Recommend me some Podcasts that's available on Soundclud
Hello internet With cgp gray and Brady from Numberphile is really cool. They're both you tubers I like and their podcast (as they describe it) is the 'two guys having a chat'genre. They have different topics they talk about and every episode and it's really interesting to listen to what they have to say. From movies, to life, to the fate of the universe and everything inbetween.

Why do people hate Chain of Memories?
I think its mostly the combat system- which I remember liking when I was a kid. Although, the original CoM was my first KH game so I hadn't got to exp the wonders and freedom of the other games game play. Which is probably why when I revisit CoM now after having played all the other games, im not as big a fan as I used to be. I can imagine what fans of the original game thought when they first got this as a sequel to KH. It mustve been a pretty big shock and annoyance.

Which Kingdom Hearts game made you cry the most?
Kind of a mixture here. Axels death in KH2 actually made me openly cry as it was happening, but that was the only moment. Days on the other hand made me sadder and tear up a lot more. I almost cried when Xion died, but not all the way. I just teared up, and had to stop the game for a bit cause it made me so sad. Then I was angry for how things turned out and took out all my aggression on that final boss fight with riku. Xions death was a lot more emotional for me even if I didn't openly weep.

Birth by Sleep's Character interaction
THIS!! SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT! Don't get me wrong I liked BBS, it was fun, it had its moments, game play was fun but the characters always just got in the way. One of the reasons I liked Days so much was because of the main characters. Despite lack luster game play and graphics, I eagerly worked through them to get to those story bits. I wanted, needed to know what would happen, would everything g be ok, would Axel and roxas stop fighting, would xion come back, would they ever get to the beach. I had to know, because I cared. BBS was kind the opposite. I liked the game play and graphics more and the moments when we went back to the story I just sort of tolerated. I was invested in the story, sure, but more so for the lore and the it being another puzzle piece to the series. I was more excited when we got to see Sora, Riku, Kairi, Lea and Isa even the Organization XIII members than when I found out major plot point of the main characters story. If this is the case in any game where the main draw is the STORY then something has gone terribly terribly wrong. If we break it down a little further, BBS and Days have one of the same overarching themes: Dying friendships. Days does it alot better but essentially the two stories are about a group of friends falling apart and desperately trying to keep it together. In Days, your heart just tears when you see things like Xion raising her Keyblade to Roxas after they've been looking for her. You feel so helpless when and sad and confused when Xion starts to drift away. You feel such joy in those first moments of their friendship that when things fall apart you hurt as much as the characters do. But that's only because those characters had a solid foundation from which to launch this dying friendships story. BBS just... doesnt. There's a lot of telling not showing. Eraqu TELLS Terra he is like a son to himake, that Terra is obsessed with power. Aqua TELLS us how great friends they all are, that nothing can drive them apart. And so on and so on. There are genuine moments, like Aqua wish to the stars that they be together always, Eraqus death was a heart jerker, Aqua diving into the realm of darkness Terranort from the realm of darkness at the end those were good. And you can see where the writers were trying to establish this friendship, they just did it very poorly. It is the job of the story writer to convince us that the characters have a relationship, not come out and say it and shove it in our face. Subtly, treating your audience like they can think and see for themselves the relationship is so much more powerful. That scene when Xion disappears in Roxas arms, and she leaves behind a shell. Roxas says nothing, he looks like he is in disbelief watching her disappear into the sky. He looks at the shell, and when he touches it, a memory of Xion happy and smiling at their usual spot flashes through his mind. It's not said, but you know that that was all Roxas wanted, was to see a smile on her face again, to have her and Axel be happy and together in their usual spot. He thinks of what was and what can now never be again. He sobs, and tear roll down his face. He says her name, maybe to convince himself that she was real that he still remembers her. And the screen fades to black. Compare that to Aqua saving Terranort when he falls into the RoD. He stabs himself, you see panic in Aqua eyes as she watches him fall into unconsciousNess and sink into a dark hole. She runs, she jumps, she dives. That's a good moment but what's next is just ok. She tells us how if she doesn't make it back before the portal closes they will both be lost. (something we can already guess from what we know. She is stating the obvious.) She takes off her armour, send Terra flying and sinks into the darkness giving her apology to Ven. It may be the voice actor but it doesn't sound right to me. The way she says it is to cheerful . This is a SAD, SAD moment. She should sound sad. Maybe get choked up or something. Maybe zoom out, so and have her say that line as she watches the portal close as she sinks. Or zoom in and see her face be sad as she looks down at her defeat, of her being trapped now. She's not convincing. Was it meant to be ironic? A laugh so you don't cry sort of thing. This moment was to be our Xion death moment. The defeat, the failure of our main characters goal. And it failed spectacularly at conveying that in my book. You can't just throw in sad scenes and expect them to resonate if you don't make us care that this sad thing has happened!

Symbol on the Master of Masters coat
So I was watching an analysis of the recent 2.8 trailer and at the very end-for dramatic effect- the youtuber zoomed in on the Master of Masters (MoM). And I noticed something about the zipper on his coat. I paused it, looked closers and saw that it wasn't just some plain zipper but it was in a similar shape to the Keyblade master symbol! It wasn't one to one, but it looks very similar almost like a precursor. I checked the zipper on the Organizations coat, and each of them has a normal plain zipper (also a nobody symbol on the two beads near the hood) So this was obviously an intentional change. I can't help but think about what this could mean for what the MoMs role will be in the overall story. It's such a tiny detail, I can't imagine it not meaning something. Especially since every other black coat has the same plain zipper. Interesting...

Let's talk about Xion
You bring up some good point about what purpose she will serve coming back but I still love the character. I think she is relatable and very human. She gets upset and makes mistakes, she is sentimental, even depressed and emotional some times. I think she has very human reactions to things like if a real person were in her place. And I can name at least 5 top moments other than her death. 1) How she visited Roxas and talked to him while he was in a coma 2) Her reaction to Roxas and Axel talking about how they are best friends after she fainted on their mission and was brought back to her room. As someone who has always struggled to make friends, I really relate with her deep love for these two who just validated their friendship and her want to protect them- her FIRST and BEST friends. 3)When she gets her keyblade back after loosing it. It always makes me smile when I see those two get so happy that they managed to get her keyblade back. The joy on those little sprites faces...made me wish I had friends like that (again very relatable) 4) When she runs away after finding out she is a puppet. While not very admirable or brave I think its a very human response. You just found out everything you know to be, who and what you are is a LIE! What a shock would that be! I understand why she ran why she wanted to be alone. Sometimes, thing happen where you just need to be left alone and you feel like you cant face your friends after something really big has happened. She got depressed about it, and ran away from her friends- making the time she spent with them before all the more sweet to a viewer. We are screaming at her in our minds, "GO BACK TO YOUR FRIENDS! TALK TO THEM!" But she cant. SHe cant look them in the eye now, too much has changed. And when she does go back, and is around her friends again, you can see her get better. She comes to terms with it. But still, though you can feel the shift in their relationship. There is this air of secrets and holding back. Their friendship isn't the same. This is a lot like real life. When something big happens in a group of friends, sometimes the group just falls apart or someone jus falls out because they cant face those faces from a past that seems almost like from another life time. 5) Her asking Namine to take care of Roxas when she is gone. Again showing her love for her friends. 6) When she talks to Axel about Roxas getting weaker. (Though I like this scene more in the manga) 7) Her panic when she realizes the truth about her and Roxas- how he could disappear. (Very human) 8) Her difficulty coming to a decision about what to do when she learns about Sora and Roxas possibly dying if she stays around him. 9) When she tries to get Roxas to forgive Axel for attacking her. 10) When they all get a day off and she teases Axel for sleeping all day. In the end, Days is really about these 3 friends and their struggles and relationship. And I loved it. I loved Xion struggles, her love for her friends, her human questioning, the fact that she has really realistic emotions and even seems to get depressed! I teared up a little the first time I saw her die. I had grown to love her and her relationship with Axel and Roxas. Their little conversations, their struggles to maintain a friendship at all in really trying circumstances. And yes, her willingness to sacrifice her self in the end for a friend. I felt so sad that she was gone. But really, their game and plot really was about a friendship. Sora, the keyblade, all of that sorta seemed almost secondary in Days. The games main plot was their friendship and how it developed and waxed and waned. Where as for the rest of the games, friendship is more of a theme and not the central plot. So her coming back is a bit hard for what she could add to the rest of the mix. Her game was smaller and about different things. So I can see where people are worried. But I am still excited to see what they do with her as a character. I just wish she had had more time for her character to develop, but we will just have to see. Maybe we will get that, maybe we wont. I think it would be super sad for her to stay dead, but more in a Cloud/ Zack way. Sad, but still there and still felt.

The Kingdom Hearts Manga IS SERIOUS!
The one that got to me is demyxs death in the manga. It's so simple yet so heart wrenching. He's about to fade away, looks up at Sora weakly and says, "I don't wanna fade...Roxas..." and he dies. It really effects Sora too, he looks guilt ridden and sad. Like he's an actual human being, doubting what he's done and what his mission is. And if the Organizations wants for a heart are really that bad.

Throwback Thursdays: we want to her from you!
Old pieces of kh news on the day they were released. Like when we got a new trailer or found out which worlds we were getting for a game. Its cool to look back at all this old news and remember where we've been, and what we were once so excited for

"They'll slowly awaken the real you" - If the Absent Silhouettes had a story purpose in KH2.
I always thought that the absent silhouettes were the Org trying to awaken roxas inside sora. Like defeating the organization members would jar him or effect him sleeping inside sora. Defeating his old comrades and letting out some of the rage would help wake him up- which is what Demyxs mission essentially was in confronting sora. And the cavern of rememberance was going off the same idea.

Would you like to see playable remakes of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and/or Kingdom Hearts Re:coded for consoles?
It's been 7 years since it came out on the DS- it's time for a remake. That way all the games are on consoles. I would also love if they could add a bit more to days aswell. They had originally intended for there to be more content on it, I would love to find out more about what else the organization was up to at this time and also more about Xemnas. And I just love watching all the members work off each other

How story development can be rough when creating new characters
You're right, coming up with original characters is hard. Who are they? What are their goals? How are they important to the story? Something I was told to ask about every character in every story I write is, 'If you took this character out, would any thing change in your story?' If the answer is no, then you have to consider removing them from the story. Every interaction a main character has with another character has to either characterize the main character, move the plot forward, or inform us of something in the world. You can't just focus on a character with no purpose. And that's kinda where this splits. Writing just characters is fairly easy, writing them into a story is the hard part.

Who are your favorite KH pairing?
I love xion and roxas but I'm also a big fan of riku and xion! I'm so conflicted!

Have you ever been ashamed to tell people that you are a Kingdom Hearts fan?
I've never been ashamed of liking kh. It's something I enjoy and why should I be ashamed of that. When ever I'm confronted by people who try to make me feel bad I just remind them that they aren't the ones playing it or buying the game so it shouldn't matter to them. And that I may not like their favorite game, but they don't see me bashing it or their love for it. And that I deserve the same curtiousy. If you love something, don't hide it, and don't worry if other people don't like it. Find others who share your passion for it and enjoy it with them. Don't get caught up with the people who don't matter.

Have you ever wondered what an Elixir from Kingdom Hearts tastes like?
If you believe the manga they taste aweful. Sora even calls them gross! But it's medicine, it's not supposed to taste good

An 'On this Day in Kh history' section on KH13
Yes but I was talking about it being expanded to include other old news. Like, reminding us when a new trailer had come out for bbs and maybe a link so we can watch it. Or when an article came out telling us about a new development for kh2, or when we found out a snippet of the plot for Days or when we found out about what world's would be in 3ds. All the news is on this site, it just buried under all the new news. Wouldn't it be cool to be reminded on the anniversary when that news came out and we can all bask in the old history that led us here? That's what I'm suggesting.

An 'On this Day in Kh history' section on KH13
I'm not on Twitter so I'm not to familiar with what they do. I do pay attention to the featured content which always has a link to the twitter page and the only news I've ever seen on that has been the release dates and birthdays of cast and crew. I'm talkING more, 'On this day, A mulan world was confirmed for kh2' or something. And have it on the fb page or the featured section. Although like I said, I'm not on Twitter so if they do do that oops my bad. And I will definitely check that out. Precisely! And I would be so tickled and honored if they did that

An 'On this Day in Kh history' section on KH13
So I flipped to the very end of the news feed on accident the other day and I found myself lost in all the old kh news. News that at one point blew my mind or excited me to read in anticipation. I read news about things I had forgot I'd forgot and then I thought, 'wouldn't it be cool if KH13 did a 'on this day in Kh history' type thing on either the Facebook page or the featured section or something! So I though hey why not ask and see if it could become a thing. The kh series has been arround long enough that there's plenty of news and it would be cool to get a throwback to the news that ultimately led us to where we are now. So what do you guys think?
