Yasue talks HD 2.5 ReMIX additions, teasers, trophies & Kingdom Hearts III progress

Game Informer have conducted an interview with the co-director of the Kingdom Hearts series, Tai Yasue, to discuss Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts III.

Here, Yasue reveals many details about the development of HD 2.5 ReMIX, teases some of the game's additions and new cutscenes, explains the team's thoughts on a possible Dream Drop Distance HD release, mentions some trophies to be included in the collection, and explains the current progress on Kingdom Hearts III. The interview is definitely worth a read, so check it out at the link below.

Oh, I read the interview, and I was very satisfied with Yasue's answers!  And to top it off, the writer who conducted the interview is none other than my favorite editor of Game Informer Magazine, Kimberly Wallace! She always makes interesting articles, so seeing her tackle 2.5 and KH3 was definitely awesome!  Did I mention that I frickin admire Yasue?  He's being so generous and keeping us, the fans, entertained with his wonderful interviews. :')

Have you thought of doing anything with Dream Drop Distance, like as a standalone digital HD release, or doing something for people to experience it who maybe don't own a 3DS?We're definitely going to consider [Dream Drop Distance], but we just made it, right? Two years ago. So I don't know. One of the things that we're going to take into consideration is that a lot of the titles are now old and people are starting to forget about them. So we put out 1.5 and 2.5 before III, but [Dream Drop Distance] was actually really recent, so we didn't incorporate that into 2.5. We will consider how we're going to do Dream Drop Distance, but there are a lot of things to think about. We don't want to stop [progress on] Kingdom Hearts III. That has to move along quickly.

I'm sorry but how Square is going about 2.5 & 3 is really starting to piss me off. Now I can't play KH with my friends just because you want to rush KH3 out the door. Yes KH3 is very highly anticipated, but that doesn't mean ever single 2.5 interview has to do with KH3. Not everyone has a PS4/XB1 Square. Also you claim to listen to player feedback. From what I saw here in America, we REALLY wanted Multiplayer. Oh but you never heard that from your JAPANESE fans. Well no shit Sherlock, if the Japanese community wanted Multiplayer wouldn't you think the Xbox (which btw is a heavily multiplayer based console) wouldn't sell like crap. It's sad to know all the feedback I gave for this and 1.5 was shunned because I'm not Japanese.

It's not so much that you aren't Japanese. It's that your comment wasn't in Japanese. On the Japanese survey. Let's face it, the only one of the big guys who can read(That we know of) English is Yasue. Even then, I find it unlikely he read every single comment people made. Everyone else isn't going to sift though hundreds of translations, it would be a waste of time. They probably just went with the average/most popular opinion.

America isn't the only ones who sent english comments either. England and Australia would have too. And there are the troll comments...

PS3 last gen entitled owner much? PS3 is nearing it's last leg of life. Square is only releasing the HD collections on there because they had planned way before Sony started sending out sdks for PS4.

All signs point to a DDD HD release. All signs point to PS4/Vita re-release. Maybe an Xbox/PC as well. And no PS Now is NOT a good alternative for many reasons. (That and the Utada songs restrict it from being a PSN title anyway.

Ok, even if DDD were to get an HD release, what would they do for Reality Shift? The Dream Eater leveling mini-games? And Flick Rush? PS4 wouldn't be able to function them and they can't just scrap the features, which most of are important. If anything, it'd best be released on the Wii U, otherwise, it's pretty much a useless action.

Dualshock 4 has a touchpad. Vita has a multitouch touchscreen. They can think of way to implement it. It's not hard

It  blows that KH3D HD isn't happening anytime soon, sigh.As for not adding the capes, multiplayer, or Re: Coded as a full game, while very upsetting...I'd rather they focus on making KH3 the most awesome KH game ever.
