when someone says Days and Re:Coded are important to the story

announced for a late 2018 release. delayed into mid 2019. that's my guess. i'm just trying to give them enough time to iron out any kind of problems that may exist in the final game. specifically things with the lighting and character models.

hopefully none. i don't think i'd be ok with DLC for what's essentially just an HD collection with some bonus content. like, i get that they probably added in the customization items specifically to have some form of DLC to give the games but i don't think 2.8 should get DLC. seems like 0.2 is such a small package anyways. i'm sure KH3 will get some DLC. hopefully just cosmetic items.

oh yea i'll definitely agree there. first trailer was very "OK" but i watched this one and it really didn't feel low budget anymore lol

i'm only planning on seeing spider man and the new guardians movie because i feel like those are movie properties that i can reasonably expect to enjoy. really enjoyed the first guardians movie and spider man is spider man so there it is. other than that i'll probably avoid the other choices. it's become an issue where i get hyped for a new Marvel movie, i go to see it against my better judgement, and then i leave thinking, "Well that was OK."

they ought to take this to the next level and stream the entire saga to hype up KH3's release

i'll be honest when i saw the first official trailer in theaters i really thought it was some low budget cash in for some pre-teen demographic and then the Power Rangers logo popped up at the end i had to do a double take lol

it means nomura didn't think things out when he decided to throw in time travel into his story 7 games in. i'm guessing from his perspective it was the only way to get all the Xehanorts together but because time travel is such a tricky plot device to implement, he had to write it in a way that people couldn't just say "Well gee why didn't Sora just time travel back and stop this all from ever happening?" Nomura had to make the rules so rigid that time travel would only really work in this one situation. i can't imagine they're going to bring back time travel is a large way in KH3 what with how it's written now. he should have tied in time travel with the Realm of Darkness. we know time flows differently there so he should have made the RoD exist outside of time. have time flow forwards and backwards in there. Xehanort learns to use this to his advantage due to how close he is with the darkness and that's how he travels across time to find his past selves. this way we have a reason for why the heroes can't time travel (their light is too strong) and we don't need to learn rocket science to understand the plot.

Gex, comes to mind. and i'm sure the Sonic cast has got at least one reptile. seems like they're trying to hit every breed of animal at least once.

i hope not. the worlds make up a large portion of the game and (sometimes) are related to the story in one way or another. adding on extra worlds after release would make the base game feel like an incomplete product. it's one thing to have DLC cosmetics, but having entire worlds as post-launch DLC is a bit too far. also it just occurred to me that maybe the reason they're implementing cosmetic customization items is to have something to make DLC for later on down the road. and if that's the case, i'll allow it so long as we get a KH2 outfit at some point. and not some half assed call back accessory like just the shoes or a similar color scheme. all or nothing, Square.

i've played all of them and i think this is the only game series that i've followed so closely for so long, which is crazy to me. not crazy in a bad way, it's just crazy how this one franchise has been relevant to me for so many years and i'm still keeping up with it.

i'm going with Kingdom Hearts Final Mix because at least that way people will be able to give the series a go without having to worry about being bogged down with all the plot. KHFM is a nice simple game that anyone can enjoy. if they're going to throw any KH game on to a new console it might as well be one that's easily digestible to people. it's a fun game to return to for old fans and an easy game to get into for new fans.

honestly i would have said something that isn't at least 5-10 years old but that little guideline has been broken by even the first KH game. Tarzan was released in 1999, and Kingdom Hearts came out in 2002. that was a pretty relatively new movie but it was in KH anyways. so at this point really nothing is "too new" i guess. as long as it's from the Disney Animated Classics lineup i'll give it a fair chance no question. although i will say i hope they base the world choices on what they can relate to the main plot of the game, and not just which movie is them most recent/still popular with kids today. i'd love for the Disney worlds to actually have some kind of relation to the plot, be it the themes the original movie contains or just significant plot events taking place in those worlds.

when i was watching the trailer i was really thinking they were going to call it Super Mario Universe just because they've gone from Land, to World, to Galaxy. even if it wouldn't have been the proper use of the word "Universe," just for the sake of continuing the natural progression lol Odyssey works fine though.

well they announced a little something called Legend of Zelda for Switch launch so....there's that lol but i agree. for right now the Switch seems like a great console to get later. right now i already know i'd buy the new Zelda and the new Mario but everything else so far hasn't caught my interest enough to justify dropping $360 bucks on a new system and game. definitely going to take the wait and see approach.

yea the new Mario game looked really good and i'm not a huge fan of LoZ but damn that Breath of the Wild trailer blew me away. if i ever got a switch it'd be the first game i buy, for sure. here's hoping Nintendo can build up a strong enough library for this system to stay afloat.

i'd prefer it to not be a thing, and that any similarities between the foretellers and the current characters are just coincidence or callbacks/forwards to those original designs. i didn't bother to look too far into the theory but has the series ever once entertained the idea that reincarnation is possible in this universe? cause if not then i'm thinking it probably wouldn't happen. i mean, sure time travel in DDD pretty much came out of nowhere because i don't think anyone saw Timeless River in KH2 and expected time travel to be incorporated into the main villains plans but still...

yea it's not the best way for Nomura to go about things but tbh i'm just not as invested in the series as i used to be. my hype for the series comes and goes with the flow of news. i don't get hung up on the lack of news because i assume they've got nothing of substance to show so in the meantime i play other games. i'd be surprised if there were people who were waiting and hoping for 10 years that FFvXIII/FFXV would come out at some point during that decade. i mean when do you draw the line, right? at the end of the day you've got to take a step back and realize that the release of a video game will not be the peak moment of your life. and again it's not like there aren't other video games to play in the meantime.

well i only say it was crazy because of the information and trailers we had gotten since the games official reveal in 2013. the trailers we got were very bare bones and usually showed off the same areas and same bits of story. if the game was ready to launch in 2017 i would have figured we'd be getting something of more substance for promotional material by then. plus, there's the issues with the game engine and them switching over to Unreal 4 which was sure to slow things down. personally i want them to take all the time they need to make sure this game comes out finished and not like FFXV, which to some, feels like it's missing some content.

pretty sure it starts right after the secret episode in BBS: FM and it has to end sometime before KH2 at least, because this is a flashback that we're being told by Mickey. he was definitely out of the Realm of Darkness by KH2.

just tell them you're taking your time or something. i mean there's no rush to get into a relationship. solitude can be pretty nice too.

they'll shoot for 2018 but it'll get pushed back to 2019 i'm sure. 2017 was just some crazy wishful thinking.

idk if this counts as a canceled game but i would have liked to have gotten a RE game based on the original idea for RE4, involving Leon going to Europe to investigate an Umbrella facility and a new virus that made it's victims hallucinate. i think the game was going to go down a more paranormal route and it would have been cool to see that play out. don't get me wrong, the RE4 we got instead is some top notch near gaming perfection, but i wouldn't have minded seeing the original idea implemented in another game.

more like Failbound, amiright i guess it's not too surprising though. wasn't the reaction to it at this past E3 sort of "meh?" and then we never heard anything from it since. guess the game just wasn't panning out into what they were going for.
