IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED BIRTH BY SLEEP DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING TEXT.

So at the end of Birth by sleep, when you finish the final episode; She defeats Terranort, Terra tries to release Xehanort's heart from his body, only resulting that he will enter the realm of darkness. Aqua doesn't allow this to happen so she decides to JUMP IN and save Terra from the realm "The darkness can't have you!" She manages to get Terra's body and decides to sacrifice herself just to keep him out of darkness.

Except at the end, It's Xehanort who is control. Now there are 2 questions

Who's heart was released, Because Terra and Xehanort are still inside.

And how will Aqua react when she finds out she helped the enemy also?

Terra doesn't try and release Xehanort's heart, Xehanort tries to lock away Terra's heart so he can have full control and not be bound by Terra's light, as Terra is fighting in him as well, as shown by the tag-team of the Guardian you can do near the end of the fight.

I think Aqua did the right thing cuz in both ways even if she didn't save Terranort , they will have to save him later for Terra . so in both ways the things gonna happen and I think Aqua gonna be suprised from alot of things not only knewing that she helped an enemy .

I think Aqua did the only she could have with the power she had. In this case, I don't think it's a question of "the right or wrong thing".

Lets just say there were a series of unfortunate events that could have made this pretty avoidable.

Any good friend would have done it.

To put it bluntly:

If your best friend unwillingly turned evil, and you had the perfect chance to kill him, would you or would you not?

.... who knew that a reference from Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck would have been in Kingdom Hearts?!

Holy crap! I never thought of it like that!

tutti frutti. To me it's hard to really say. I'm sure that a number of people would go a great deal to help a good friend, such as the incident with Aqua and Terranort. Overall, Terra would have needed to be saved, whether or not he would have sank into the darkness or have been helped by Aqua. Though much what Rob had mention there are events that should have been avoidable, such as Terra giving in to the darkness. I don't believe that Terra or Xehanort anyone's heart was released or locked. If anything, I think that Terra had made an attempt to release Xehanort's heart, to say the least. As for Aqua, she is going to be baffled from the events that took place after BBS. With everything that has taken place after BBS, from KH1 to Re:Coded, that's still a lot of stuff that has happened.

In my opinion, yes, she did the right thing.

She thought that Xehanort was fighting inside Terra's body, but that maybe, by defeating him, she could save her friend, and defeat Xehanort once and for all. Once the fight was over, she noticed that one of them was trying to remove the other (probably Terra [at her way of thinking] because since it was his body, his heart was the one who was "winning" and then he tried to remove Xehanort. When he did that, she might have thought that he successfully removed Xehanort from his heart, and then, when she went to the darkness to rescue him, she thought that Terra was once again Terra. Then, to save her friend, she gave him the chance to return to the Realm of Light. {Hope that was what she thought xD}

Also, in that time, it was very hard for her to find out if it was Terra or Xehanort who was winning. She only thought about saving her friend, without thinking of the consequences. For her, saving Terra was more than enough.

And I don't think she will ever find out that she accidentally helped Xehanort.

No

Yes.

Well because she saved his body because she believes that someday, Terra will be saved.

But I'm not sure what she thinks about herself though. But in the ending it shows that she has hope that she will be saved.

So yeah, I guess she did the right thing. Without her, the entire KH series wouldn't happen anyway...

Yes I think she did the right thing and the only thing she could have done at that point. She had two options: let him fall into darkness or save him. And she really didn't know who was in control at that moment and she only had like two seconds to decide so she did what any selfess friend would do and saved him.

Eh, that was her friend so yeah she did the right thing. She wasn't exactly sure what was going on, all she could assume was that it was Terra she was rescuing. Plus if she hadn't saved Terranort than we wouldn't even be here right now, now would we?

I don't know what the hell Of Mice and Men is, but...I guess.

It's a famous old book.

Firstly, terra tries to take xehanort out of his heart but failed. And aqua thought she did the right thing because she felt terra had managed to release xehanort.

There was no way that Aqua could know what would happen after the events of Final Episode - all she cared about was saving her friend. :)

Any good friend would have done it.

It depends on how evil. If he tries to kill other peoples and possibly does, thatn yes, i would kill him.

Acctually i would do same thing as aqua did. Its kinda sad she losed ten years from her life though.

ditto

Yes, I believe that she made the right choice. She did what she thought was best to save her friend, even though Terra didn't take control of his body again.

In hindsight, she probably didn't do the right thing considering the damage that Xehanort did afterwards. Though her decision certainly played on the optimist that Aqua is and at the time, with what she knew, it certainly was understandable.

Yes.

Though a ton of horrible things cause by Xehanort happened after BBS, Aqua did the most she could to set things right at the time.

Aqua managed to save Terra's body knowing that one day he still could be saved.

That's how I see it.

i think aqua believed that she had defeated terranort and terra was in control of his body so she wanted to save him because thats what best friends do in kh,like riku protected sora in the final moment in xemnas final battle in the end of kh2

All of this shit happened over one old man.

Wanting to reinact an old war.

I can see what happens when Sora saves Aqua from RoD.

Aqua: "So, i saved man who almost destroyed all worlds, AND SPENT FIRETRUCKING 10 YEARS ALONE!?"

Sora: "Shit happens bro, shit happens...."
