    Yep, I grew on that as well, but I never had a link cable, so I never got to really trade Pokemon in the old games. However I did get the cable to plug the GBA up to the GameCube so I could use the features for Pokemon Coliseum.

    Yeah I started with Emerald so I was at the very end of it, but still experienced it nonetheless. I even remember having a special cord for doing double battles with some of my friends xD And I did that as well, but for Pokemon xD.

    Well I didn't start playing majorly into a Pokemon until Ruby, but I used to just play the old classics, and even more so with Yellow and Crystal, just for fun, and then in Pokemon Ruby is when I became a serious trainer, but I also had fun along the training. But yeah, I didn't really need the old cable with the games, but I still got the GameCube cord so I could have fun! And then I also had that GB adapter thing you used for the N64 for Pokemon Stadium.
