On this site, frequently I see people saying stupid things such as:

 

"KH3 will be 80% done by E3"
"KH3 is almost done"

Just like they said:

No new music

Placeholder battle quotes

Incomplete worlds (twilight town)

Bad run animations for Goofy

That weird bug in one of the trailers where Goofy was froze in midair 

 

How on earth is this game even close to being done? If the game is so close to completion please explain why:

We've seen no Final Fantasy characters.

No Disney characters besides Goofy and Donald.

We've only seen 1 actual cutscene.

 

Obviously I'm not acting ungrateful, I'm pointing out the fact that this game is not close to being done. Please refrain from saying that as you're spreading lies and misinformation As much as we all want the game to be done don't cling onto false hope and stupid expectations you've made up in your head.

 

The 2014 engine switch pushed development back so Square lost a ton of assets. 

 

The statement about KH3 being in the 'advanced stages of development', for some reason people think this means the game is done or close to being done... 

 

Allow me to elaborate in pictures:

Imagine KH3 as a human body and Square Enix are mad scientists that want to create it.

 

Square Enix have managed to create the:

 

 

Skeleton of the game. The basic structure is done.

 

 

But now, Square Enix are adding the

: meat

 

To the game.

 

The skeleton has been made, but now it needs flesh and organs and blood to function. Making the organs will take a while. Be patient and please stop saying the game is done or close to it.

KH3 will be released in Europe in 2018, that was my prediction a year ago and it remains unchanged. I can't guess (or actually I don't care) when it will release in the rest of the world.

KH3 is 120% finished but they hold it back just for the lulz.

It will be almost done in about a year and a half from now, but that's just my guess

We're lucky if Square are 30% done, the game is absolutely no where near finished. Did you see Twilight Town in the latest trailer? An entire area is missing from the trailer, being the Sandlot. Plus the gameplay is still pretty clunky looking, although it is looking better with every trailer. Sora's facial animations are still iffy, they need to show a bit more emotion in a fluid way. Enemy and partner AI doesn't look up to date yet. Graphics look good so far, still could use a bit of improvement. No new music yet. No English voice acting yet (Other than the YX/YE conversation snippit). I doubt the game is balanced yet. There's many more things I can list, but the game is no where near finished.

I think so too, once 2.8 is finished, the ball can finally start rolling and they'll have more people to work on KH3. I know 2.8's development doesn't impact KH3, but the more people working on KH3, the better. Once 2.8 is done all the people working on it can go back to KH3.

That's the year I finish school forever (A levels will be done by summer 2018 ). That'd be INSANE to me, mainly because I played KH1 when I was about 2 and was just starting nursery. By the time KH3 releases (if it is 2018) I'd have finished all 16 years in one school. I'll be 18 by then if so .

In one of them I didn't post (I just didn't see the topic that day ), and in the other one I agreed with you ! I said the end of 2017 the earliest, but it wouldn't release around here until 2018 or even 2019.

Yeah, and I'm really not wanting a rushed game, and also after thinking for a bit I'm glad they waited till now, because the tech is much more capable of doing the worlds justice.

Exactly. I just cannot fathom a 2018 release date though, which is why I am set on a 2017 release

Maybe because the game literally went full force development just sometime before the E3 2013 reveal.

I have come across forums where people will make up complete bull of of the blue even though there is evidence that counters it or nowhere has it been said. I realize people do it to make themselves feel good and better probably out of denial. Why are they in denial? Beats me.

I'm actually more excited for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 at the moment because 2.8 is going to be release this year. As for Kingdom Hearts 3 the game is still deep development. Kingdom Hearts 3 will have a release date real soon and I believe it will be release in late 2017 or early 2018.

When the harami urge is powerful (I was thinking it too)On topic: I've always thought the earliest it would be done is late 2017, though for personal reasons, I've always wanted it to release in summer 2017 as I'll have 3 months to play between exams finishing and uni starting. Realistically though, I know 2017 is a longshot
