Shinji Hashimoto announced as a guest creator for Japan's PS4 launch event

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan have announced that a PlayStation 4 launch event will be held on February 21, 2014, starting at 10:30PM JST. Kingdom Hearts III producer Shinji Hashimoto has been annouced as a guest creator for the event, which will be live streamed on Ustream and Nico Nico. It is currently unknown if Hashimoto will reveal any new Kingdom Hearts III information, but we will keep you updated with more information as it appears.

Update 2: Shinji Hashimoto appeared on stage at the event and asked fans to "Please wait a little longer." concerning Kingdom Hearts III.

Update: Sony have uploaded the videos to be shown at the event to their PlayStation Japan YouTube channel, and unfortunately, the video containing Kingdom Hearts III is old footage from the E3 2013 announcement trailer. This can be seen below.

There is still a chance that Hashimoto could reveal some small new information while on stage, so stay tuned and we will keep you updated-- no guarantee, though!

Why in the heavens Shinji went to this event? Only to say "Wait a little longer"? That's really sad. :|

a little longer of what. We dont know Sh^t

I don't understand why Square goes to these events. They don't say anything. Only this "Wait a little longer" shit.

I've already heard this, and FFXV is not out yet. After 8 years.

Hopefully we will get some kind of news on KH2.5, KH3, and FFXV at this years E3 or at the Tokyo Game Show. I can see KH2.5 being shown at E3 at least. I really hope this year they show off new Play Arts Kai figures and Formation Arts figures, as well as other merchandise. Hopefully finally stuff from Birth By Sleep like characters and wayfinders. Maybe even more Organization 13 character figures.

I'm still waiting for FFXV's release date announcement, that game better be coming near the end of this year or else we'll have to be waiting for KH3 longer than I thought.

A "little" longer...RIGHT...More like 1.5+ years longer...

That's it? Seriously!? Hashimoto shows up to an important event, and not even drop a small detail and say "Please wait longer!?" He shouldn't have went to the event at all.

We know we have to wait, but to show up and say wait and leave? That's stupid and waste of time.

1:28 what game is that?As for the "wait a little longer" comment, I have left my faith at the doorstep. I had complete faith that KHIII would come eventually, but now that they have finally announced it but simultaneously gets cold feet because of the fans' high expectations (no f***ing sh*t), I don't know where to put my faith anymore.

Nomura from the start has said how moving to such an advanced system was going to take them so much longer to animate, and even expressed that it has stressed him out. I really don't think it's ridiculous for them to have nothing to say in regards to it. However, it would have been nice if they could have continued to say "it's coming along nicely, but the animation is taking such a long time. I really hope everyone will enjoy the improved graphics!" or something of the sort.

This. They could at least say something to reward us for waiting since 2006 for this game.

Get the f*** out! Thats seriously all you had to say? "Just wait a little longer", and just leave? Why are you wasting your time and ours like this? You don't have any new information to give us? We have been hearing the same crap for FF XV, but we rarely get any solid information!! So f*** you Hashimoto. F*** you!!

Lol I read at nomura's twitter that he took the script from previous year.

I think Nomura knew he was going to say something interesting.

It's not that bad, "please wait a little longer" = E3 2014 showing.
