I read the Topic wrong. I read "Sora's" Punishment, but I don't think that a Dad should embarrass his son like that.

If more parents were like this, we wouldn't have as many idiots in our schools that don't know the difference between China and Japan (true story). It's obvious the father cared for his son, and I thi

Well, that's not a bad idea. It's a good way to get your point through.

My type of dad, had every right to do that, and it was one of the best ways.. I support this :D

in the end he's doing it because he cares about his son and wants his son to do well in school. i could understand if the kid just wasn't getting it and had asked his father for help, but it seems like he doesn't do the work and just messes around in school: a.k.a the class clown.

I read....

"Sora's punishment for failing 3 diseases."

Anyways I think he doesn't deserve public humiliation as the correct punishment, but if thats what it takes to get him in a productive road, then I guess its for the best. He does care for his son, thats why he is doing this.

Omg me too.

Same here!

But my dad always says he'll do stuff like this, but he never gets around to it because I get scared and fix my problems!

I think public high-schools should only devote their extremely limited resources towards the children that actually want to learn.

good for him to teach his son, but im surprise someone didn't go "oh my god why would you do that to your son thats so blah blah blah" i thought it was gonna be something like that, the parent dose something to teach his/her child on something or tries to help him but some stupid people are sueing him or whatever saying thats not right to do to a child, but still its a nice way to get a message across

What's worse: Getting whooped or public humiliation?

I'd take the whooping and learn my lesson.

I think the kid would of done better in school if his dad would of help him with his home work once in a while.

Mom and dads blame TV and Video games. When their the one to blame.

They should make sure their kids are studying and make sure they did their home work.

But I did find it funny what the dad did to the kid lol

thats the point lol if you'd rather take the whooping then the humiliation is the better punishment.

do u know that the dad didn't try to help his son with his homework?

No but think about it. Wouldn't the kid do good in school if the Mom or Dad helped?

I'm not trying to fight or anything. I'm just saying what I think.

lol im not trying to fight, either. i asked for you all to express your opinions, im just expressing mine. but, anyway, he wouldn't necessarily do better. my dad's trying to help my brother with his geometry class and he's not doing so great. besides, just because the parent helps with the homework, doesnt mean the kid will actually learn or try hard on the test. plus, in the video the dad said that the punishment was his last resort.

wow so many people read this as sora's punishment

so did i

I love that dads thinking, Good job dad now lets hope he can pass his classes

I'm kinda on the line about this one. I think the Dad had a good point and it probably taught a good lesson. But I know how painful bullying can be and the kid is probably really going to suffer for that. Or if he went to my school, be embraced for failure.

wow, i've never heard of a punishment like that. way to go! more parents needs to be like this

if my dad did that to me now, i'd wait until his 50th birthday (Which is only about 6 or 7 years away), place a sign on him that says 'I'm old and cenile, Honk if you think i'm crazy', and i'd keep driving by and honking my car horn.

my blasted mistak, i meant to put an 's', but my keyboard didn't put down the s, besides, i've already prepared my dad's middle aged pie in the face and kick in the butt
