Deep Jungle is a world based on the 1999 movie Tarzan. So far, it has only appeared in KH1 and some plans were made to put it in COM, but the creator of the Tarzan novels, Edgar Rice Burroughs, decided not to let Square Enix and Disney use Tarzan's likeness anymore at that time, so only scans of it exist. After that, Deep Jungle was treated like it didn't exist.

 

Does this piss you off (YES! :angry: DJ was firetrucking awesome....) OR are you glad that its not part of KH lore anymore and probably won't be in another KH game again?

 

OR, do you think Burroughs should ease up and let DJ back in for KHIII or any other future title? Leave your opinions below.

Eh, it was just another world. The only thing that made it exciting was the slide down to the camp.

I wasn't very fond of Deep Jungle at all. I'm glad they didn't bring it back, but then again, they couldn't.

Deep Jungle has caused an issue regarding the creation of an HD Collection. People have said that there can't be an HD Collection, or if there is, KH1 won't be in it solely because of Deep Jungle but I'm not so sure.

 

Believe it or not, Konami actually can't use the Metal Gear Solid theme song anymore because the song is owned by a Russian Composer who made a song insanely similar to it in the 70s. Because of this, they couldn't put the theme in MGS4 and Brawl despite them originally being planned. This brought up some concerns with the MGS HD Collection. People thought the song would be removed since it was in both MGS2 and MGS3. However, they were able to keep it in completely intact.

 

What I am saying is, if Square plans to make an HD Collection, KH1 should still be doable right? If Konami was able to use the theme in the re-release of the MGS games, Square should be able to re-release KH1 with DJ intact?

I personally liked Deep Jungle, it had good musics and creative level design, but I sometimes had problems to figure out where to go and how (most of that is because I played KH1 first time when I was about 5-6 years old)

But yeah, I would like to see Tarzan coming back , although it is impossible

I don't like Deep Jungle,but it's part of the story.In Deep Jungle,Sora,Donald and Goofy become more friendly.

Anyway,is have a HD,for me,it will have no problems without him

Burroughs has been dead for quite a while now. The decision now lies with the Burroughs Estate.

It's not my favorite, but I did enjoy it. I really don't care if they did bring it back or not. I was disappointed when it didn't appear in Chain of Memories. If it does come back I'd be happy, if it doesn't, that's ok.

I wasn't pointing specifically at anyone, I just think its lazy to use abbreviations all over the place, and that to me is naive. If you are just going to say "are you coming" verses saying "r u cumn?" Its a whole 6 characters different, kind of pointless, and a time difference of how much, not enough to make a difference.

I realized it now since i reread your post

I loved Deep Jungle! It was absolutely gorgeous as a world. Sometimes I go in first person view there just to look up at all the trees.

I want Deep Jungle to be back in Kingdom Hearts. It holds a special place in my heart for reasons I cannot explain. I think that people should just stop worrying about how their crap is used in a videogame and just let it be used. So, I think that burrows should just ease up and stop being a stiff.

I thought Deep Jungle was an "ok" world. Sure it wasn't the easiest world to navigate and the story wasn't spectacular, but it deepened Donald, Sora, and Goofy's friendship. I would have no problem never seeing this world again though.

Don't like the world. I seriously doubt Square Enix want to go through all the legal crap again just to use that world.
