Maxis himself simply stood there, taking his sword out of hte now dead corpse as he took the microphone the general was speaking in. "Boys and girls, really, don't put your hopes on speeches and whatever other generals do to motivate you to be sent to your deaths" His voice getting a lower pitch and taking a serious tone all of a sudden. "Because I am here to proce that not even the greatest speech, can save you from a god damn space ninja." Maxis said in a gleeful tone, changing back to his happy attitude, as he simply cloaked as the chaos ensued, his clones tearing soldiers apart, and Maxis uncloaking to tear some apart as well, cleanly and efficiently. This division was doomed... (Mikhail is en route to Luin, nothing much there. Gabriel's waiting fiora) Edited January 20, 2016 by Scrapmaster
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted January 20, 2016 (edited) Cyler -- Criminal Underworld -- Biromoore "It wasn't really that interesting." Cyler commented off of Draksis' note from the top of a nearby building, where he lay on his back. He tipped back the bottle of ale he had stolen from the truck that he had also stolen, and drank. It was alright. Pretty mediocre. To be honest, the quality of booze had plummeted since Korben fell. Maybe he had like a standard doctrine, and now that he was gone the brewers were getting lazy. He'd have to look into that later. Cyler then threw the now empty bottle at Draksis' helmeted face, just for fun. The Serial killer leaped off the building, landed on his feet, then gestured to Jeremy. "I mean look at him! That's a mech, not power armor or an exoskeleton or what have you. If I were a capital ship, I'd steer clear." He continued to speak, his deep voice almost playful, but the underlying tones of malice could not be missed. "Fortunately, I'm not a capital ship. I'm me. Far more dangerous than a capital ship if I'm being honest, and way less imposing, which makes the danger all the more useful! A vicious combination if you will." Cyler was at this point, rambling slightly, and making grand theatrical gestures with his hands. He was having fun. After all that time alone, training, it had been a while since he'd had a decent playmate. He might as well make the experience last now. Kinzoku -- New Empire -- Dauntless Kinzoku's eyes had wandered from the crowd during Isaac's speech, and as soon as it was over, she was gone. No where in particular, but just wandering around. Everything in the place was so dangerous... This thing could raze a town in a matter of hours. Her magic tingled with the possibility of destroying something that destructive, tearing it to pieces from the inside. But no. If she wanted to keep her job, she would be best off not destroying the entire ship. She found herself at the top of the ship, a hatch leading to the outside. Feeling an intense desire to go out there, she attached some magnets to the bottom of her shoe, then climbed up. She stood on top of the ship, and enjoyed the feeling of the wind through her hair, and the view of the landscape beneath them. Cobica -- Seraphim Order -- Venas-ville Cobica leaped into the aircraft, taking the stairs three at a time. "Hey computer, can I get a drink cart out here? I left the matter alone the first time, figured that being drunk on foreign soil is bad etiquette and would represent Yev badly or some such, but I do prefer to be drunk on flights. Helps with all the... the flight. Just the general experience I suppose. Not one that being sober for makes better by any means." Cobica mentioned, finding the same seat he had chosen last time and lounging there, kicking his feet up onto the table. Cobica was ready for take-off, especially to give Yev the news that they had nearly double their numbers with an entire army joining their ranks. Of course, he still didn't trust Jynn, nor his wife for that matter. Why did these foreign fish people care about the welfare of their country? After all, the place was so secret that no one on the mainland had ever heard of it, and their defenses were top notch, especially with the whole strategic position of being entirely underwater. They had no reason to worry about conquest, and endangering the lives of your own people to try and take down an empire was dumb and a sign of a bad ruler. He had to have an ulterior motive here, and Cobica did not know what it was. And lack of key knowledge frustrated the Half-Breed. Vortludo -- Seraphim Order -- City of Ruin: Great Hall As Vortludo dug into his dinner, famished from the travels and grateful to enjoy the delicious food of the Seraphim's chef once more, he waited patiently for the news and intel that had been discovered and developed while they were away. Like the rest, he noticed Tolan and Mary's appearance quickly, and he swallowed a bite of his foot hastily in order to speak with them. "Ah! The hunters! It is a pleasure to see you again! Please take a seat at the table, your advice and company would be greatly appreciated!" The Noble spoke with his usual sincerity and enthusiasm, failing to see what made the two outcasts at all. They were just two more allies, two more friends at his back when he charged into battle. The Doctor -- Messiah -- Messenger Boy on the Oathkeeper A small blond haired boy with a blue newsboy cap and a lab coat that looked a couple sizes too big for him rushed down the hallway towards Fiora. "Missus Tonnerre!" He exclaimed. The boy reached her, then took a couple seconds to catch his breath, before looking up to the woman. "I'm sorry to bother you Miss Tonnerre, but the Doctor wanted to get this to Yltriss." He held up a small vial of liquid, and gave it to Fiora. "But I uh, don't know where she is and I have some other errands for him. Everybody always says you're the nicest person on the ship, so I figured I could ask you to give it to her for me! He said that the vial would help with her symptoms, and that she would know the rest. Anyway, I better get going! Bye! Thank you Missus Tonnerre!" He said as he then ran off down the hallway. ~~~~ The messenger boy managed to get to the meeting room just as Ace was leaving the area. The messenger boy bowed and scraped before the fighter pilot, as if he was in awe of the man. "Oh sir! I mean pilot! I mean... Commander? I'm so sorry, I don't remember how to address you. Oh, this is embarrassing. Anyway, the Doctor wanted me to tell you that your guys' planes have been upgraded with powerful railgun rockets! They can take out massive chunks out of even advanced ships like this one is what he said, but that because of the way they've been designed, they are useless against shields! So, uh sir, I guess that's all that I needed to say." The messenger boy looked down to his feet, as if contemplating on what to do next. "And sir? I just wanted to say that I've been a huge fan of yours ever since you guys saved us! For real, you were amazing! Like woosh, woosh, bang, boom! It was so cool!" The messenger boy looked up at Ace, his eyes wide and sparkling with sincerity, sporting a huge toothy grin. Then something like shock seemed to enter his expression. "Oh right! I have to get going! I hope to see you again sometime sir!" He said, and then ran off again. ~~~~ The messenger boy reached his final destination. He breathed heavily, having rushed nearly all over the ship, delivering messages, grabbing materials, and scooping up a bag of scones from the mess hall. After catching his breath, the messenger boy remembered himself. He stood at attention, and gave an awkward salute. "Commander Tonnerre!" He addressed Eclaire with the utmost respect, and he tried very hard to remain at attention, but he was nearly toppling over in the position. He had put most of the heavy materials underneath his hat, and that made him very top heavy. "The Doctor requests your appearance in his lab! He wishes to speak about your tanzynite situation, and some potential solutions that he has." He said, keeping up his very very respectful and diligent and big tough soldier voice throughout his message. Neena -- Tanzynite Crusade -- Langerdon Apartment Neena glared at Henry, appalled. "Are you kidding me?! You remember her right? Even if she didn't have tanzynite, I'd kill her. She tried to murder both of us if you'll recall, and her pet ended up destroying half that village! She was a ruthless goon to Korben that maimed, murdered, and manipulated her way to the top, not caring who was in her path. Hey, for fun, let's stage a trial, right now. I'll be judge, you'll be witness. You SAW HER KILL. I proclaim her guilty. The sentence is execution." She spoke, fuming at her partner's restraint. Finally, she looked back to Ariana, and answered her. "You lost your right to a civil conversation a long time ago. But apparently, my goody two shoes buddy over here has decided to grant you a reprieve. So here it is: I don't know where the hell Chrysalis is. I haven't known since the Battle of Langerdon. I saw her take out a couple ships when Zion appeared, and that was the last I saw. So most likely answer is, she's dead. Second most likely answer is, she's dead. And third place goes to, I wouldn't tell you even if I did know. You treated her horribly. You turned her into a dog. She's better off now than she ever was with you around." Stark -- The North -- Siege at Hylvania Stark's voice crackled in Nym's comms unit. "Nym, I'm going to be a bit occupied for a bit, maybe go werewolf. I don't know how strong this general guy is. For now, I'm handing command of the men to you. Stay safe alright? I'll see you in a bit." And as soon as he was there, he was gone again. Stark looked Zane up and down. This was no typical imperial, drugged by tanzynite and drunk on power. No, far from it. Stark gritted his teeth, unsure of how well this encounter would go. Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted January 20, 2016 - Henry - Uneasy alliance - Apartment "Admit it, we're all killers, murderers, assassins and liars. Im not one to judge ones actions in the past." Henry clarified to Neena as he simply went back inside and sat at the couch and motioned for the two to take their seats anywhere they'd like. He nodded as Neena told Ariana everything wrong about her, he kinda agreed. "Stockholm syndrome is a hell of a thing, you treated her like shit just like every other empire goon, and yet she was infatuated with your crazy attitude and demeanor." Henry said grabbing a beer and drinking some of it. "We don't know, if she's dead or not, I hope shes not, girl and I are friends...well...from way back when we were experiments anyway." Henry said taking another gulp of beer. "Come Ariana, take a seat, and explain yourself, and maybe, just maybe, Neena won't try to kill you." Henry proposed. - Draksis - New Empire - Biromoore The bottle simply vanished as it even neared Draksis, as he simply looked at the man and the rambling. he kept silent for a bit, "I do not know who you are...but you don't seem to be an ally of his, i would ask for you not to interfere, but that would be meaningless...would it not?" Draksis asked a rhethorical question. Before looking back at Jeremy and his damaged mech. "You are not...from the Seraphim order...are you?" He asked. Saber Lily 1,543 Posted January 20, 2016 (edited) -Jeremy- Well, this was bad. Taking a breath, he decided to try and hold them off. This mech was important, and irreplacable...okay, so was he, but he could escape easier. Setting the autopilot, he opened the hatch and leapt out, landing beside the Zero as it started to fly away as Jeremy sauntered closer to the two, hands in his pockets. Entirely at ease, he had an easygoing expression, stopping at a decent distance from his two new foes. "Hi, I'm Jeremy and, while I have had to serve with ugly people, this one..." He pointed to Cyler briefly, before stowing his hand. "Was never part of the Order. At least, the old one. Before the dark times. Before...the new Empire." He yawned. "He's ugly enough, to be fair, for this sham called the Seraphim Order. You..." He looked to Draksis. "And you look big, bad, dark, and stupid enough to be a part of Oryx's New Empire. Sorry ladies. The beat of war, peace, and revolution has been...disturbed. Our revolution brought war, and instead of peace a new war takes place." He cracks his neck. "After we're done, there will be two lifetimes of peace. Two lifetimes you'll both never see again." He didn't move, studying them. -Chrysalis- She barrel-rolled and dove, missiles trailing. This idiots kept doing that. A sharp left turn and a sudden stop caused the third corvette to start falling. She wondered if Oryx actually trained this fleet, because seriously. This was an insult. A sharp turn and she slid along the spine of a corvette, stopping. Three Corvettes left. Waving, her wings tripled. "Seraphim of Light." From her wings erupted beams of light that twisted and turned, crashing into her foes and rending them to scrap. She let the Corvettes fall, finally, and floated there in victory. She let her power die, and rocketed away, heading for the Kusanagi. -Sasha- She cursed. "All forces hold them off!" WIth the Caladbolg under concentrated fire, she couldn't spare the firepower. Instead..."Lower the ship! Traynor, begin evac procedures!" She swept her hand across the table, the holograms changing. The troops began splitting; half went to defend, while the rest began to pull Stark's troops away. "We cannot hold this city!" Traynor told one of Stark's lieutenants. "I have orders to evac all that I can! Get to the Caladbolg. With it under this much fire we cannot hope to stop those machines. Get your commander and get him onboard, we need to salvage what we can." She ducked as a bolt of fire tried to take her head off. "Dammit! We're losing Hylvania! Kaipora is also under attack, we cannot afford to lose any more." She turned rifle up. "My men will cover you." She only hoped these Stark Rebels would take the offered help, as the Caladbolg lowered into the biggest open spot it could, and part of the shield lowered, allowing a loading ramp to extend. Luckily buildings provided cover, meaning it was a safe evac...for now. Edited January 20, 2016 by Sabre Lily
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted January 20, 2016 - Draksis - New Empire - Biromoore. "I see..." Draksis said aknowledging Jeremy's explanation of Cyler and his disrespect towards Draksis, he stood quiet, not saying a word until jeremy was done speaking, simply holding his arms crossed as his cape danced with the wind, "All Revolution brings war, and all war brings revolutions, both bring senseless deaths of innocents." Draksis began to speak. "You speak of peace, something effectively unable to be achieved by any living being's nature...war is an essential part of the story of the world, and one that is never going to stop and be forgotten...for you see." Draksis went on. "You can't stop the cycle of war, not you, not your leader, not whoever your leader follows, there will always be those who oppose the current rule and will rebel, there will never be peace because of the humans, elves and every other's species flaws." Draksis finished explaining his view of things. Draksis stood still and silent afterwards, waiting for either to make a move first.
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted January 20, 2016 -Ariana - Neutral - Langerdon- Ari's expression hardened as her hands tightened into fists. "I did treat her poorly," she barely uttered through gritted teeth. "But who do you think let her escape? I freed her because I wanted her to have a better life, to be free of my own tyranny." That was indeed true, but there was also the bit where she'd freed Chrysalis because she wanted to free her own conscience. Chrysalis was turning her into a better person, something that frightened her. She wanted to back to not feeling and not caring, something that could only be done by sending Chrysalis away. While she did wish her well, she still was sending her away for the wrong reasons. Upon Henry's beckoning the dark sorceress stepped into the apartment, a dismal place that looked that it had seen better days. It probably had, back when Korben ruled. She took a seat in a recliner. "If you do not know where Chrysalis is, then there is probably no point in this conversation. The girl promised to save me and come back for me. I did not think I needed saving, only do I realize that I did. "For a year I have been imprisoned by Oryx. He's kept me alive, but inside I have been dying. A part of me has died, along with the darkness of tanzynite that has been fueling me for nearly a decade"--she eyed Henry sharply, before stealing a glance at Neena--"You two are innocent; you have never tampered with raw energy or darkness that you could not control. With darkness comes power, power that eases the pain of loss and suffering. I suffered, and I made a mistake. I turned to the wrong outlets for help. When I thought that I could control the darkness, I was wrong: it seized me and my mind, and soon I could justify even the worst of actions. I cannot make up for them, but there are two things that I would like to accomplish before my death: ensuring that Oryx falls, that the empire sees a good ruler, and that Chrysalis has a family that loves her." Sighing, Ari rocked herself gently and closed her eyes, resting her head against the back of the recliner. She finally let out a breath, eyeing Neena carefully. "Do you think that is so wrong and worthy of death?" -Yevgeni and Ava - Seraphim Order - City of Ruin- The raven-haired girl's attention was torn from Rei as Vortludo called out into the hall. Standing there were Tolan and Mary, two recruits who looked rather hesitant to intrude upon the gathering. Yevgeni, gaze fixated on Yagyu, turned upon Vortludo's words as well. His emerald gaze penetrated them momentarily before beckoning them into the room with a white gloved hand. "Please, sit! Join us! We are celebrating the return of Vortludo and his wonderful companions. I also have much business to discuss, particularly pertaining to our next move. It is high time that we step up the tempo and allow the empire to take a step back. I'm sick and tired of watching our mages and elves receive the brutal treatment of experimentation. I am also interested in hearing any information that you have acquired in your travels, so, please, come!" Yevgeni's eyes fell onto the grandfather clock on the opposite wall, which chimed once at the half-hour marker. Finally Yevgeni leaned in to where Vortludo sat, his voice low so that no others could overhear. "Our dear mage, Kaspar, is resting, and I would like it very much if you would do me the honors of keeping an eye on him over the coming weeks. I think he may be very useful, but he puts my bones at unrest. A worthy pair of eyes on him would be very beneficial, I think, or at least until his motives are fully known. There is a dark aura around him." -Isaac - New Empire - Kaipora- The airship's engine roared as it landed in a blanket of soft snow. The skies were still dark, yet a slight glow on the horizon indicated that dawn's light would soon arrive. The general turned to his men and women, who all stood loyally awaiting his command. "We will infiltrate the city. Kinzoku, station your mages around Kaipora, allowing no one in or out of the city except for our men. Take some with you, but I want you to secure Kaipora from the inside out. Indy, take your troops to the air fleet bases and seize hold of the rebel equipment. I will be taking my men to visit the mayor himself. He will stand down, one way or another." He shifted his machine gun uneasily over his shoulder, tension clenching his jaw. War was obviously not his favorite thing in the world; that much was apparent. "Again, I want few casualties, and nothing cheap from my men. We are fair individuals and will fight honorably. Anyone who's got a qualm with that will have to answer to me." The ramp extended, meeting the snow below. Isaac gave a signal, and many armed men charged down the ramp and made a motion toward Kaipora. The battle begins. Vaude 536 Posted January 20, 2016 (edited) - Rufus Contralto and Dwarf (Ol' Yella) - Neutral - Outside Krile - Ol' Yella was oblivious to the quick peek into his wild yellow eyes, gazing quickly at the puncture wound at Deuce's neck, analysing it with a manic stare, and sweeping underneath a cupboard to grab a poultice. The bandage he pulled out reeked of herbs and mineral oils, almost enough to choke on the smell, and was abnormally small, just enough to cover the puncture wound. Ol' Yella merely placed it on the wound and it sat there, stuck like glue and sealed with a dark, crimson rune on the top of the poultice. Dwarves had only a basic runic system of magic, but they were excellent alchemists, metalsmiths, and medicinal healers, having a wide array of materials in the earth that can rarely be found anywhere else. Magic and medicine formed a beautiful symbiotic combination, as Rufus knew too well. After all, Rufus and Ol' Yella had the same teacher. "Almost as good as new," Rufus spoke with a grin, patting Deuce on the shoulder. "Still there is the wound, but skin knits quickly and will be fixed within two hours." Ol' Yella grinned as well beneath that bush of a beard and rushed off, proceeding to chop off the rocktail's head and place said head in a pot of peeled vegetables. Nobody likes the remnants anyway, so he threw those in the slop bucket. - Yltriss Hyulli - New Empire - Inside Oathkeeper as Prisoner - Yltriss awoke from her fitful sleep by the sound of the prison door opening and peered over to Fiora, covering herself modestly. This was a new face, the face of a youth that had seen much yet still retained innocence. She was on her guard, locking the door behind her, but it took either great foolishness or great strength for her to close herself in with a prisoner of the Empire. Yltriss, in her wounded state, did not want to test which of these she had. Furthermore, this was not the time to try an escape. "I'm not disturbed, and I do not need recovery," she croaked, pain still rallying itself in her abdomen. "If anything, the pain helps, but I'll be glad to take those clothes off your hands. Thank you." Her dark eyes looked up into Fiora's with gratitude, and she nudged her head over to the other side of the bed. "Toss them over here. I'll wear them later." Suspicion flickered within her gaze as she further looked at the girl. "Is there anything else you wish to discuss with me? You were not here, so you were commanded to bring those clothes here . . . and something else, am I correct?" - Kaspar Ulrich - Seraphim Order - City of Ruin - Kaspar nodded with a wide thankful smile, though it was not toward the guard Graham. It was Yevgeni that he was grateful to for the dark and out-of-the-way basement room, and not the guard that navigated him there. "This will be enough. Please give me time to regather my spirits, and give our leader my regards." With that, he left the unfortunate guard without a final salutation, closing himself within the darkness of the room. Kaspar basked in the darkness, reeling in the natural power of the earth and gathering it into himself. Dust that previously covered the room swirled about him and his illusion was discarded, revealing a skeletal facade of an seventy-year-old man wrapped in a brown cloak. His visage was replaced by a death's head, his once-fleshy hands removed of muscle and fat to show loose skin upon bone. At the end, the tide of power came to a halt and the illusion wrapped around Kaspar again, his robe shifting to a dark green, his face cheerful, and dark hair gathered on his barren head. He was refreshed and ready to join the others in the feast. What a human dalliance it is to throw a banquet, but what a perfect time it is to assess potential allies or pupils, he thought to himself. Keep your enemies close, your friends closer, and keep your created friends closest of all. His eyes lit with a pale light as he laughed hollowly, amused by his one-sided necromantical joke. The door swung open and Kaspar closed it behind him, heading toward the banquet hall. Edited January 20, 2016 by Vaude
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted January 20, 2016 (edited) - Henry - Uneasy alliance - Apartment. Henry took an angry expression for a few seconds as Ariana rambled about innocence, which caused Henry to instantly summon the dreadnaught armor around him, as he stood up, his voice sounding angry and serious. "Innocents huh? firetruckING INNOCENTS?!" His voice taking a lower pitch, as he took a step forward. "I had to deal with both raw power and the god damn experiments Korben's empire did to me...I lost my innocence the moment I left my home with the empire's promise they would cure my mother of her ilness!.". He said tightening his hands into fists, "I had every bone of my body replaced with this accursed tanzynite's material, both my mind and body were broken from the sheer pain of having. Every.firetrucking.Bone.Replaced, as scientists did nothing but laugh at my misery and pain." As he spoke his aura became stronger and more imposing, sending chill down the spines of anyone with enough magical power to feel it, well, meaning only Neena and Ariana anyway. "And guess WHAT?! my mother was left to rot by the empire!, they did not deliver in their promise, they simply left her there, alone, to die, I found her dead body after I escaped, i'l never forget the sorrow of the moment as I realized my only family was taken from me because of the empire, I wanted to lash out at the Empire and kill every single one of the bastards...but I didn't. Wanna know why? because that'd be meaningless, because vengeance, begget vengeance, in doing so i would be doing more harm than good." Henry said as he de-summoned the dreadnaught armor and sat down again, taking a normal expression again. "You're the only one to blame for letting yourself be corrupted by the power, too much darkness corrupts...as does too much light, hell, anything that is used in excess is bad, just look at the thousands of medicines that used in excess are used as poisons." Henry began speaking again after a moment of silence, "As for your earlies statement about Chrysalis...if she promised she'd find you, she will find you. If she's alive." Henry said picking up the beer again. "I didn't have anyone looking after me after I escaped, I was alone...and hunted by Neena." He said motioning his hand towards her, "You at least had someone at your side, even if it was Korben, you had Chrysalis, who you treated like a dog...wheter that is worthy of death or not...it doesn't matter. As what happened, happened, and we can't change that." Edited January 20, 2016 by Scrapmaster
Endless Thundaga 533 Posted January 20, 2016 (edited) Jynn & Riley Venas-Seraphim Order (Returning to The City of Ruin with some of Jynn's men) SATURN hears Cobica's question. "Yes sir, I'll be on it right away." A small tray switches out from a hidden compartment inside the armrest of Cobica's seat, along with a robotic hand placing a wine glass on the tray. The hand then places five bottles on a small desk in front of him. "Which would you prefer? Whiskey, rum, vodka, liquor, or tequila?" Meanwhile, Jynn and Riley are at the cockpit and they close the entrance to the craft. Jynn activates the lift thrusters, lifting the aircraft. He then activates the jet engines, and the plane takes off, heading for a large platform. A giant acrylic tube is wrapped around the platform, with a large door for aircraft to pass through. It is pierced through rock and it is kept watertight, keeping water out of the city. The tube towers to the surface. As he lands on the platform, he looks towards Riley. Concerned for her safety. "Are you sure you want to come with me? It will be a dangerous war." Riley glances at him. She has never heard Jynn question her motives. "Well....... yea. Why wouldn't I? I too want to help the Rebellion." she answers. Jynn reluctantly complies. He orders for the platform to lift his plane to the surface. The door to the platform is closed, and the ground begins to lift the aircraft, leaving Aida Corina (name of city, I thought I said it before) behind. Once at the surface, Jynn starts to prepare the engines for supersonic flight. As he stares at the surface of the sea, several dozen of fighter jets with his men inside breach out of the water. But then a giant aircraft emerges from the depths. He remembers to alert Cobica. "Oh yea. Cobica, I also plan to give you guys some of our fighter jets. There is an Airbus 380-900 freighter carrying them. I hope Yevgeni won't mind." As he finishes, his engines start to roar, and the aircraft takes to the sky at supersonic speed. Riley commands the air squadron and freighter to follow them. Edited January 20, 2016 by Khdude
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted January 20, 2016 {Nym - Neutral: The North; Siege of Hylvania} Nym smiled as her brother radioed her to start moving. She had wanted to move earlier, but Stark had told her to wait, and since it was him that told her, she actually listened. "Let's go." She told her band before she began to change into her werewolf form. Like Nym herself, her troops were more skirmishers then straight up soldiers, but that was what the tank was for. It rolled into the town first, with Nym and her troops nimbly coming along around it, some dashing into houses and killing any soldiers found there. Nym was gutting a soldier when her brother's second radio message arrived. For a moment, she looked concerned. Her brother was all she had left...No, now wasn't the time for that. "Got it." She growled into her radio. She moved back to the tank and changed again. She took a moment to steady herself before calling for reports from the different commanders on the field. Things seemed to be going well, except for the mechs that were moving in. "Blast." Nym mouthed before heading off to see these mechs for herself. {Ciriel - Messiah: Outside of Langerdon} After the final big jolt, Ciriel popped the hatch of her stealth pod and checked her surroundings, her Indra tucked into her shoulder. With the immediate area clear, she camouflaged the pod, then moved out. Her immediate concern was getting into Langerdon. Once inside, she felt confident she could find her targets. Finding people was something of a natural talent for her. After a few minutes of hiking, she came across a road, leading to Langerdon. She turned to head back into a more wooded area, but stopped when she heard a jolly little jingle. The immediate thought she had when she heard it was ice cream. "An ice cream truck?" She thought. She waited until a white truck appeared along the road, headed towards Langerdon. It was a dairy truck rather then a ice cream truck. "What does that matter?" She thought. "And why the hell am I waiting for it?" Though her instincts told her to hide, Ciriel remained standing on the side of the road. She felt like she was frozen in place. Panic began setting in as the truck came to a stop in front of her and the music that it was playing cut out. "Hello?" She managed to say. The door to the truck slid open, revealing a middle aged man in the white uniform of a milkman. He smiled at Ciriel and jerked his head for her to get in. "Need a lift, deary?" He asked jovial. Recollection sparked in Ciriel's mind, from back before she had fallen, where everything was a blur. "Ronnie?" She asked, confusion in her voice. Ronnie rolled his eyes. "Yes, yes." He answered. "It's me. Now get in. I've still got deliveries to get done." After a moment, Ciriel followed the order and got into the truck, closing the door behind her. A moment latter, it started up again, heading for Langerdon.
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted January 21, 2016 - Shinobi, Aka: Ayane Takahashi - Neutral - Kaipora - Kaipora was under threat, the New Empire closing in and would be charging through the streets at any moment reminiscent of the current state of Hylvania; Taken everywhere and not a hope in sight. And it just so happens that the Half-Resurrected Shinobi was within it's walls, internally bracing for the attack yet she was walking through the streets calmly, her sword in its sheath upon her back and her damaged armour still functioning and looking mostly well, mainly just giving her intimidation factor, or him, or her, all depending on the next guess made by someone, despite the suits male figure. Where was she headed? To find Thagmus Karn, De-Facto Leader of Kaipora and speak to him. She wished to assist in any war effort against the Empire she could and rather thankfully, she was never recognized as a Former Assassin for the Korbenic Empire as she was pitch perfect with stealth then. Regardless, she walked with some confidence apparent, but it was all inside, cockiness wasn't in her nature especially after her Death Experience. She soon came across a building, possible Thagmus's Council Building or whatever it was called, hearing some chatter and doing a scan for lifeforms. "Report: There are a f-f-few--lot of people within this b-b-building, Shinobi." Her slightly malfunctioning AI spoke, the stutter tended to be temporary so that was a plus. "Wonderful.." She mused in a modulated voice akin to that of another Cyborg Ninja in a remake of a classic video game, tapping her feet against the ground as she stood in front of the door. Raising her hand, she knocked with a four-knock beat and waited for a response, keeping a good posture and holding back certain feelings to ensure that she would not be perceived as a threat to them and their town's security. - Arkham, Aka: Nolan Vigil - Neutral, fights for Zion and Eclaire's Will - Hylvania - Hylvania was in turmoil...would be the greatest understatement ever uttered. It was utterly embroiled in chaos and conflict, with Taken Forces spewing from their numerous portals to kill, pillage and destroy, potentially Take more for their ever growing forces... And now, they had heavies. Taken/Tortured Knights were one thing, but these Robots...the Gate Lords as known in a distant world, were not only corrupted with Darkness itself, they were razing the town without discrimination or a sense of mercy...they vexed this place with their very presence and their singular, strangely amber coloured eyes conveyed only hatred as they marched and fired into Hylvania. As a building exploded from the cannon fire, there was still someone willing to defend this town and fight for a cause he believed lost to time at a point, but he now fights for her will once more... "Goddess of Light, be with me..." This uttered prayer preceded the approach of a suited-up man, walking past and through the fires and explosions without harm or as much as a simple reaction. His slow walk was unyielding and if one could see his face beyond his Tactical Visor, it was stoic but held behind it a unrelenting rage just itching to get out. This approach did not go unnoticed by the Gate Lords or Taken, as one of then saw him, narrowed its gaze and screeched with a deep, ear-grating noise that echoed through the town, garnering the attention of several Taken along with the Gate Lord as this man stopped in his tracks, a small distance away from them. Upon his back was a blade, of which it contained a visible crystal that hummed with purple Void Energy, which he gripped the handle of and slid it off his back slowly and lowered it down to his side, blade pointing down 45 degrees, with him taking a battle stance and looking directly into the Eye of the Gate Lord... Charging forward swiftly after this, his blade ready he ran towards the Gate Lord, cutting down several Taken Thralls with slash after slash and shoulder barging a Taken Acolyte into a nearby fire only to jump, raising his Blade and stabbing a Taken Knight straight through its face, killing it and banishing it from existence as its body disintegrated and was sucked away in true Taken fashion, allowing him to kill more Taken attempting to surround him, slashing diagonally at one then kicking away another behind him and pulling out one of his Heavy Pistols to shoot one in the face and made a dismissive slash to his right, as the blade was in his right hand, knocking down a Taken Psion and continuing his rush towards the Gate Lord. Void Power surged through him as during his rush, he began floating weightlessly and just slightly above ground as he rotated in mid-air to his right, bring his sword close as energy cascaded through it and himself, completing his rotation to face the Lord again and releasing the slash, unleashing a Void Whirlwind that careened towards it and impacts heavily, severely draining its thick shield and causing it to stagger, but only slightly as it returns to form by firing several blasts from its Torch Hammer that it held. The blasts impacted around him as it was almost a panic barrage but one did head directly for him, prompting him to block with his Sword, as Void Energy channeled into a shield, mostly blocking the blasts, with some damaging sparks scrape by him, only prompting him to aggressively lower this Guard and get closer to the Gate Lord in question, taking out a Pistol in his left hand and firing rapidly to wear down the weakened shield, only putting it away to grip his sword in two hands and do a vertical jumping slash on the Lord, depleting its shield and allowing him to stab the weak point in its abdomen to cause more damage. The Gate Lord reacted poorly to this, pushing him back with a blast of Kinetic Energy and fired smaller blasts from its Torch Hammer Weapon, but the man deflected them with heavy slashes, with one of them being thrown back at the Gate Lord's Left Leg, causing it to kneel, but still fire as he rushed sword first to stab its neck, which he did but his sword was jammed and the Lord knocked him to the side with its gun, making him fall over, but quickly get back up and pull out both Pistols and fire repeatedly into its abdomen-based weak point. With a Void Blade jutting out of its throat, its leg compromised and its weak point being savaged the Gate Lord was showing signs of weakness, falling to both knees and having to steady itself with its free hand while to fired back with heavy blasts and missiles as a last ditch effort to kill this man...but upon a sudden, its missiles flew away all over the place and hit several Taken on the command of said man, who then, with a hand gesture, caused the weakened Gate Lord's now vulnerable weapon to stall and fail...then contort and crush in on itself becoming a useless hunk of junk and left the Gate Lord defenseless as he walked up and grabbed the Blade's hilt. The Gate Lord screeched in apparent confusion, so the Mechromancer leaned in closer and spoke in a Modulated, deep voice. "In case you're wondering, my Vex Friend...my name is Arkham...and i say to you...firetruck you." With this, he used both hands to pry off the Gate Lords head with the Blade, killing it and claiming its Eye for himself, cutting it out and putting it in one if his many pockets. He then turned around, seeing more Taken ready to fight...maybe showing something resembling fear. "Your Gate Lord's defensive protocols couldn't stop me crushing his weapon in the end...I don't need any of that to crush your heads! Come on!!" He called to them, raising his Sword in both hands ready to fight more. -Zanza Quinn - Neutral, now supports Messiah - Biromoore - "We won't earn peace if we don't try and break the cycle of war..." The stand off between Cyler, Draksis and Jeremy Hunter was stumbled upon and interrupted by another visitor and potential combatant...a being of two realms: The Heavens and Inferno itself...or Heaven and Hell, depending on perspective. He was a Nephalem; a Half-Angelic Half-Demonic Being, capable of great power, great skill and all-encompassing greatness, depending on his skill-set or current situation, like now involved talking. He walked with a Katana like a Cane yet he didn't need it, wore a Black Long-Coat with Blue Decals upon the back and a Blue Sash on his upper left arm, with hefty boots, proper-fitting trousers, gloves and swept-back white hair, covered by a small Fedora-Hat as he entered the fray. "And Oryx lives for War and Unrest, it's his nature and a requirement to his existence, without it he would die." He uttered, stopping near them, resting his hand upon his Katana-Cane. "The Taken King lives and breathes war. He lives to kill and "Take" warriors to shape into his mindless drones...with the most powerful taking their place at his side with some measure of consciousness remaining within....disgusting." His voice was filled with dread and, evidently, disgust as he explained Oryx's Motives and why he only bodes ill. "In the grand scheme of things, you are irrelevant, Cyler. You are a pawn...Draksis. And as for you....Jeremy...your role now depends on your side: Seraphim or Messiah. Seraphim means I cut you down right here, right now. Messiah means I will take a stand against these maniacs with you. And in the end of it all, the King will Fall...peace will be had...and the path will be clear for the next to rule." He said, gesturing lightly, then scoffing as he realized the situation at hand. "You just appeared didn't you, Cyler? And you, Draksis...you're here for theatrics. Jeremy is the only one here with a cause, right? My knowledge of your names comes down to pure research and observation. I'm quite good at that when my sword doesn't answer absolutely everything." He slightly snarked as he said the last part, then he awaited responses from the respective parties.
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted January 21, 2016 (edited) - Draksis - New empire - Biromoore. Draksis simply moved his head to the side aknowledging the new member of the standoff, as the man criticized Oryx, Draksis examined him, a samurai, whose name was Zanza, empire records spoke a bit about him. "An impossible task, one that has been sought for millenia, but every time this so called "peace" came, it fell within years of its beginning." Draksis commented. "Incorrect. Oryx doesn't live for war and unrest, if he did so the people would be...miserable, but in one year, the civilians are much better off than they were during the reign of Korben...While he does wage war now, it is for a cause, not just because of one's wish." Draksis began to speak. "Oryx lives for order and control." "If you believe peace will follow after Oryx's demise, then you are astoundingly naive, peace never lasts, regardless of rulers or not, its not Oryx's nature to wage war, it is all living being's, im sure you know...for example this 'Seraphim order', who wage war against Oryx, but are astoundingly cruel and genocidal...look at the slaughter at goldolvia at their hands, not a single man, woman or child was left alive...but if you say only Oryx is at fault...then I will leave you to your illusions, naive child" Draksis said, sighing under his helmet. "And what are you here for Zanza? to mock Cyler? me? or to praise Jeremy? or are you here to prove something? what business do you have here." Draksis asked, direct and serious. - Hylvania siege - The destroyed taken gate lord quickly exploded, not creating a portal however, its essence, per say, its power was left in the air, as the other two gate lords held their free hand to the sky, as they absorbed the destroyed one's essence. This caused them to glow more with power as they slamed their hands into their torch cannons, as the weapons glowed brightly for a short time, they were pretty much unseeable as they shined, as one of them fired their newly upgraded torch cannon at a enemy crowd, the shot itself exploded, but clusters of smaller orbs burst out of the explosion area, blowing up as well, covering a larger area with more damage. Not only that but the gate lords also had now 4 orbs circling them at time, as a rocket was shot at them, and their shields blocked the attack, one of these orbs was sent as a reactive counter measure, the orb traveled fast, and exploded onto the unfortunate soul to fire a rocket onto it, the orb took a few seconds to reappear. MDSVeritas 299 Posted January 21, 2016 (edited) Kavris - Kaipora - Behind the door Shinobi could likely hear some shuffling and terse, hushed voices. Finally, a voice rose above the rest. "I've got it!" The voice sounded... joyful. Other voices joined in momentarily in some sort of protest. "No! N- I've got it! No! Shut up, I'm opening it!" The voice was getting closer as it spoke, as the other voices continued to protest. The nearing voice rang out again. "Nah nah nah, I can't hear you, nah nah nah, I'm opening the door!" As if they were covering their ears to blot out the words of others in the room. The door opened and Shinobi stood face to face with Kavris; a short black-haired human with a crisp shirt and vest on, and childish smirk on his face. In his hand was a small, stubby pole with a piece of white tapestry on it; a surrender flag. Thagmus Karn and his guards stood back a ways in the building, at the ready, and utterly shocked at the proceedings. Kavris frowned when he saw who the new visitor was. "Aww, hey you're not the empire." Edited January 21, 2016 by MDSVeritas
The Unversed 168 Posted January 21, 2016 (edited) - Zane - New Empire - currently in Hylvania "I am no one to you rebel leader Stark Red, nor do I want to be anyone... I must say tho, I didn't expect a counter attack against my men in such numbers this big... but all your efforts are going to waste rebel. For you see my leader Oryx can see through my eyes & I've already seen the entire town from each outpost I took out, which was all of them. I must admit I didn't expect Oryx to lend me more of his men to assist in this mission. But anyway... you lost this war the moment you let me see this towns layout since my leader can see through my eyes he can keep sending more men until this town is taken back" said Zane as he drew his fan weapon from his back slamming it on the ground. "As for this valentine & their unexpected appearance here, It just goes to further provide me with evidence in my suspicions which I'll be telling lord Oryx after your death rebel leader Stark." said Zane as a 2 bright energy beam attacks zoomed across the forest area destroying some of trees from Oryx's huge robots that had just appeared. Zane walked in front of one of the energy beams blocking it with his fan weapon absorbing it into the fan "General Zane, this is the commander ship speaking, their ship seems to be lowering to the ground. We believe their trying to provide more troops to the towns defense & your men have managed to exit to the outskirts of the town as were your orders general Zane, orders for now sir?" said the commander of the ship through a ear phone. "Now that my men are outside this town I can focus on taking out this rebel leader Stark & depending on how strong this rebel leader is I'll keep my surprise attack with my outskirt men on standby. Meanwhile you & your ships are to keep up your firing at that Valentine's commander ship while the robots & reinforcement troops push further into this town. We are under orders to take back Hylyania at all costs so don't let up the assault" said Zane into his ear phone before ending communication. "Now... lets start our first fight rebel leader Stark" said Zane as he then sent the absorbed energy beam attack from his fan at the ground beneath his feet creating a cloud of dust. As the dust settled Zane wasn't in sight, Zane then appeared by coming up from the ground passing through it as he come up just behind Stark about to swing his fan at his head "Die!" shout Zane. - Dark Heart & Sahail (Both Criminal Underworld) - currently in Shivering Moors Dark Heart & Sahail Had finally reach the front gates of Shivering Moors seeing 2 Elf guards at the gates entrance. Dark heart & Sahail walked up to them weapons in hand as they approached the guards "Stop right there intruders! how'd you get this far without us hearing about your approach?!" shouted one elf guard while Dark Heart just lifted up her blade as it started to glow a bright yellow colour looking like it was charging up. "Uh! quickly! put up a barrier magic!" yelled the other elf guard "Right!" yelled the other elf guard as they combined their magic powers to create a great green coloured magic barrier "Try as you might this barrier is our strongest magic spell to protect our village from intruders like you! you evil beings from hell" said one of the elf guards. Just as that elf guard finished his sentence Dark Heart brought down her blade & in an instant there was a wave that seemed to cut the air itself coming from her Peashy blade slicing straight down the middle of the barrier dispersing it. "Come Sahail, we have work to do" said Dark heart as she coughed a bit as she walked pass the now shocked in fear elf guards with Sahail following her from behind. As both Dark Heart & Sahail entered the village of the elves Dark Heart eyed the area, looking around the village before she sniffed the air "It's somewhere around here..." said Dark Heart "What are you looking for in this stupid weird ear looking village Dark heart? & it better be a good reason to come here from Pandora on foot or I'll shoot you right here" said Sahail as she pointed a gun at Dark heart from behind. "We're here to find a person that has been living here a long time, this person can help erase the rebels & I sure they can help me find the person I'm after as well." said Dark heart "Hm... that sounds quite interesting. & here I thought you just wanted to kill some elves & erase their village to cut down the rebel's forces in numbers. Cause that's what I plan on going, hehe" said Sahail as she pointed her gun at some elf people "Just remember Sahail, kill those who attack first" said Dark Heart as she walked away from Sahail "Yeah, yeah. I know" said Sahail as Dark Heart walked away "Too bad my fingers were crossed, hehe" whispered Sahail as she walked away to provoke some elves. - Rei (Neutral) & Yagyu (Seraphim Order) - currently in City of Ruin As Ava sat at the table both Rei & Yagyu joined her at the table by sitting down in their seats "My! your mother must truly love you for her to give you such a wonderful gown my dear. I wish I had some daughters to give or make some pretty dresses for..." said Rei to Ava with a smile on her face right before she shoved some bread in her mouth eating it quickly. Yagyu's face lit up a bit in surprise after hearing that Yev had mentioned her to others, Yagyu greatly respects her leader Yevgeni as she feels calmer & more confident when he's around. Yagyu also feels like she can trust him with anything, even secrets. yagyu's face was starting to turn a bit red "Um... yagyu my dear, are you okay?" said Rei with some bread sticking out of her mouth. Yagyu shook her head "Y-yes Rei I'm fine" said Yagyu cooling off right before Yevgeni entered the feasting room clapping his hands together. After Yev turned his attention to Yagyu asking for her grim report & news yagyu stood up to speak, but as she was about to give her report she looked around seeing the other rebels around feasting & enjoying their food, drinks & each others company. Yagyu's head lowered & did her eye "I-I can't tell him now, not with everyone around. They'd all just blame me for what happened in Godolvia & for why the Seraphim Order's name is stained as killers to the world" thought yagyu. "It... it can wait til tomorrow Yev... I don't feel well today anyway, please excuse me leader" said Yagyu as she just left the feasting room through a door while Rei just continued to eat more in a strange manner. Yagyu soon was walking down one of many hallways heading to her room with her eye lowered to looking at the floor while she walked deep in thought until she heard a door close. Yagyu looked up to see Kaspar all dressed up & ready to join the others in the feasting room, Yagyu's eye narrowed as she walked pass him. Yagyu then stopped turning around to ask a question to this strange man "Hey you! What's your name?" said Yagyu sounding a little bit demanding. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted January 22, 2016 Cyler -- Criminal Underworld -- Biromoore "You guys are a lot more boring than I thought you were going to be." Cyler commented after the arrival of Miss Universe the Nephalem and his ensuing philosophical debate with boring Iron Man. "Listen folks, all this talk of war and peace doesn't mean a thing. Men will do what they want, regardless of who's in power. The chaos of war just gives them an excuse. Personally, not a fan of excuses. Better to just be honest with ourselves if you ask me. I kill because it's fun, and I gain more power. And with more power, comes more fun killing. A vicious cycle." Cyler spoke, his eyes darting from person to person, watching each of them. Each so confident. I'm not going to die today. That's what everyone thinks. Cyler enjoyed proving people wrong almost as much as killing, especially since they tended to double up. "Anyway, back on topic. I'm going to kill you and take your power. Let's get started." Cyler stomped the ground, and channeled Sting of Winter through his boot. Ice spread across the ground, a hundred yard radius of a ground of pure ice. Limiting mobility was always the correct first step to a battle royale. A demonic suit appeared around him, striped orange and red across his body, with thick gauntlets around his forearm and a helm of blue and brown. Not the most color coordinated suit out there, but he didn't have the ability to change the appearance. That was the most disappointing thing about this ability really. Now cloaked in the Valkyrie suit, he leaped backwards. His feet touched the wall of a nearby building. Then he kicked off with incredible strength, sending the wall crumbling inward as Cyler surged forward, a flying punch headed straight for Zanza. Kinzoku -- New Empire -- Siege of Kaipora Kinzoku gestured to her mages. "You head him guys. Stay at the gates, no one goes in, no one goes out. Not without explicit orders from me, Isaac or pretty boy whose name also starts with an I." She leaned in closer to the group of mages and whispered quietly. "If you end up killing our own men, char the body beyond recognition then make it look like an accident." She advised. Then she stood upright again and gave them a broad smile. "I'll be off then! Be good boys, I'll be back for you." She blew them a kiss, then skipped away, headed back for the hatch that she had found before. She got out of the ship, then leaped off the top. She dived gracefully down, the wind tearing at her flawless skin, her dark hair billowing behind her as she fell. It felt so good. But unfortunately, it would have to end. Business time after all. Her ingots swung out of her backpack and she deftly manipulated them into a parachute and harness. The wind caught rather quickly, and she began to fall more slowly. Now the people on the walls were beginning to notice her. A little late unfortunately. Ingots from her bag floated out, stretched, and sharpened. Then she pushed her hand forward, and they flew forward. Bullseye. The guards fell off the walls and onto the ground as Kinzoku landed. Perfect. Ryonne -- Messiah -- Siege of Kaipora Ryonne watched the ship come increasingly close to the town of Kaipora. Things were still quiet, but he had spotted an advance agent jump from the ship and into the town. He took a deep breath, then put the binoculars back in the seat pocket. He needed to hurry, things were going to get bad, and quick. The Swordsman hopped back onto his speeder, and roared into the night, circling around the town of Kaipora, awaiting the perfect opportunity to strike. Cobica -- Seraphim Order -- Flight back from Venas-ville "Tequila. Thanks I appreciate it. Real glad that King Prude hasn't banned alcohol. Seems like the type that would approve prohibition." Cobica commented, taking a sip from the glass after the AI poured it for him. When Jynn's voice came on the air again, Cobica replied quickly. "I'll just pretend to know what kind of plane that is, sound good?" He said. The Half-Breed took another sip of the tequila. It was pretty good. Not the best out there, but pretty good. "I'm pretty sure that Yev isn't about to say no to a bunch of state-of-the-art fighters." He concluded the reply. Stark -- The North -- Siege of Hylvania The Young Wolf rapidly turned, blocking the strike with his blade. He held the sword in place with both his hands, gaining proper footing before pushing away, hoping to send Zane away. Stark knew that this man had some impressive abilities, an otherworldly being. Notttt good. Stark gritted his teeth. He didn't want to transform yet, though that would certainly give him the edge that he needed to dominate this encounter. But he wanted to keep track of the battlefield... New players had appeared, giant mechs, an armored man... The huge ship that had appeared was evidently working to evac the civilians. Good, good. The North's artillery had switched from AA to standard cannons, and were doing much more important work barraging the ground troops and mechs. After all, the huge ship that had appeared had brought the focus onto it, so the artillery could actually properly defend the walls. The engineers that weren't working on the guns were reinforcing the walls and rebuilding some of the turrets that had already been destroyed. Nym seemed to be doing well, which was the best news of all. He couldn't lose his sister, not after all that had happened, all that she had done for him. Stark looked back to his opponent, and focused in on the battle. Taking out the commander of a battle was the easiest route to ending it. He surged forward, and slashed downward powerfully with his blade. The North lieutenant looked to the man from the ship. He shook his head. "Sir, we are the North. The North does not bow out the second things get bad. Evacuate the civilians and Seraphim Order troops, and if things are still going badly, then I'll consider listening to you. But for now, unless Lord Stark or Lady Nymeria tell me otherwise, I will fight and die for these people." He said, then gave a salute to the Messiah officer. Then he snapped his fingers, and barked an order to his own division of snipers. "Keep at it men! Take out the soldiers that pose a threat! Leave the mechs and vehicles to the artillery!" Neena -- Tanzynite Crusade -- Langerdon Apartment Neena smiled when Henry hulked out. She knew there was a reason she had allied with him opposed to the dozens of other rebel stragglers. That savvy anger the boiled underneath his calm surface. It was satisfying. Neena flicked her glance to Ariana. "You have ten seconds to get out of my house before I start shooting. And I'll use exploding arrows this time around." She said harshly. Neena was unsure why she was going to let Ariana go. She was an assassin, a crusader. When it came to her kill list, Ariana was pretty damn high. But... There was something about how pathetic this woman was. Neena couldn't bring herself to do it. Endless Thundaga 533 Posted January 22, 2016 Jynn & Riley Venas-Seraphim Order (Flight back from Jynn's city, Aida Corina) A few hours into the flight, Jynn has a small talk with Riley. He soundproofs the room. "When we arrive, you need to show respect to the Seriphim Order's leader. His name is Yevgeni. He seems friendly, but......." He stops. He turns back towards the window, while Riley tilts her head, confused. Jynn sighs and continues, "he seems to have darkness within him. I can sense it. I don't know what's causing it, so we need to be careful." Riley becomes curious. She has never seen him so concerned before. "You sure you don't know what's causing his darkness?" Jynn nods. The cockpit is briefly silent, until Riley suddenly turns away from her nervousness and tries to give Jynn a boost in confidence. "Well, whatever happens, I'm sure you can handle it." Jynn chuckles. Can he handle it? At this point he is not even sure. But nevertheless he keeps his head up. "We have arrived sir." SATURN suddenly chimes in with the City of Ruin in plain sight. Finding a good place to land, Jynn powers down the engines and the plane quickly slows down from supersonic speed and starts to descend, with his men not too far behind. "Tell Cobica we're landing, SATURN. "The computer does exactly what it is expected to do. "Cobica, we are about to land." Jynn grabs a intercom to communicate with his troops. "Remember, we are not here to conquer land. We are here to assist the Rebellion. Any act treason to them will be an act of treason to me." As the plane gets closer to the ground, Jynn activates the landing gear, and the aircraft slowly touches down on the ground. Then the craft comes to a smooth halt. The entrance opens. Jynn turns towards the cockpit door, as well as Riley. They take a moment to ready themselves, then they head for the entrance.
