I was watching a video of Project Magic Kingdom Hearts and I was thinking as I saw all of the cosplayers in the video, are we crazy as a fan base? I mean, I think about how much people talk about it and how some people we know cosplay and so on and how far we go with the cosplay. Are we crazy or would this be considered normal?

Yes cosplay is normal. Its everywhere. Comic con, pax east. Etc. Its not crazy

Haha, dude, when it's something like Kingdom Hearts, and when we, the fans, love it so much, we're bound to show our love for the franchise in different ways! Cosplaying is definitely one of them!  I think it's perfectly fine to cosplay as KH characters!  After all, if people can cosplay as Marvel and Star Wars characters, why shouldn't people cosplay as KH characters, ya know?  I think it's awesome that fans show their love for the series with cosplays!

I, myself am going to cosplay as the Mysterious Figure at next weekend's Comic-Con, and I couldn't be more excited!  I just hope people recognize me as a KH character and don't confuse me for a Sith Lord! xD

Well every fanbase is going to have its share of fans who are very passionate, and then more casual fans. I don't think it would be fair to generalize the entire fanbase as being "nuts" however. Sure there may be some fans who take things overboard but that's definitely not the case with everyone.

As for cosplaying, I think that's pretty normal, not my thing personally, but it's one of many ways to express your love and enjoyment for the series.

Cosplaying is not a crazy thing. In fact, it's very widespread. People have cosplayed many characters such as Luffy, Naruto, Sora, Spider-Man, Super-Man etc.

And there's no such thing as going to far with a cosplay. It's either done well, done poorly or done purely for attention (such as the sexy *insert character here* cosplays)

Well, if we are nuts, I don't think any of us want to be sent for help.

Kingdom Hearts fans are crazy, but not due to the cosplay or anything creative we do (except maybe our original characters).Kingdom Hearts fans are crazy because they get a game with a crap story and they adore it.They love the nonsense logic of Kingdom Hearts. They love the fact that nothing really makes sense (time travel).Nothing is airtight logic in this series. Anything can happen, as long as it moves the plot.Yes.Kingdom Hearts fans are crazy.

To be honest I don't think we're that noteworthy yet at this point. Nothing really stands out to me that other fandoms aren't known for. If Kingdom Hearts fans are crazy, that's only because fans of anything in general are crazy too. But in terms of things like people making jokes or memes about us, I don't think we've quite hit the level of infamy that some fan bases have gotten such as Sonic or various animes. At least, that's just my opinion. :P

Wow... I Have never thought about it that way and yet it is so relatable and true (with the exception of the crap story).

So let me get this straight

Cosplaying as KH characters is crazy.........but harassing people for disliking & criticizing aspects about the Kingdom Hearts series is A-okay.................yes the KH fanbase isn't just crazy....it's atrocious

Well amoung our kind of people, that kinda thing is normal. But trust me, there are some weird fans out there.

Maybe? As Johnny Madman stated the fanbase in general do like the kookiness of Kingdom Hearts. Then again there are people in the fanbase who hate how illogical Kingdom Hearts is. Yeah some people cosplay, some don't. Either way it's all in good fun.

I don't think you can collectively group people under a label. Especially since everyone has a different definition of 'crazy'. But who knows, ¯_(ツ)_/¯ maybe I'm crazy.

no. but football fans are.

My parents know only a little bit of it from me. My mom also showed me a picture of a friend of hers (who cosplays) dressed up as Kairi (I think it was KH1).
