Sadly, it's plausible. Almost a decade of development, and so many absences from TGS and E3, it all kinda pieces together like a puzzle. I'm going to take this with a 50/50 chance rate of it being true. Discuss.

Uncle Dolan wrote an article about a Rumor that FF XIII Versus was dead by Kotaku but a few hours ago IGN spoke to Square on the matter because they were making the decision to let the game fade away than officially announce it's cancellation due to concerns of over stock prices. They should get back in a few hours.

If this rumor is true then KH3 might finally get into works.

So SE decides to let it fade away instead of making an announcement about cancelling it. Well, if they aren't working on it. Then that means..................KH3!!!!!

The article just says that reports are surfacing and that kotaku is claiming it has been cancelled. It never said it has been been confirmed cancelled. Ign is just saying what kotaku said

Nah I don't think it would be caned, this game looks to good to just let it die, I don't care if this is true that Kingdom Hearts 3 gets made sooner if it is ture, I was looking foward to this game

Well it's probably going to die, they have wayyy to many projects going and who knows what will come out, but we will find out in a few hours

It's not that they have too many projects because Nomura had a team working on this. They have different teams working on different games

It means that Kotaku's journalism sucks. What Kotaku does is that any information they find, even if it's a little and it's dubious with no concrete evidence, on the website it goes. They claim Versus XIII is cancelled, but as far as things are concerned, it's dubious because we do not know how much information Kotaku actually have in regard to Versus XIII that support the claim of 'cancellation'.

 

Just research Kotaku and you'll find that their Journalism is sub-par at best and a pile of shit at worse.

Its not yet a fact, its a sourceless rumor that Kotaku probably made up (since there has been no news on the game in 18 months) to get hits.

I'm not sure they even knew what they were going to do with the game anyway. Maybe they're just holding it off till they get some solid ideas flowing, either way it beats the hell out of holding up their other game productions.
