Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ may release in Japan next week

The official press release Twitter account for Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, run by series director Tetsuya Nomura, has revealed that the game may release next week in Japan. Thanks goes to misomilk from Tumblr for the translation!

And so, a message from the KHUχ team. Today, we safely passed our Platformer tests. If things keep going favorably, we might be able to release the app next week! For those who haven't pre-reg'd (pre-registered), please do so soon so you can get your hands on some wallpapers!

There you have it! Assuming the final tests go well, those in Japan may be playing Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ next week. An actual date has not been set, but we will be sure to report when an actual release date is announced. What do you suppose this news means for the eventual North American release? Let us know in the comments!

To be honest, I kept thinking it was going to be launched next week, for them.

I guess if the testing goes well and they may get it next week, perhaps we might be getting it soon? Or just hear something about the US Version (it's progress etc...).

Hopefully this means that localization will go by just as quickly and easily for the English version and that we can play it as early as August or as late as December. <3

Considering no voices? are in the game and the game is undoubtedly smaller than a usual KH, hopefully localisation will be much quicker. I would hope it would it would be a simultaneous worldwide launch, but maybe not seeing this info hasnt been passed in an english form officially.

I wonder if the Japanese version could have the english subtitles?

I think we'll be getting Uχ by the end of this year. That may seem unlikely, or downright impossible, but remeber, they where already testing NA servers when the game was announced.

This whole japan first is bs for such a small game. I'm downloading it through 3rd party means when japan gets it. Stop the passive agressive stuff square, ww2 was forever ago!

I really hope this means higher chances of KHUx coming to the US in early 2016. I'd like to be optimistic and say 2015 but that seems unlikely, but it would be great if it happened. Great news either way!

Well, this is great!  Now the question is...when will Unchained X release for the rest of the world???  Because I want to get in on the action of the Foretellers already, and the fact that this game still hasn't come out for us has made me desperate!  I hope the game comes out soon! X_X

i really cant wait for this game to come out for us, I don't know why everyone is acting like they never work on the English version and that it wont be out until 2016, I cant wait to finally understand whats going on in the game, although the lack of information on the English version bothers me

I want a NA release date too. They don't seem to be settling on these dates much in advance, much like another SE property, Life is Strange.
