I've spent so much time living in this delusion that I was something special. Believing that I was super intelligent and super talented, but those are just things people told me to be nice or encouraging. I'm glad I've observed myself and learnt that I'm not as special and talented as I thought I was, because now I can replace overconfidence with determination. Now I can convince myself I really do need to work like hell to become great at something.

@The Ninjas, that's what I've decided i need to do. I was never fond of being arrogant, but i think, to an extent, I thought I was just somehow capable of excelling at several things without trying very hard. Now I've decided that if I want to accomplish something in my future I'll have to stop relying on talent and rely solely on hard work

I kinda feel guilty after seeing a friend in tears when he failed his exams. He might not be able to afford retakes and here I am being some privileged kid who always has it too easy. I can easily pay for another shot at my exams, but i don't think i deserve that anymore
