None of the above, I would most definitely have to say Zack Fair. His exit in crisis core was so damn strong. Gets me every time.

Oh, sorry I forgot about him. I'll try to edit the poll to add him in.

I like Warrior of Light a lot! Him, tied with Zack Fair, Terra, Noel & Serah from FFXIII-2, and Vaan, are my favorite main main characters in the Final Fantasy Series.

Warrior of Light just seems like the guy who deserves to fight and defeat Chaos, no questions asked. His armor also screams "stand alone hero". And his voice sounds so cool in Dissidia! :D

Rock on!

Cecil Harvey.

I liked how after every time when he screwed up and helped Golbez, instead of being depressed and just whining about it he still doesn't give up and continues to oppose Golbez without the need of the other party members to cheer him up.

That, and how he forgave Golbez in the end.

I feel like we've had a lot of threads like those before.

Anywho since there is no voting for multiple choices I voted for Zidane

No love for Ramza from tactics. I would vote for him as he is an honourable, unsung hero.

Squall for me. His character development was so good xD

none above. i will vote for Ramza Beoulve from final fantasy tactics.

he is the one you'd call "unsung heroes" (before arazram discover the truth). he fights battles people don't know about. (only several people knows about lucavi and their awakening, people was distracted by war). fighting solely for truth and justice. he fights aristocracy even his own brother so no more peasant getting used by nobles. he even branded as heretic by the church and being hunted down but he still uphold his belief and continue fighting. my childhood hero!

Cecil Harvey (Or, as I named him for some random reason I don't recall, Danny) from FF 4.

What can I say: I'm a sucker for "Hero corrupted by Darkness comes back to Light" stories, and Cecil's story is 100% one of them. Plus, it was the only time a romance in FF felt natural, and he and Rosa being together in After Years was a great thing to see.

That probably doesn't make sense to anyone else, but whatever. Sue me. xD

I like Cloud and Squall almost equally because they're the cool guy, badass with interesting character developement but if I had to pick one it'd probably be Squall because his gunblade is such a cool weapon and I like the whole lion theme with Squall, its like in Game of Thrones where Starks are wolfs and Lannisters are Lions.

Cecil Harvey. Simply because he's a protagonist of Darkness. Defying a trope without damaging the arc of the character in an otherwise archetypal franchise.

Personally, I love Zack Fair. His character development was incredible and his final farewell is beyond amazing/sad!!! He truly deserves to rest in peace

I'm in the extreme minority here, but Bartz is my favorite.  I just really like happy-go-lucky idiot characters with a kind heart.  After him, it would be Zidane, then Squall, then Cecil, then Warrior of Light, then Celes, and then finally Firion.  I don't really like or care about anyone else on this list.

Noctis definitely (he is from FFXV, not XIV) is my favorite. There is something so mysterious and yet powerful and cool about him. Plus, he would be great for KH3.

Of all the Final Fantasy characters I've played as, my favorite hero out of all of them is most definitely Cecil Harvey!  His story is one filled with hardship, turmoil, contemplation, doubt, anger, and ultimately, redemption!  Cecil Harvey had a strong character development throughout Final Fantasy IV, and he's the type of person that I think everyone would get along with!  He's a person who cares for everyone around him, and he feels mortally bad when he does something against his beliefs and morals, ya know?  Plus, I love the whole light/darkness scenario that went on with him!  I loved using him in Dissidia!  He was one of my main characters that I loved to use!

And well, Cecil had it rough!  Constant confrontation with his childhood rival/friend Kain Highwind, a troubled relationship with his brother Golbez, and a blossoming but conflicted romance with Rosa!  Ahh...have I ever mentioned how much I love Final Fantasy IV? :')
