Either way, I think it's just a statistic. I've seen all kinds of different numbers in there. "4% do. 5% do. 10% do." No one's crunched the real numbers, they're just trying to attract attention to it.

 

Me? I can't believe in some nebulous deity without foolproof evidence. I am a scientist after all...

But yeah, there's a lot of those posts. I think it's just supposed to mean that recently Atheism and Agnosticism along with people turning to other religions are at an all time high, so it's just kinda saying there aren't that many Christians in the world that would really support God, so put this as your signature for those who are. 4 just happened to be the number they chose when whoever made that Sig made it.

That list is just what the respective countries' religions are. It has nothing to do with the individual persons of that country. A country's religion changes based on its leader, except for Democracies.

Not to offend anyone who does have those signatures--I disabled signature viewing on my account (I was seeing too much content from the DDD trailer, and I don't want to be spoiled), so I can't see who has what anymore.

 

I think it would be better if those signatures said "Post this if you'll stand up for God" or whatever without the statistics or anything.

anyway, i believe in a god of some sort, however i do not believe in organized church AT ALL. i strongly believe that they do too much, and should only be houses of worship and do charity work. the idea of telling me how to live my life bothers the hell out of me, and i believe that a homosexual or a prostitute can believe in god just like anyone else. man, firetruck organized church.
