My thing is I don't want it to happen where people dock points for something that eventually comes out because the initial hype died down after waiting

Vs being a bit more nuanced with it and seeing the final product as it should be viewed

Literally found kh3 on gamepass snd played it

Cuz i was sooo bored out of my mind

I didn’t know it was continuous suffering from that point on

Yeah lol cause thats what Gold is referring too- lotta folks are still sore at KH3 and it was the wait/impatience that hurt it

It wasn't even the games fault in many ways

It was the idea of the game.

i think the one thing inherently helping 4 with that is the fact that it's a new era. 3 had way too many people expecting THEIR ideal ending but for 4 there's not much to expect other than a few key points from the mobile games

it's currently so open ended that it's hard to build up idealistic expectations

not to say it won't still happen, but that it won't be as large scale imo

the long wait time from reveal to release didnt help with it either

Whether you liked the ending or not in KH3, people got an ending with it.

The 15 year build up for most people is over now so it's more or less a fresh start (despite it not really being one)

Which is why I don't think this one will be as hyped up as KH3 was
