I've decided I'm going to give Final Fantasy III another go. For the 6th time. See if I can actually make some porgress from the first 5 battles or die without saving. Again.

Shulk repliedAlright. I'm not really into it either (My interest ends at IX, and it varies quite a bit between all of those entries anyway), but VI's a great game regardless of the series it's in. IV's another one of my favorites.

Just to let you know, in IV-IX, the turn thing is... slightly remedied by a new change that's kind of tough to explain. Hmmm I'll have to look into it then.Shulk repliedChrono Trigger (DS), Chrono Cross (PS1, PS2, PS3), and Dragon Quest IX (DS) are all great games. Instead of the random battles, you see the enemies on the overworld (Some are forced encounters though, and in DQIX, they'll chase you around if you're at a lower level). Not quite sure if that changes anything for you, but at least I tried to give you some suggestions.

That and people seem to give some sort of importance to a sad, tragic story
Zola repliedI know, right? Death isn't the only way to achieve the perfect bittersweet ending. I think that just about any other source of regret for a character would be more powerful than death at this point anyway. Living with themselves will be better than any form of martyrdom that Nomura can come up with.

I think i'm going to get Sonic 06, record the Silver battle and see how long it takes me to beat him without breaking a controller or 2, I have 4 controllers currently, let's see how long that lasts.
