To me, this comes to the forefront in DDD, where Sora is portrayed as a failure in need of saving, but it wasn't so much DDD, but rather, that DDD had me thinking about previous games
It seem like recently, the plot is trying to undermine everything Sora does, in order to remind of how good, great, awesome, outstanding and amazing EVERYBODY else is
So I feel that maybe Nomura is starting to regret having chosen Sora, but now feels he's stuck with him.
