I'd be here all day if I went into full depth, so I'll just give the short version and say that it has helped me through many challenging times in my life and it has helped serve as a standard as to how I should treat my friends and loved ones and how I should try to go about my life. In a sense the series is one of the many things that significantly define me, and I can't imagine a world where I never discovered it. <3

If you have a dream, don't wait - act.  I really need to start taking that advice.

Kingdom Hearts also got rid of my 13 phobia, and got me through my first semester at a four year college.

Funny that you mentioned this. Well for me...it's one of the many things that inspire me to do art and even trying write stories also in trying making my own crossovers xD . Well, it's the most honest anwser i have.

Well, it's hard and kind of embarrassing to explain, but I'll say it anyway. It helped me to connect with Sora, Roxas, Ventus, and Vanitas (don't ask >.<). Why? Cause I was lonely. I wanted friends and someone to love, even though I did find someone (he broke up with me, though). They were with me before I had a boyfriend and they're still with me to this day. S-Sorry if I sound weird...

It means a lot to me. I grew up on it and have some great memories. I can't imagine not having it in my life.

I can't even ask people in my country if they are playing it or know it because if I tell them about it they are like: ''Oh Disney? You are playing a child game?'' etc.. So there's no point asking them...

To be honest, for me Kingdom Hearts is just another game, I haven't got a special link to it or anything.

Exactly.  I love this game series, but it hasn't really taught me any new things that I haven't already learned from my family, school, cartoon/anime, and other video games.  As for how much it means to me... well, I do love the characters, but I love a ton of characters from multiple games and shows, so it nothing new.

I get how you feel.  In fact, I feel the same way.  Not with the KH characters, but with characters from other games or anime.  So, don't worry about sounding weird.  And if it is weird, well I'm weird too, so you're not alone! :)

I've been playing Kingdom Hearts since I was 5 or 6 years old. It's been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I can't imagine a life without it. It's been like a family member to me for most of my life, and when I hear Simple and Clean or Sanctuary, see the openings, or see a really well done and emotional AMV, the "feels" get extremely strong. I get so emotional for many reasons, one of them being simply such strong nostalgia, and another reason being because it reminds me of how much this game series means to me. It's so strange to think that a silly little Disney game had and has such a strong impact on my life and can even bring me to tears sometimes just thinking about it. It truly is a unique game series, and I love it, it's flaws and all. I love the serious moments and I love the cheesy moments. I loved Kingdom Hearts the first moment I began playing it and I will continue loving it until the day I die. This game series, this story, this gameplay, and these characters mean so incredibly much to me, and I can't imagine that ever changing.

It's the same with other video game characters (i.e. Undertale) and anime characters, too.

Long story short, KH started as just a game for me, and only really meant something in 2011 and 2012

I went through a really dark time in my life, and felt like ending it several times. I would play KH to try and feel a little happier, and it worked. I played it several times, not everyday, but at least five or six times a week, mostly DAYS and KH1. They helped me a lot, and I can't explain it any better than the games made me feel like there was still hope. Sora goes through all of KH 1, and can still be happy and cheerful. That meant something to me, and still does, if not as importantly as it did then. I also connected with Roxas, and played DAYS several times, more than I care to admit now. Even with the downbeat ending, DAYS meant a lot to me.

So yeah..KH is kinda important to me. Not AS much as it used to be, but still there.

What it has taught me is in the midst of this dark world we live in, there is always light bright enough to keep it alive. Kingdom Hearts actually has created a kingdom of hearts connected. This one thing, this series, has allowed my heart to connect with other people in a way I can't describe. It is a video game, but what it has done is something probably not many other series have done and that is connecting hearts. It has done that for me in making new friends and never would I have imagined a video game series could do that. That's what Kingdom Hearts means to me.

Hey guys! This is my first post, and it's a pleasure to introduce myself.

I am more so neutral, about how much it means to me or, taught me. I like kh because of the story, I keep a journal to figure out some of the questions I have about the kh universe before kh3 comes.

This guy gets it! I honestly can't remember how my life was before Kingdom Hearts.  (I started last year). I see myself improved because of what Kingdom Hearts has taught me.
