That’d cause too much trouble with AB’s established systems. AB haven’t even figured out how to merge battle.net and Activision accounts fully yet. Adding Xbox Live to the mix would just be a recipe for disaster.

Minecraft didn’t already have a setup like AB does. Xbox would have to completely scrap battle.net and Activision’s account system, which would cause widespread problems and outrage

That sounds like a lot of hassle. That would basically require them to port everything twice if you're going to download Game Pass games and run them natively.

Wdym? You would just play the version that’s native to your platform. New CoD comes out on Game Pass, and subscribers on Xbox, PS, and PC would download their versions from their stores.

EA’s already experimented with the concept to a degree. It would just be a matter of implementing Game Pass onto more storefronts which nobody would ever go for.
