I wonder what Square Enix is going to do after releasing every Kingdom Hearts game in HD. I don't see anything but Kingdom Hearts 3 and if it is, it is most likely be either one of the last games for PS3 before PS4 comes out or one of the first games for PS4. What do you think?

Well, after they do the hd collection(s) the only real things they can do are KhPC and Kh3. Most likely Kh3 will come after those are released.

They can also do Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 which would have Kingdom Hearts 2, Birth By sleep and maybe put re:coded and dream drops cinematics in there like 358/2 days in 1.5. Oh yeah and KHPC, thanks keysofblade for reminding me!

After the KH ReMIX's (I've changed my opinion recently and suspect there to be 2 ReMIX (which makes me think KH2.5 will be KH2FM, DDD scenes and Re:Coded remade, cause it follows the "Re" for Re:coded in this case, and MIX for Final Mix, and they all lie between 2 and 3), and cause BBS is already on the PSP they can easily port it to the PS3 for a download instead of having to remake it) I think KH3 will be released, if the PS4 is released (it's in development just there won't be any news til they have ground breaking technology to present, although the next generation is coming out soon PS has never cared about leaving it late to release something really epic) it will be released with it in a bundle to generate sails, if it's still being developed it'll be on the PS3 obviously.

 

I think after this, a number of side stories will  be produced and the then available handhelds (e.g. PSVita, and whatever follows from now to then)  showing each character who fought in the wars own side story and how they progress from there after, possibly running into the new anatagonist, but not defeating it.  Then another "home console/main game" will be released centering around the new enemy they have to put an end to together or something of love and stuff.

 

I know the writing here looks like a mess but I got off topic and tried to separate it from the main point as best I could.

There's a good chance that BBSV2 will come out as it's also KH 0.5It just seems more fit that he'lll release all the .5s (i.e, 1.5, 2.5, 0.5) before releasing kh3 

After Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 ReMIX- is released next year, Square Enix will probably start to release more information and maybe even footage of "Kingdom Hearts for PC Browsers". And they will begin development on Kingdom Hearts -HD 2.5 ReMIX- which has been all but confirmed by Nomura. I'm assuming it'll be Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix & Birth by Sleep Final Mix with a Re:coded theatre of cutscenes. The other alternative is Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] instead of Birth by Sleep Final Mix.

 

Then finally Kingdom Hearts III for the last of it's generation, PlayStation 3 or the PlayStation 4.

Nomura said he wanted to remake 358/2 Days but they lacked the time, so I seriously doubt they would remake Re:coded.

Yes and that's very true. Kingdom Hearts 3's development depends on Final Fantasy versus XIII as well. I had totally forgotten about this game! LOL

Kingdom Hearts 0,5 HD (Birth by Sleep Final Mix, Birth by Sleep volume two as a story or theater mode)

Canceling KH PC (Which I really really really REALLY hope)

then the heaven descend for having KIngdom Hearts III

Note: I don't even think that 2,5 HD would EVER include BBS since BBS timeline is NOT between KH2 and KH3.

"What after Kingdom Hearts HD?"…More waiting.

My own personal prediction:

 

2013 - KH HD 1.5 reMIX comes out. 

2014 - KH HD 2.5 comes out for PS3 (It's pretty easy to assume they have already started on it since 1.5 is nearly done) and possibly PS4

2015/2016 - KH3 comes out for both PS3 and PS4 

 

Now of course the release of kH3 is dependant on FF Versus XIII, but I'm guessing that based on all the recent hype it has been getting and Square Enix's sudden comments of, "It's still being made!" "We are still planning to localize it!""Its coming", seem to me that they will be announcing more about it (FINALLY) very soon. Fans have of course waited since 2006 or 2007 when it was announced, so SE is just trying to hold them off a little bit longer. So I think that development/creation of KH3 will begin next year.

 

Now for why I think KH3 will be on both PS3 and PS4. Sony stated that PS3 will have support through AT LEAST 2015, it might even go longer. PS4 will have its supporters of course and many people will buy it, but since both the HD collections will be released for PS3, it would be a major kick in the face to those who they got excited for KH3 through the HD collections on PS3 and then they have to go drop $400-$500 for another system just so they can complete the story. Look at PS2, up until 2011, there were still a lot of games being released in both ps3 and ps2 formats, they just werent advertised for ps2. Sports games like Madden, NCAA football, NBA 2k all have their 2012 versions (not the current 2013 ones) on PS2. I could easily see SE doing a similar thing with KH3

if versus 13 isnt out by that time my guess would be birth by sleep volume 2

I still hold on to my belief that Birth by Sleep can be counted as between 2 and 3. After all, it is told in a story telling way ("that would be the last night we ever spent beneath the same stars"). And all three of them are in a sleeping kind of state, so they would have time to reflect on all of the memories of the past. Plus, Aqua's chat with Ansem the Wise does happen after 2 sometime

2013 - KH 1.5 reMIX (KHFM, KH Re:CoM, and Days for theater mode) 

2014 - KH 2.5 reMIX (KH2FM, KH3D, and Re:Coded for theater mode)

2015 - KH 0.5 reMIX (KHBBSFM, KHBBS V2 [even though it's unlikely]) (Master Keepers idea )

2016 - KH3

2017+ - New Saga 

 

 

I think that's how its going to go. At 2014, KH3D would be atleast 2 years old, so there will probably be a remake for it like Re:Coded (cutscenes only) and probably BBS (if 0.5 doesn't exist). 

As most have stated already I think the order would be

-KHPC

-KH2.5 Remix

-KH BBS vol. 2, though you could throw that one out if you want this one was just me getting my hopes up.

-KH3

I guess KH3 and then maybe we will see something hinting towards the next saga after this xehanort saga. Which would be interesting to see where the series will go.
