July 3, 201213 yr This .....plus its a good thing to have an original weapon that stands out from the average sword or gun choice Yeah it would just make KH more generic..
July 3, 201213 yr Because it deals with locking and unlocking doors and hearts? ^This. Without a key weapon the entire story wouldn't be as it is.

Could Sora's Kingdom Key have the most significance in the series?
July 3, 201213 yr Could Sora's Kingdom Key have the most significance in the series? Yeah, it's the Keyblade of the Realm of Light.
July 3, 201213 yr This .....plus its a good thing to have an original weapon that stands out from the average sword or gun choice Very true. I'd like to see how the chainsaw would have fit.
July 3, 201213 yr Actually, did you guys know that before the Keyblade, it was a CHAINSAW! Yeah a chainsaw, then they figured it wasn't to "kiddy" i guess, and they switched to the keyblade.
July 3, 201213 yr Very true. I'd like to see how the chainsaw would have fit. LOL! It definitely wouldve been fun to see. Actually, did you guys know that before the Keyblade, it was a CHAINSAW! Yeah a chainsaw, then they figured it wasn't to "kiddy" i guess, and they switched to the keyblade. You were ninja'd by Rob:D
July 3, 201213 yr I feel that they wanted to be original, and that it would fit for the storyline they had planned. It's more original than making a "Sword of Light" or "Sword of Darkness".
July 3, 201213 yr Or would you rather have a bunch of these...Honestly I dont think Kingdom Hearts would have been good if it stayed like this.
July 3, 201213 yr The keyblade is a great way to make the Kingdom Hearts series orginal. Plus the History of the Keyblade has not been mentioned yet and it's a good thing to look foward to in future titles in the series.

July 3, 201213 yr tutti frutti. I don't think treating Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, and Dream Eaters like Zombies in the same manner as Lollipop Chainsaw would have had the same feeling that we know today.
July 3, 201213 yr better giant key than giant gun. Its much more fun to hit others with car-keys isnt it?
July 3, 201213 yr Or would you rather have a bunch of these...Honestly I dont think Kingdom Hearts would have been good if it stayed like this. I still don't know why he became a lion/cat during that time.
July 3, 201213 yr I still don't know why he became a lion/cat during that time. They'd actually started out with Mickey Mouse being the main character. And don't quote me on this, but I think it was Tetsuya Nomura who wanted original main characters. However you can tell in the first game with the big yellow shoes they still made him Mickey mouse like
July 3, 201213 yr I still don't know why he became a lion/cat during that time. Nobody does, Nomura had a sick mind Lion King+Final Fantasy=Lion/Human
July 3, 201213 yr I heard they also thought about making him a monkey at first too...But hey, especially in KH1 and CoM , he kinda reminds me of a monkey anyways
July 3, 201213 yr Nobody does, Nomura had a sick mind Lion King+Final Fantasy=Lion/Human Final Fantasy has had quite a few animal humans/anthromorphic animals i their series. But that original design for Sora looks too much like a Final Fantasy character for my taste.
...as a major component of the KH series?
