Guinness World Records 2012 Gamer's Edition, which is out now, has included a section on the "top 50 video game endings of all time". Not surprisingly, both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II have made the list! Kingdom Hearts II was awarded 31st place, and Kingdom Hearts was awarded 22nd. Guinness World Records can today reveal the Top 50 Videogame Endings of All Time as voted for by 13,519 fans of gaming.

 

Conducted for the new Guinness World Records 2012 Gamer's Edition book, the list will cause heated debate among passionate gamers and provide further evidence of the growing sophistication and popularity of videogames.

This list recognises some of the greatest endings and hopefully will get gamers talking about what are their favourites and why."

So its nice to see that Kingdom Hearts has a place among some of the best games of the videogames industry

KH deserves to be more popular.

Well, it'd be rude to say that Call of Duty sucks or anything like that. People think that saying mean things about it and the people who like it make them seem smart or something...? I don't know.... of course being a Kingdom Hearts fan I'd want it to be higher, but that's just me.

Your favorite game is the best game in the world, and so is someone else's. There really is no best game, that's why you should disregard lists like this. Although it is nice to see others are recognizing the series.

2. How in the f**k do you make a WORLD RECORD entry for VIDEO GAME ENDINGS?! Aren't world records supposed to be, you know, facts and statistics, and NOT OPINIONS?

Man this list is terrible. Halo Reach being second I can understand brilliant ending. Black ops had a terrible ending. I'm sorry but you come back from being underwater after (obviously) killing the bad guy and the entire navy is there and planes fly over not even a good ending. I think alot of gamers don't care about little things you know like plot anymore.

Okay, I'm really disappointed to not see FF XIII on this list. The ending was beautiful, moving, cliffhanging, but some clousure. It was the most brilliant ending ever.

I could go in my History book right now and I could read the firetrucking ending in there. Super Mario Bro's shouldn't even be on the list, especially the Wii game. It is just a repeat of "Sorry but your Princess is in another castle." with the repeat of Mario beating Bowser every time, and getting a kiss from Peach, but no boobs.

Kingdom Hearts actually has a story and it is not based on History, which makes it even more unpredictable. Kingdom Hearts should have had a way higher score on this list, and it definitely surpasses CoD easily. Even though CoD is a alright game, but I only play it for Nazi Zombies anyway.

when i saw that it wasn't going to be any of the kh, i thought it would be something else made by square enix but nooooo. my little brother has black ops ( he's nine, which is messed up but anyway, ) and all the kids at my school talk about how crappy it is. T_T someone definatnly hacked Guinness and switched out black ops and KH2

I dunno its all still peoples opinions when it all comes down to it regardless. Peoples ideas of what makes a great ending differ on what they deem important to a quality ending.

i think its cause black ops is a game that nearly everyone has seen, heard, or played. Kingdom hearts just isn't known by as many people. If everyone knew kingdom hearts it no doubt would be in the top ten, at least.

Anyways, I think it's great Kingdom Hearts is featured on this list. Say what u want about how it was structured (I myself think that Blacks Ops getting the #1 spot is baffling) but at least we get to see KH getting some mainstream love.

So, let me get this straight; Not a single Final Fantasy ending, AC ending, Uncharted ending, or a Kingdom Hearts ending beat out one of the most pointless endings I have ever seen? I have yet to see a single CoD game with an ending even worth putting on any ending list except for maybe most pointless to have to watch. In all honesty, I wasn't aware that CoD even actually had a story behind its campaign because every single person I know (including me) that plays the games doesn't even watch the cut scenes. The runner-up Halo Reach had a better ending than Black Ops by far. Even the rabid Black Ops fans at my school admitted that.
