Ever since 2015, When FF7 remake was announced even celebrities were surprised and shock. Basically name a game from any amount of game company that will shock twitter and Facebook itself(like ff7 remake).

Just give 3 games. Here mines for shocking announcement

Sony: Jak & daxter 4

Blood-borne 2

New Spyro game announced

Xbox: A Japanese exclusive IP

Halo 6 teaser

Xbox Scorpio

Square Enix: Long kh3 trailer

Parasite Eve Reboot

Life is Strange 2 trailer

Capcom: Devil may Cry 5

New SF5 from old games

New mega man game

Bethesda: Wolfestien New cosllus

Elder Scrolls 6(A man can dream)

Evil within 2

And saga: Sonic Unleashed sequel

A better virtue fighter 5

A Brand new Ip

Nintendo: Metroid Prime 4, F-Zero, Wave Race

Square Enix: Secret of Mana, FF 16, Parasite Eve

Microsoft: Conker, Lost Odyssey 2, Alan Wake 2

Capcom: Devil May Cry 5, Dragons Dogma 2, Onimusha, Dino Crisis, Breath of Fire, something that isn't a port or remake lol

There's only one other game that would invoke the same kind of shock from people around the world like the FF7Remake and Shenmue 3's announcements did, and that game is Half Life 3, that's it, no other game would cause the same shock, and no other game will ever do, those 3 are the holy trinity of videogame announcements, nothing else would even come close to it.

Not gonna lie but you are totally right. And how is shenmue very famous? I actually interested now. :)

definitely a game from a legacy franchise. Half Life 3 comes to mind as its that one game that people seem to want but Valve does not seem to want to make.

i also would have said the FF7 remake but that's already been announced.

Psychonauts 2 also might have been one but again, its been announced.

basically i'm thinking any game that a lot of people thought deserved a sequel but never got one. or also maybe a new game that was canceled but is suddenly revived.

Halo 6 teaser

Microsoft and 343 have confirmed there will be no Halo 6 at E3

If they announce a new Spyro game i'm going to get mad. Not because of the announcement of how hypocrites gamers will be.

Knack 2, baybee!

I feel like actual footage of Beyond Good and Evil 2 would shock the internet, as well as the return of Megaman Legends 3 and an announcement for Ape Escape 4( even after all these years, I'm still holding out hope).

Kingdom Hearts III isn't a shock, it's actually expected at this point.

Let me tell you a true shock, a Xenogears remake. That will truly shock me and make my E3, but that'll never happen...

(At least for me)

Nintendo:

Captain Toad Treasure Tracker 2 with DLC

New F-Zero and/or Metroid

Some already forgotten Nintendo game that people don't really remember all that well making a return in a new game

(Bonus: Smash Bros for Nintendo Switch that isn't a port with new additions but is instead a completely new title in the series, since people expect a port more than anything and that Smash Bros Switch isn't expected to be a new title in the series for a least a couple of more years)

Games that would probably take people by surprise, eh? Hmm, well, these three come to mind!

  1. Valve's Half Life 3. I've heard this is a pretty big deal, and that a 3 has been expected for a very long while now!
  2. Nintendo: Metroid. A new Metroid that caters to the classics as apparently Metroid fans have been begging for the longest of times!
  3. Nintendo: A new Pokemon game for Nintendo Switch. I think that'd be cool, since it'd be the first full fledged Pokemon game to come out for the Switch that would feel like a portable Pokemon game feels, but bigger, better and more expansive!

Metroid would blow the internet's mind. Same with Beyond Good and Evil 2. I can't think of much else that would be on that scale. Half Life 3, probably, but that's making the huge leap that it'll actually be a game which, yeah, it won't.

If FROM SOFTWARE announces Bloodborne 2, me and countless other people are going to ascend to a higher plane of existence.

Shenmue is that game that sold like crap when it came out originally, but because it created some sort of cult following it's that one game that everyone knows that is so awesome and yet barelly anyone even played it, the fact that it was a trilogy that was never completed left those that did play the original 2 waiting and waiting for the eventual final chapter, and those that never played it, just by hearing others talking about it, just feel they need that perfect game on their lives.

A shame though, because the game was really something special, when it came out, now? Not so much... it's basically a QTE type game, where things only happen during certain times of the day, so you basically have to go around doing stuff like playing arcade games, feeding cats, interact with people, get a job, etc, while you wait for the time to move so you can do whatever you have to do. The story is great though, it's a typical tale of revenge and doing whats right. But it's a game that was meant to be played back in the day, not now when what the game did before everyone else has been done to death by countless others.

Half-Life 3 would be incredible, I still have hope for that.

Metroid's definitely going to be announced in the next couple of years, Nintendo's been teasing for years now that a new one's in the works.

I hope metroid prime 4, Jak and daxter 4 and elder scrolls 6 get announced at e3.  That will shock people.

A new console Zelda game

Smash bros Switch

Metroid Prime 4

Mega Man X9

A Pokemon adventure game on Switch

Final Fantasy VI remake

A new Castlevania game(if its done right)
