Kingdom Hearts III news (probably) coming at E3 2014

Yosuke Matsuda, president and CEO of Square Enix, has talked with Nikkei Trendy today and shared some information about the future of the company. When asked about 2014, Matsuda had this to say about Kingdom Hearts III:

There’s remarkable confidence in Final Fantasy XV and and Kingdom Hearts 3. [I] can’t talk details at the moment, [but I think] SE will be able to share more in the future, like at E3.

Thanks go to DualShockers for the translation, and to @abyssviola for the find.

Considering that this news is one day before April....I won't believe that it isn't an April Fool joke until April ends

sorry but in April I don't trust any news site

Trust me, we don't do any April Fools jokes for news. And this from an actual interview.

Link?

There's links there mate.

The only news I want to hear at this year's E3 is the release date for Final Fantasy XV and a new trailer of Kingdom Hearts III.

It's not April yet, plus if you hear a really great piece of news on say April 16th do you immediately think "nope it's April gotta be foolin me" ? If so that seems silly.

I don't think this is a joke and if it is then how is "I think SE will be able to share more in the future, like at E3" even remotely good as far as jokes go?

If the release date isn't in late 2015 at the latest I just don't know anymore.  Any later than that and I'll probably never even end up playing it until I meet someone that has it lol.

Well there is a possibility that this is an early April Fool but i think Square isn't lying about this.

Kingdom Hearts III won't be released until 2016 at the earliest, it's still early in development.

Nah . Square Enix wouldn't do an April Fool in news like that .

If you ask my opinion, KH3 will be launched between the end of 2015 (earliest) or the end of 2016

Again, if you ask "my" opinion.

And I really hope Square do a trailer for E3, even the smallest one

That's why nobody would recognize it as a joke but as i said i think square isn't lying about this and that means i consider this news as legit  :D

This is a kinda april fools joke. I though for a moment that the news was about Kingdom Hearts 2.5 release date.

Ofcourse there is a high chance for more information at the E3 even a full trailer.

Well the next news must just be 2.5 release date.

Honestly, Its March 31, why would it be an Aprils Fools joke for the day before....and I know there are some of you who are actually living in the future, like Europe and Japan ect. BUT!!!!!!! This is stuff I already knew and I hope they will give a release date, and one of those kickass 8 minute long trailers. I think it might release in 2014-2015, because apparently they have been working on it ever since BBS and with that Survey they just did, why not? And yes, there are some Nomura interviews that say he hasn't totally figured out what worlds he would be adding, so who really knows. Heres to hoping!

Well if Kingdom Hearts 3 news was going to show at E3 I wouldn't expect it to be big news maybe like another little trailer like the ones we have seen so far maybe a little interview from Nomura if he shows up there to talk about how far they are compared to when they announced it last year but I'm going to say probably the only Kingdom Hearts news we will probably get at E3 is probably Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMix news if the game hasn't come out yet and by looking at how much news we have gotten from that game so far this year I'm going to say that is going to be highly unlikely but still would be interesting to see what kind of Kingdom Hearts 3 news we will get probably at E3 this year if there is going to be any.

Despite the timing see no reason to think this is an April Fools prank  because he made no commitment. If he said "SE will share more at E3", then I'd be skeptical, but he said "I think SE will be able to share more in the future like at E3"

If he were trying to prank us, why the note of caution?

Any news at E3 will be good news. I really don't care about a release date confirmation since I understand that the game is at least one year away.
