Reyn repliedEasiest way to dodgethe phase where ven turns into paint darkness is with flow motion. Anyway, so now, are you planning to take on the powered up versions of the story bosses and fight Julius? I beat Julius with the balloonga strategy at lvl 60 on Critical. He's pretty hard. Here's a tip, when he goes into his lightning phase(if he hits you in this phase, he'll lock your commands for a few minutes which is bad if he gets your curaga's) use flowmotion to go and stay a bove the...
Reyn replieduse flowmtion to stay above sora's entrance to the post office from the square where you fight Julius, and he can't touch you/ Trust me, it helps so much. Also, when he's normal and attacks you on the ground with his hands, guard against his attacks and wait for him to finish the combo and then counter him with the block counter abilty, this can rack up damage on him.
Reyn repliedI found him easier with Riku then Sora, but he drops the Ultima weapon only for the character you beat him with, so if you want the ultima for both, you gotta fight him with both characters. If you want the battle to be easier, fight the other bosses in the secret portals for HP ups and if you beat them all, you get the Unbound keyblade, which helps alot(i find Ultima is better though, as it has only a little less Strength then Unbound and more magic). Reyn repliedspam strategy to make this easier if your gonna fight him at a low level. It helps, i would have 6 balloons and 2 curagas. You could also use level 1 Balloons, since with julius's attacks, it works like Mine square in this fight, and helps. But balloonra and balloongas do more damage. Dont use moves like Ars Arcanum or Dark aura as he will destroy you otherwise. Trust me.
