Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue officially announced for PS4, releasing in 2016

I can't wait, though this likely means KH III in 2017.

or 2.9 in 2017 lol nah the reason they changed it to 2.8 is because incase something unexpected happens in development they can bring a title out in 2017 named 2.9.

I REALLY NEED TO GET A PS4 NOW!!!

 

And to think, there could still be a 2.9 on the way, and maybe it's just a KH3 demo...My body is way beyond ready!!! O3O

where 2.8 will be around early 2016

I literally just woke up and all my social feeds were blown up with KH. It's a good feeling. 

This is cool and all. But are a remastered 3ds game, a fred mobile game, and what I doubt is a lot more new content worth 60 bucks? I think most of .02 we got in BBS final mix and I mean how much more in depth can they go? She's still trapped in the world of darkness and she lacks her own keyblade.this also kinda confirms kh3 2017. Also. I think I'd prefer 1.5 and 2.5 to 2.8

Well it all depends, Ground Zeros did a similar thing where they gave you a taste of MGSV and that alone was 40 bucks. So getting 2 games plus a taste at what KH3 has to offer isnt the worst kind of deal in comparison.

FF7 remake won't release until 2018. Like ive said numerous times before, Square Enix would NEVER release two of their biggest franchise titles within the same year; it doesn't make sense business wise

Its practically the same thing. both bbs .2 and KH3 are using Unreal 4 as the base engine and the kingdom shader for the graphics

I told myself beforehand that I wouldn't be excited but as soon as the trailer started I SCREAMED SO HARD. I just LOVE 3D so much, it's ones of my favourite KH games and I can play it again in glorious HD. Honestly, the 3DS didn't do it justice.

 

I was really surprised by BBS 0.8 though, I thought it would never happen. Not to mention it's using the kingdom shader so we'll get a sample of it before KH3.

Nah, you're not. And I'm pretty sure it's only because of the BbS 0.2 that this game won't be on the PS3. Darn.

I was so hoping to have it on my good ol' PS3. Well, I was planning on buying a PS4 at some point (too many SE games on it not to). I guess I'll just have to wait 'til I play it. 

OMG I knew it!!! I always expected a collection of these three titles even before the rumors of 2.9!But I am disappointed about how the collection is complicated since one of them will be after Coded, the other one before Birth by Sleep and the third after Birth by Sleep. Besides, even the titles themselves are complicated "II.8 Final Chapter Prologue" "X Back Cover" "Birth by Sleep 0.2 A Fragment Passage" The titles are so complicated especially for the new fans. 

 

I am also disappointed that Fragment passage won't be as planned for Volume Two, since Volume Two meant to cover all the stories that were never mentioned like Kairi's appearance in Twilight Town, King Mickey finding his Kingdom Key D, Riku's perspective in 358/2 Days, while Fragment Passage is gonna focus on Master Aqua only -_-

 

But in the other hand I am so excited either ways!

As someone who doesn't own a 3ds it's totally worth it for meAlso while I do want 1.5 and 2.5 on ps4, I'd happily take something new over something I've already played no matter how short it could be

Yeah I guess, but the way they said "episodes" makes me a bit afraid that it would end up being a small episode like the Secret Episode of BBS FM. However, since nothing was revealed yet, I guess I would keep my hopes up as you said

My guess is Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 is Square Enix's secret title that they will show on Saturday, so we'll probably have more information by the end of the show.

KH chi Back Cover sounded like a dumb name at first, but realizing the whole 'back cover of the book contains a summary' thing makes it kind of amazing lol. that part of the trailer was surprisingly the most dark and suspenseful of it all

So glad my KH3D HD + KH3 prologue/demo chapter idea came true! Birth by Sleep Volume 2 is finally a thing, we made it fam. Aqua looks gorgeous. o.O can't wait to see other characters in that beautiful style and get a taste of the full game.

It's possible that they'll be releasing them on PS4 after Kingdom Hearts 3. You never know what Square might do. I mean, I'm sure a lot of us weren't expecting the BBS 0.2 to be a thing.

Even though I'm glad that DDD will now have a PS4 version, I now have a few questions.

• Probably not since we didn't get any new Keyblades or bosses for the other HD remakes, so I personally don't think that DDD will be any different.

• I heard that if it has a song of Utada Hikaru, then there can't be a digital version, or something along those lines. I'm not sure on that.
