Well who do you think is considered the real main character of Birth by Sleep. I think that it's Ven because the whole story is mostly about him because he is the one who will create the X blade and the beggining is about him. Another reason is that Ven fits the stereotype of a main character cause he is the youngest and its about how he becomes stronger and defeats his darkness (vanitas). And he is connected to Sora

Reasons why Terra or Aqua can't be the main characters in my opinon:

Terra eventually uses darkness in the end and ends up being posessed. And later becomes Xehanort the apprentice. The person who gives into darkness is not usually the main character.

And Aqua, even though she saved both her friends in the end, she had no story or goal in the beggining, like Terra's goal was not to fall to the Darkness and deafeat Xehanort (this was in the end), and Ven had to try not to become an X blade and defeat Vanitas. Well Aqua had no goal like that except to be with her friends. And when there is a story with two guys and one girl the mian charcter is usually one of the guys and not the girl (well most of the time).

Well thats my opinion what do you guys think is the real main character of bbs, please vote.

"The three of us will always be one" I think aqua says that...All three of them are the main character, you can't have one without the others

Technically, to me, the most important character in BBS was Terra

It's all 3 of them

but to put it in an order how much story or importance each one has...

Aqua-Ven-Terra

=> reversed order of playing the story

 

 

Terra has only connections to Riku because of this official ritual

Ven has great connections to Sora because of....you know...Roxas, his heart in Sora etc

but Aqua has the most influences because she met Sora and Riku, made the official ritual to Kairi (unintentional and unnoticed) and because of her Kairi came to Destiny Island and she wanted to make Sora her successor but didn't do it => the one she wanted to make her successor became the hero, that's why she cried in secret ending after Ansem told her Soras name

and she seems to be the main enemy of M. Xehanort because Terra and Ven were easy to make unable to act

 

and she has the most of story to play because she has her normal story, last episode with the final boss and got secret episode in FM

he was a BbS only character till DDD

because he didn't appear in other games...he "died" in BbS

and I think that Vanitas in DDD is just a symbolic meaning, because Vanitas is only an indirect part of Sora because Vanitas was a part of Ven

and that Vanitas looks like Sora is because Sora shared his heart with Ven..so maybe he is a part of Sora, too ....but we have to wait for DDD where we will get more information about it...at least I hope for this

Thats not a spoiler its in a trailer and just his opinion anyway I think all three are important but Aqua's choices have the biggest impact of the overall story.

Helps Ventus defeat Vanitas>Destroys the X-Blade>Creates Castle Oblivion>And sacrifices herself (which ultimately aided Xehanorts Plans)to save Terranort

The last one is obviously a terrible decision seeing as she literally just brought back her Arch-Nemisis but still.

Not gonna say this is a smart question or worth discussing because there are multiple main characters. Not just Terra, Aqua, and Ven.

Terra...well im really not sure but i think it's Terra because he's the first one your suppose to pick(some people pick ven first because he looks like a boss )

It's Xehanort.

 

Everything in the game stems from him. He's the one who's trying to accomplish something, and everyone else either dances to his tune, or dithers around.

 

Ven and Terra are more plot devices than anything. Aqua was perhaps the greatest candidate to be the true main character, but not nearly enough time is spent on putting her in the driver's seat.

All of them. Sure Aqua has the Final Episode and boss but the story focus is still on all three of them even if Aqua is the only "survivor" they still never take the focus away from Ventus, Terra and Aqua as a trio going through all this together. I didn't really describe this as well as I wanted to but my point is still there.

Xion. She is the be all and end all of Kingdom Hearts... Everything is about her.

Aqua It IS. BBS was to explain how all this mess started and how we are to 3D now i mean M.Xehanort the X-Blade and etc etc... Aqua was a master she went to the RoD she faught Xehanort when he had take over Terra's body. Aqua did most of the job there. She hid Ven in the Castle Oblivion which was searched by Org XII memebers to find the room of sleep and Ven. SO AQUA IT IS FOR ME

The main characters are Aqua,Terra,Ven,Master Eraqus,Master Xehanort, Vanitas, and King Mickey.

You should all know this if you have the game.

She fights the final boss and has most of the story parts.

 

Sure, Ven has the connection to Sora, but I see no reason why that would make him the MC. He is some sort of plot device which just happens to have some legs to move

One could, if I am that mean, just switch Ven with an item, that gets lost. :mellow:

AQUA!!!!! She was the one that set everything up for KH1 and was a true master and made castle oblivion, put ventus in there where he found soras heart AND helped terra and saved his life!

I'd say it's mostly between Aqua and Terra. The only thing Ventus does is forge the X-blade, forge a very huge D-Link with Sora, and became the reason Axel is at Castle Oblivion in Chain of Memories. Terra becomes the new Xehanort, the First character to be revealed in Birth By Sleep (If you played the Final Mix for KHII.), and he sees Xehanort more than anyone else. He's also one of the Biggest Parts of Xehanort's plan. Aqua is the REAL REAL main character as she made Castle Oblivion, she's the reason why Terra-Xehanort loses his memories and becomes Ansem's apprentice, and she's the reason that Kairi meets Sora due to the spell she placed on her, and the reason Kairi's hearts is in Sora, AND the reason kairi can hold a Keyblade (incidently.). And it should be pointed out that Kairi uses one of Aqua's main keyblades. They all play inportant roles but it all boils down between Terra and Aqua. And then it boils down again to Aqua. hate to say it Because Terra is my favorite Keyblade Master.

I'd go with this. All three of the characters are important and the "main characters" of that game in my opinion if you'd like to say there are any. 

I always considered Terra to be the main character. 

I personally think Ven is the main character, but seriously, Aqua is not insignificant or useless! I mean seriously, how many people would throw themselves into the darkness just to save a possessed friend you just fought? And she's just in as bad of a situation as Ven and Terra because she's stuck down there with lots of Heartless and stuff and I'm surprised she isn't dead yet from lack of food and water!
