    I just started my... I dunno, fourth or fifth playthrough of Pokemon Silver? That's not even counting the remake. xD I love this game.

    It ties with X/Y for my favorite, they were so good. They added so many new features, the best of which never returned (Two regions, fighting the past protagonist, etc.)

    I think it helps that it has such a strong connection to RBY, like it's pretty much the only "true" sequel continuity-wise. Also with how the 100 Johto Pokemon is really more of an extension of the Kanto one than an independent dex like in all of the later games (which does make sense, considering all of the added evolution families and that 39 of the Gen 2 pokemon were going to be in RBY originally). It just feels like such a complete experience, and I never felt like that with a...

    Yeah, there's that too. None of the other generations really felt connected, aside from a few cameos from old characters. I really wish that they'd look to their old SGC ideas that they ditched at some point, there's a lot of potential.
