Okay, maybe the PS4 graphics can be better for games, as Uncharted looks way better on the PS4 than on the PS3! Makes me want to see how KH3D is truly look like on the PS4 when it is released.

Minato arisato repliedYeah it really bothers me, a guy on youtube goes out of his way to shit on SMT. But I'm am writing a video on this thing believe it or not. But it isn't a rant, or devaluing P4 as a game but mostly why i feel it's polarizing between SMT and to those who dislike the main series.
Dio Brando repliedDude some people accuse the main series of stealing of Persona,which made me facepalm so hard especially since the main series EXIST SINCE THE NES DAYS.........and the people that sees the SMT label as a mark of shame and how Persona is not a part of SMT despite having the same demons\Personas,spells,mechanics.....etc
Minato arisato repliedOnly reason the SMT subtitle on persona 3 and 4 was to promote it here in the west because nocturne was a hit, so that confuses me a lot. And yeah people confuse SMT as a persona rip off but its due to both series having entirely different audiences. At times i feel like P4 goes to cater to the weebs with two bath house events and Marie.

Minato arisato repliedYeah but it wasn't labeled like that ever in Japan and yeah people have a issue with saying "Can i preorder Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 5?" That kind of marketing was because of Atlus USA and only them. They've now left it intact as it longer needs promotion from the main series anymore

Minato arisato repliedYeah i agree with you, but at this point it would be strange especially when people who talk about the series will eventually come across the main series. Japan knows its a spin off but we are just getting to a point where Atlus is coming a big thing in America and Europe. So let Atlus's work eventually surface and people will encounter the series in due time.

Minato arisato repliedSMT4 Final is to hold us off until the next big SMT title with Kaneko coming back as the demon artist. They'll use the new demon models that the persona team is currently rending in HD and bam new smt main titles and spin offs. I'm hoping for more Raidou games.

Minato arisato repliedYeah it would, probably bring in some new comers for sure and SMT5 will probably be amazing if they put money into it, Exploring japan in hd and no more of the cursor map thing, that would be glorious. And with Kaneko coming back more glorious artwork for the protagonist and new artwork for demons. I'm really tired of the smt games on the 3ds using art from the 90s. It is high time for the games to step up their production value.
Dio Brando repliedWell most SMT games on the 3DS are remasters of Devil Summoner and Devil Survivor games except for SMT4,Persona Q and SMTIV Final
I think the reason they went that way with IV and IV Final is the fact that it'd be hard to render all 400+ demons on it since they don't have the same budget as Pokemon do pull off such a thing.I didn't mind it though since the artwork looked beautiful but I do agree that it's time to see a mainline SMT game in HD
Minato arisato repliedI think so too but it sometimes is jarring to see artwork from the Ps1 and new stuff for the 3ds next to each other and most won't care unless it looks new or is up to date. you know?
Dio Brando repliedI understand,although the sales for SMTIV were good for the franchise's standard.........sure it's not Final Fantasy number of sales but it was critically acclaimed and considered by a lot of people the best RPG on the 3DS....it's the closest things the mains series can get to Persona in terms of sales
