October 20, 201213 yr I mean, the term is basically self-explanatory. Remake means, it's being made again. You'd make a new version of an older game, and you'd start from scratch. Build it from the ground up again. Examples: The Resident Evil 1 or MGS1 remakes for the Gamecube. The HD collections and re-releases are ports. Porting in gaming means, converting a game to run on a platform other than the one it was originally designed for. That can happen for consoles of the same generation or as is the case for the HD collections, converting games from the last generation to run on current gen platforms. It's still the same game, just converted. Maybe even with a few upgrades, remastered textures (as is the case for KH HD), but still the same game.

I mean CoM already had it's remake as you said, so they could have put handheld console games for PS3, it'd be much better. But I guess there's a hole market behind it, picking the games in chronological order, making the 1.5 collection, but I'd still preffer a Days remake, much better than a DS game... But, at least we're getting new game right? Can't complain about that And just about the remake/remaster thing: I think people say more for convience. Everyone knows that they're making a HD collection, that's what's important... And when you think of it, they changed some things in KH1... Not that it would consider a remake anyways...

October 21, 201213 yr Not really. Usually remakes will look better as it's completely remade. It is the diffrence between making something new from scratch or change some details and upgrading the textures.
