i know he called her one of his best friends but its just that whenever she talked to him he made a really annoyed face as if to say JUST FIRETRUCK OFF

LOL, I got that feeling too, I mean, not all the time. But it would happen a few times where I'd get the sense he wasn't too comfortable around "her".

Well yeah I mean he had to fight her a lot.

But I have to say he probably just didn't feel confortable around her knowing the truth.

I agree with Kinode. I think he didn't like being around her since he knew exactly what was going on the whole time.

He was probably afraid to become too attached to her, especially since he was helping to carry out the Organization's plan, which, in turn, was hurting both Xion and Roxas. And I bet he might've been a little annoyed that he felt friendly toward her since she was only an experiment, even lower than a Nobody, and therefore should've been even less capable of imitating human emotion than the rest of them.

 

nah, he truly cared for xion, just like he cared for roxas. MUCH more for roxas, but he definitely cared for xion.

i have to agree it's kinda the look saix gives axel at times remember when they were talking that one time you could see saix was trying to not punch right then and there

and come on vexen gives most people that look if you think about oh well anyways xion is apart of roxas and he loves roxas like a baby loves a rattle or something so ya he cared for her but was jealos she might try to steal roxas from him

O_O I never got that vibe at all. Axel was always trying his best to save the both of them. It's just that Axel always picked the Organization over Roxas and Xion. You see that more obviously in that cutscene, because he brings her back to avoid her disappearing. Either way, though, it was pretty much planned for her to be destroyed, so eh. It's sad that it wasn't until after Xion and Roxas went back to Sora that he decided to leave the Organization, but you also got to consider the fact that he was a nobody who had no heart and shouldn't be able to feel anyway. Plus there was the whole "takeover the organization" plan he had with Saix that probably delayed him.

Well, I think he cared about her. You can see that in one of the scenes with Saix talking to Axel, and he has to choose between both but he cares more about Roxas with no doubt.

Now that you metion it, I noticed that, too. I never really thought about that.

I notice that he seemed to give her looks as well. He would give her the cold shoulder sometimes and remained quiet whenever Roxas and Xion talked unless they spoke with him. If there was a best friends connection it seems very forced and I think he was just trying to relate to his own life where he had friends. He went with the flow though he could be defensive at times. I just don't see a best friend quality with Xion at all. Even though he says it he is confusing at times. There are often times he would even change the subject if they ask him something.

Well people you all have to realize Axel always knew the truth about Xion being a clone, so when he first hung out with her he decided to treat her like Siax had treated her throught the game. I guess once he saw Xion as the person Roxas saw her as he developed the same type of connection Roxas had with her. So to answer your question, no I dont think he ever truley hated her

I think that

1. He did care for her.

2. After finding out about her origins and purpose he was conflicted be because she was even less of a person then a Nobody and her very existence put Roxas in danger but he still cared for her and didn't want her to be destroyed.

And 3. He was a little annoyed and jealous that she was all Roxas ever talked about.

He feels weird because the truth is.. he was with two Soras the whole time.

I wouldn't say "hate" necessarily.

 

It's kind of like.. my life.

 

I have a best friend, where we can laugh for hours with no end, (sorta like Axel and Roxas) but my friend also has another good friend she hangs out a lot with too. I don't mind this person, and I do consider that person a friend, however, I just prefer to be with my best friend alone than with the three of us. If that makes sense...

 

So back to Kingdom Hearts, I don't think Axel hates Xion, I think he just prefers time with just him and Roxas.

But i'm sure Axel has his own reason why he "sometimes" hate Xion.

I feel like he didn't care for her at first, but eventually warmed a bit. Their friendship though, at least on Axel's part, seemed to be for the benefit of Roxas as they both obviously valued their friendship with him.

He definitely did not hate her. If he did then he would not have been upset when she was willingly going back to Sora to be destroyed. I highly doubt that he was simply following orders to bring her back (this is because of the dialogue in Izzo's post).

Also the conversation between Axel and Saïx indicates that he really was friends with Xion and not ignoring her or treating her poorly (which he would have been doing if he had hated her).

A bit. But I think Axel only 'disliked' her because he loved to spend time with Roxas alone
