  1. That light repelling dark (and vice versa!) would be REALLY cool! And would fit the theme really well as well. The only issue would be with the numbered titles trying to focus on keeping with the standard Final Fantasy style spells instead of things like Raging Storm (which I got at the end of my most recent playthough of BBS as Aqua and it got me killed soooooooo many times against Terranort LMAO) and Faith/Salvation, etc. I think it would be wonderful to see those kinds of things come back though
  2. I loved defensive Aero as well, but I see why they changed it considering that, as you noted, they didn't have a precedent to make it a DEFENSIVE spell and probably wanted to bring it back more in line with the FF side of things. Personally I'd love to see more defensive spells and them to expand and vary magic from its traditional roles in games past.
  3. Since the release of those games political tensions have increased between the two. Not saying that’s the full reason but there is still a lot of bad blood between the two nations that they’re working through. Edit: there could also just be flat out cultural things that made them decide not to release it there. It could be any number of things
  4. I completely agree. Especially if they’re going to add to the game in the vein of a Final Mix, nowadays they could expand on that kind of thing so much more than in previous titles where disk space was SO limiting.
  5. That part, based on other translations of interviews, is primarily saying that he wants to do ONE BIG PAID DLC, and also (“apart from that”) create FREE small DLC updates. Like maybe new Keyblades or customization (he’s hinted at wanting to add 0.2 style customization post-launch) kind of thing. Nothing overly complicated or with real story behind it, just fun little updates.
  6. “Hey, you’re not... Terra, are you?” He’s always looking out for number one, himself. He was suspicious when Xehanort didn’t have memories after the events of BBS and asked him that loaded question above. He does what he can to ensure that HE survives, and you can bet if it was revealed that Terra was back in control he would have had the dude jailed or worse. He’s got his own agenda, even if it aligns him with Xehanort for the present and future that we know of. While it might be so he can get a Keyblade, part of me has always felt that was just part of his act rather than his actual goal. He was even surprised when Xehanort turned on him after “remembering” who he was in The Lab.
  7. The thing we have to remember in Kingdom Hearts is that the heart isn’t some “organ”. It’s a place memories are stored (?) it’s a place that emotions come from, and it’s what connects people and helps forms bonds within the series. It’s essentially more of a soul than a thing that keeps people alive. Being told that characters don’t have hearts while their Chain of Memories are still intact is always a bit sketchy. But even still, while Nobodies may start their existence without hearts, the main thing that a heart is, is simply them forging bonds and memories, something the Sea Salt trio did in spades.
  8. Oh don’t worry, I’m just curious is all ;D plus we still don’t have the full story as was mentioned previously so things might turn out better or worse depending on how you feel about everything come the epilogue and nope, the KH fandom has been pretty kind for the most part throughout the years. Every fandom has drama, but I think this one handles it well. Even back with the initial leaks that happened, the fandom was pretty quick to lock stuff down.
  9. It’s going to show that until it’s actually live the codes right now are just being picked up as valid code types associated with the Starlight Keyblade, but the codes will not work until the 29th as that is the scheduled release date.
  10. -eyes post suspiciously- ???? Either way things will work out in the end I’m sure. I know people can overreact but I have a bit more faith in the fandom overall, and Tumblr isn’t all of us. It’s definitely the more volatile side tho at times lol
  11. That’s why I don’t let things bother me. If a pairing I like is canon, I’m happy, if it’s not I’m happy for whoever’s is life’s too short to worry about pairings other people like. I’m definitely curious about it but im holding firm to my avoiding spoilers as best as being a mod here will let me (you guys are pretty awesome with not actually leaking stuff in a way that violates the spoiler policy, that I’ve been able to see so far, keep it up ❤️)
  12. The shipping wars, more powerful than any Keyblade War. Does it tho? As weird as it may be we see Kairi with Lea in the trailers more often than we see her with Sora..... ? (I’m totally not trying to Master Xehanort this post to bring about Shipdom Hearts ?)
  13. I’m not someone who gets mad about what ships win the canon war, thankfully. But I def have my ships of preference I cannot lie about that. Come on 2-4 days!
  14. Did someone say shipping? I'm holding off on spoilers but consider my curiosity even more piqued than before and I can’t wait until I get to see the end for myself.
  15. “Some people just want see the world burn, Master Wayne.” It would be nice if people learned that kind of behavior isn’t okay, but stuff happens. Essentially I don’t look at messages outside of trusted people on trusted platforms rn because of stuff like this. I feel for anyone that has been spoiled, or given the impression they have been over this game meant to be a love letter to fans after so long.
  16. Right now the PSN store for PAL regions is still showing the 29th, however that might be due to the processes that need to be completed before updates in release dates can occur that I mentioned earlier. I do have to reiterate that this is not guaranteed for any region outside the ones that have already confirmed the changes. While it would be nice, unfortunately this is not something we can say will happen to all distribution platforms in all regions
  17. It would stand to reason that if regions are getting official notices then it’s something they’ll be working on for the rest of global. Not GUARANTEED, but it’s a logical conclusion.
  18. In the full interview he does explain that he wants to develop smaller, free updates, as well as create ONE large paid DLC instead of making multiple medium sized ones.
  19. No problem! I used to work closely with people in retail (they would literally call my personal phone) to ask about these kinds of situations, or to ask about games and stuff that customers wanted to know about! I was the go-to for Nintendo and Sony products for them. Especially in concerns to preorder and release information even though I didn’t work for the company. I just knew who to talk to to get more info but that was years back
  20. Yes, but many retailers need to get authorizations from their parent companies or internal heads to sell. So things like EBGames and GameStop can’t just sell anything just because they get an email. They have to make sure all their ducks are in a row so to say. Sony and Microsoft have their own authorization channels they have to utilize to enable digital downloads to begin. Basically just because one part of an organization gets the go ahead from a publisher, doesn’t mean that they’re able to tell everyone in control of distribution to go ahead and allow sales early. It has to go through specific channels, which can take a few hours to even a couple of days from the initial request. Edit: Game for those in the UK and other regions that might have it in my examples of retail stores, sorry I don’t know many other regional game shops. Also they have to deal with their computer systems themselves, and there’s also the marketing concerns and events that have to be considered which might cause people to take issue with moving back the release dates. It’s actually a massive logistical situation even if they have the inventory already
  21. I think that might be the cause of delay in announcements. They have to make sure everything for day one gets authorized for the new release date. It’s a global effort and some regions are larger than others, especially in terms of numbers of pre-orders. JP already got its copies so there’s one less region to worry about, but the rest of the world that’s covered is still massive.
  22. I can neither confirm, deny nor endorse this course of action. ? At the end of the day though, while it may not change Stateside I’m happy for all those that are getting their release dates moved up hoping to hear more are getting moved up soon, in any region!
  23. I took Mon-Wed off already so if I get time to just play the whole game instead of half of it, I won’t complain
  24. This is interesting. I wonder if they’ll do that for other regions, even if it’s highly unlikely. But is Square is sending out the notices themselves it might be a possibility congrats on the earlier release date there though!!!
  25. I always do the highest difficulty first, so if Nomura laughing at me as I cry and get two-shot all the way to end game is that, I’ll do it. I love the challenge, even if I’m not the best at the game. I find it fun, even if I do want to cry.
