It is my dream to be a game designer preferably in one of SE's studios.

well, im going to study to that job at next year. I have a little experience on that too.

Ehhh I dunno... it's something I wouldn't mind doing but I don't want to do ontop of other things? If that makes sense?

I guess it would also depend on the company and a few other things too... I would love to design things and come up with concepts though...

I would actually like to compose music for the games.

Im in school to get my Bachelor's in Video Game Art and Design ;)

i would love to own my own production company one day though o.o

I worked with model design for a bit, but I'd rather be a producer or something. I'd wanna make the game rather than physically make it.

Tester and Reviewer or Designer.

I would jizz my own jizz out. That's how bad I would want to become one.

I would take any job really. Being in the video game industry would just be a bonus. I did study animation once, and I have friends in Volition who make the Saints Row games (I actually knew about Saints Row the Third years before it was announced, but I wasn't allowed to say anything. They shouldn't have put freaking big posters of it hanging around the office >.>) But, yeah, if I get a job in the game industry it would be localizing Japanese games into English :P

Yeah, I want to be a game programmer. It would be cool to start out as a tester though, and get paid to play games.

Most video game jobs actually kinda suck.

Tester: Yeah you get to play the game before everyone. But you get to play the shittiest version of the game, with many bugs and glitches. Also as a tester you must test EVERYTHING which involves but is not limited to.

A. Running into a wall from every feesable angle to make sure it functions

B. Running across every single surface of the game over and over again

C. Playing through each event 100+ times to make sure it functions the same way everytime

Moderator/Community Leader: Put it this way, if you take one of these jobs you will be forced to interact with a game community. Each game community is mostly awesome with 95% stupidity rates.

This.

I prefer to work on the field of Designing or Programing.

I would definitely take it, if it was writing for the games. Though testing or programming I wouldn't turn down.

Nah. I'm going to become an author.

I might too, but I would rather write video game stories than books. In a video game, I would actually get to see my ideas come to life. Heck, almost all of the great story idea I have are meant to be in a game. I have an entire outline for a trilogy typed up, and I even have ideas on how the gameplay would work.

Now that I think about, my dream job would be game "Director" or whatever. Writing the story, overseeing production, that kind of stuff. Would be awesome.

What happened to Artwork?

I'd love to be a tester though, you play the game and get paid for it, lolwut.

I would like to be a Designer (which is what I am wanting to do as a career) and join in with the team. Storywriter and Director would be cool to. Tester is a 50/50 situation where it's great to play the games before anyone else, but you have to go through everything plus making sure that the game has no problems like Fredfredbug4 said. But then again, Testers are important to see how well the game is going before it is released to the public.

Meh, maybe.

Where was the "All of the above" options before No?

Anyways, I picked Game Reviewer/Tester because I already do this

im attending college in order to become an animator so if by chance i get offered a job to create and animate cutscenes or CGI for a videogame(s), then count me in! :D i dont think this was one of the poll options though, unfortunately!

Yeah, it'd be pretty cool. Besides... you'd be able to play KH3 before anyone else. :3

I recently discovered i would love a job in video game art and design while i was going over course selection for next year of highschool and i only enjoyed the art classes and programming classes offered. Cant wait to take the schools 3 period video game programming class! :D

i would really really really love to be a game tester

I know nothing about computer programming of any sort, but I just think designing games and levels would be so much fun! Especially characters...except I can't even draw. Haha...ha...

Sure, I wouldn't mind being a tester or a reviewer.

Not that it's my biggest dream in life, but playing and writing about games wouldn't be a bad way to earn cash. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png
