Kingdom Hearts III trailer analysis: Could the calendar in the background be hinting to a future date?

As we are all certainly aware, Square Enix shared new Kingdom Hearts III footage at their E3 2015 press conference yesterday. As the trailer floated around the internet and more fans watched it closely, multiple theories have come about concerning subtle hints that Tetsuya Nomura placed in the trailer. We're going to be exploring a few of these popular theories here.

 

First, one possible hint is the calendar seen near the end of the trailer:

The calendar in the background seems to depict a month where the first three days are a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and the month has 31 days total, also ending on a Saturday. After doing some very quick checking, it seems that there are a few months in the coming years with these same criteria:

As you can see, the next two months that match with this calendar are October 2015 and December 2016! What do you all think? Could this represent anything, or should we take this with a grain of salt? Let us know in the comments!

Stop being so pessimistic about KH3 not being at E3 tomorrow even if we don't get KH3 we still have the possibilities of Dream Drop Distance HD or a complete HD collection for the PS4 and Xbox One and even KH Unchained X. So there is still something for anything KH related to hope for.

    I'm not being pessimistic, I'm just keeping my expectations down.

     

    Since Square has a habit of letting us down. And really, it's just unlikely.

    Still you should at least have a little hope for anything KH because you might be surprised.

    I'd prefer to be surprised out of my low expectations than for my Hype to be killed.

     

    So I shall remain with low expectations if that is okay. :)

    this isnt the same square enix from a few years ago. they have changed. they realize what the fans want/what will make the most money and they are going with it. Did you really expect an FF7 remake to be announced? no one was expecting it at all. The same will be done with KH3 tomorrow

    lmao at the naysayers. Will there be a super gorgeous long trailer? Of course not! But they will AT LEAST give us a half-baked audio teaser like last year, in attempt to keep people interested.

    They still troll. They still don't know how to market. They're good at Hype but bad at delivering. They're the same.

     

    And the main thing that bothers me is that you say "Will happen". Are you psychic ? >.>

     

    There is a possibility, one of which I believe to be small in my personal opinion, that it could appear. It is not confirmed outright.

    Sure it's OK I mean your expectations are your expectations I can't deny you of them and in a way your preparing yourself from not getting disappointed. And either way we are getting some kind of information about KH3 at D23 right, so it's a win win either way if you have high hopes for it or if you have low expectations.

    I don't think it's best to state it as fact, I mean I can appreciate where you and Superior come from, but we still don't know anything yet :rolleyes:

    Guys this trailer is bad...am I the only one that sees the huge americanization of Sora? This looks less like KH and more like...some kidish disney interactive game. Everything looks like it's made out of playdoe!!

     

    Guys im scared...I feel like KH3 is going to be a huge step down and im scared to death...

    More childish...

    More disneyish...

    Less square...

    Less jrpg...

    Based on the Eraqus and Xehanort scenes I can tell this will be darker than the others. So what if you can summon teacups and what not? Pretty sure those are optional, you know, like summoning Sitch or Chicken Little? Did the entirety of KH2 become childish because of those two? Nope. 

     

    They just want to emphasize on the new features, that's all. Heck I'm pretty sure I'll rarely use them myself considering I never used summons in KH1 and KH2.

    Well, this still isn't the finished version. It could look better than it is. In my opinion, the attraction flow is amazing.

    It's looking like Birth by Sleep. The story will heavily feature Eraquas and Xehanort, and the worlds... look.... empty.....

    To those who say that this trailer makes KH3 look childish-just remember what our dear troller in chief said-that they chose something "flashy" and eye catching to show off to the public and that this trailer doesn't show the "true nature of Kingdom Hearts 3" I take all that to mean that KH3 might even be a little darker than the creative team is letting on. Only time will tell for certain.
