  1. I've been wondering this as well! You can look at a friend's medal on their player card and see that the strength value is different (less) than the value when you actually borrow it. I wonder why. :|?
  2. I've been keeping him at 5-stars so I could evolve other strength medals to 6 instead (curse that Keyblade cost limit) so I couldn't say. I would imagine the boost depends only on the number of ability dots, though.
  3. My guard armor currently boasts 800k+ health and 5 health bars on each limb, so yeah, I know where you're coming from. As said above, they go up a level every time you beat them, and will reset at the start of the month. As for damage, I find the best method against the normal bosses is to just take whatever Keyblade specializes against the boss's element (Treasure Trove against the Guard Armor, Lady Luck against the Trick Master, etc) and load it up only with medals of that element. If you have strength boosters like DiZ and Aerith, put those first and use them, they make a huge difference. If your Keyblade runs out of AP, switch to a neutral Keyblade on your next turn (Olympia, Starlight) that's also been loaded up with the necessary medals. Don't waste time refilling your Keyblade if you can help it. Once the limbs start having a lot of health bars, concentrate on taking out one limb at a time because once it "dies" it gives you several AP points back. Don't bother taking healer medals (unless they happen to rank among your strongest) because they're useless here. Guilted medals help a ton, especially on those like Young Hercules whose damage increases per turn. If you're in a party and you want those item rewards for beating the boss completely, it's a good idea to let your friends beat its health down a bit before you join back in (although you do risk losing the MVP bonus if you wait too long).
  4. welcome to my state, bro
  5. Agreed, but most fans missed it and continue to call it a goat. so THANK YOU FOR THIS POST, it's about time I saw someone clear that up, orz.
  6. Very nice! Sephiroth, KH2!Cloud, AND two other reverse medals. excellent draw
  7. the "spin-offs" are more important than the numbered console titles THANK YOU
  8. Haha no, it's okay! I'm only caught up with the NA version, so someone had to clarify for me too.
  9. I think Unicornis was referring their copies of the Book of Prophecies (he says that the "current event is nowhere to be found," which might refer to the missing page that he brings up). But considering Vulpes sounded like Hayden and Leopardos could pass for Jesse with a different voice, it's probably not a stretch to say Unicornis and Ursus are David and Jason, respectively, just using much deeper tones; that rebirth theory is definitely looking more likely either way.
  10. Agreed! It's not as much of a giveaway as the JP trailers have been.
  11. Forever laughing at how Ursus and Unicornis absolutely tower over everyone else
  12. so did anyone else notice this or Aqua has a very particular stance when she stands, so that jumped out at me right away. Her sitting position too, tho. And the fact that Anguis' VA sounds like Willa Holland with a higher pitch...
  13. Hmm, well, we don't know the amount of time between KHX and the present games, but it seems like it should be a long time (several hundred if not 1000+ years), which would make Hoodie way too old to be Xehanort's master (presumably). That aside, Eraqus turned out very light-oriented, but Hoodie is clearly of the "ew too much light" opinion; and it's questionable why Eraqus would have been named the next Master of the Land of Departure when Xehanort should have been Hoodie's favorite for being more "sensible" in being interested in darkness. Also, the Land of Departure is kept in a careful balance, but Hoodie seems intent on darkness winning out; it seems strange for him to be one of the Masters in charge of preserving that balance. And consider Eraqus' remark in BBS: "the precepts bar us from such knowledge." That sounds like someone (I would think someones, over time, again suggesting a large time gap since the war) decided to make rules that said the X-blade is an off-limits topic; if the war was really only 100 years ago or so and Hoodie survived it, that would mean he was the one in charge of setting up these precepts, which wouldn't really have a purpose when he only had two students and no reason to hide it. I do think Hoodie could be the sixth foreteller, though, and that he has something to do with Xehanort's lion Keyblade. But I'm leaning more towards Hoodie/the sixth foreteller being either Xehanort's ancestor (if you believe the Rebirth Theory) or maybe even Xehanort himself, somehow (by extension. that definitely wasn't a Xehanort-ish personality, but we've seen that you can be Xehanort, half-Xehanort, and anything in-between, so WHO KNOWS...).
  14. I'm going with the obvious one, the super shifty sixth foreteller guy, because when has KH ever been secretive about who the bad guy is?
  15. I'm sad to say that I'm so used to hackers on leaderboards in other games that I'm pretty unfazed by this, personally. Yeah, it sucks, and "everyone does it" certainly isn't an excuse, but there's definitely more to the game than the high scores (the story and collecting medals are my interests), so I hope too many people aren't put off by this. And a lot of the time, hackers don't do it for rewards (many leaderboards don't offer anything for placing) but more for the lulz or because they're just bored. Even if KHUX did something as drastic as take away the rewards system, we'd still see this problem, sadly.
  16. Ah, see, I thought Anguis and Ava definitely sounded like Willa (just with a higher pitch) and Hayden, respectively. Also-- ^this. If you listen to Jesse's role as Robin in Young Justice, Gula isn't much of a stretch. As for Ira and Aced, we simply don't know how David Gallagher and Jason Dohring sound when they deepen their voices, so it could very well be them (the difference between Sora and Vanitas, anyone?). Additionally, if you watch the Japanese trailer, the VAs do seem to match up with the Rebirth Theory (although I wouldn't bet my life on it since I'm not Japanese and I can't distinguish voices as well as I could in my native language), so it doesn't make sense that they would cast Willa, Hayden, and Jesse only to skip over the other two, especially when Jason was already there voicing Terra. Or there may be another reason for switching VAs, but I agree that different voices don't kill the theory. Aced and Ira could just be older than their rebirth counterparts and thus needed more mature sounding voices, even.
  17. The second boss really isn't bad if you have several status effect medals. Poison and paralyze are ridiculously helpful if you've maxed them out.
  18. OKAY THIS IS REALLY COOL BUT... is this trailer gonna be subbed/dubbed, I wonder? If not, I'll be holding off until we get one that is. :x And that makes we wonder if they'll do a JP trailer tomorrow and then hold off for an English one until E3, since Japan is the favorite child and all.
  19. You can tell her Keyblade and keychain are different, too! so hyped for E3 now
  20. and yet we still know nothing, Jon Snow
  21. Birth by Sleep. The NA version doesn't have them yet but that's irrelevant. Birth by Sleep.
  22. I'm more interested each week in seeing who takes 3rd between Anguis and Leopardos, since we always seem to be battling closely for it.
