So here it is: I challenge all of you...and I mean ALL OF YOU.....to analyze the story of Sonic 06.....all of it

 

I've analyzed it more than twice and I was near the brink of insanity...and I'm proud to say that this story is the most non-sensecal thing I ever seen in my entire life

The game was a disgusting abomination. It wasn't even finished.

Infinite +s on the music though.

Haha yeah, everything about that game was crappy. Everyone's gameplay was hiorrible except Blaze's which i find strange to find her to be faster than Sonic

 

Well, I'd say it had great music but that was about it. Blaze was the only character I found to work well in the game. Other than that it wasn't too great of a game. The glitches are funny to see sometimes though.

Yeah Blaze's gameplay was the only good thing about 06. Other than the music.

I had so much fun playing that game. I knew how awful it was so my expectations were already low as firetruck

The PLOT HOLES. According to the History of Sonic, There are only 7 Chaos emeralds. If that is true, why was Sonic able to turn into Super Sonic when the Princess had the one emerald the whole time? While that is only one, there are much...much more plot holes.

I wonder what Sega thinks of the game. I mean, they must of known it was terrible and obviously rushed before it even came out

I recently bought it and played it for the first time and I enjoyed it to a point. I can see what they tried to do and that much made it cool with me. What i didnt like though were glitches that killed me, LOADING, the way characters controled, silvers levels that took forever (especially the one with the countdown ball omg...) and the events leading up to the final boss and its fight didnt feel right. Not epic enough? Idk. Not sure if ill ever play it again but im glad i did to get my own opinion on it instead of relying on the internet lol.

Not to pinpoint on this, but I thought that game was awesome! It spelt good news for Sonic gaming (obviously we know now that the only good sonic game to come out since then was Generations though) and is my second favourite next to SA2.... but anyways....

 

I had no issue understanding the story. What is everyone having difficulty understanding here? I felt completely content with the plot (a little far-fetched for SEGA, but hey!)

Getting kinda sick of people saying Sonic 06 could have been the perfect Sonic game if ONLY those WRETCHED fans hadn't forced the game to come out early. Sure, if Sonic 06 hadn't been rushed out for Christmas it would have been a fair bit BETTER, but it's still a VERY fundamentally flawed game.

I mean, Sega had no priorities with this game. They would continuously talk about tech, saying they had a super duper physics engine, and that each character had upwards of 1 million polygons in their model. Sega focused so much on next gen doodads they forgot to make competent level design, proper optimization, a decent story, good animation, or get a voice coach who knows what emotion is.

The game's flaws go far deeper than just a lack of polish, don't kid yourself otherwise. The game would have to be completely remade if it were to be anything even a little decent.

Oh, and on the topic of things people should shut up about with Sonic 06. Sonic and Elise. They're not dating, and it's not bestiality. Bestiality is sex between a human and a non-sentient creature, and I hate to break it to you, but Sonic isn't human.

I have to agree that Sega did a poor job with Sonic's game. it was his 15th anniversary and they ruined it for him. they made me and all the other character look stupid and bad.

Sonic '06 is the game released in 2006 entitled 'Sonic The Hedgehog' making his debut appearance on PS3 and XBox 360. The playable characters are Sonic, SHadow and Silver.

 

I can't believe NO ONE on this site thinks Sonic '06 is worth their time or indeed a worthy game of the franchise. 1) It was a big leap forwards (all be-it  in a new direction) in a lot of ways and 2) have you SEEN half of the games that have come out since then... half being generous. It is deffintely the best game to come out since 2006, but I will accept the predessors were better with more filled out story and replay value. But seriously, why bag on this game so much when there is so much worse? Making a simile to KH here: this is like saying Days is a disgrace to the franchise when CODED EXISTS AND IS SO MUCH WORSE!

after watching this and found out about all the stuff that they where going to put in it and the whole rushed thing, i can't help but feel sad about the title. i mean if it had all of that stuff and wasn't rushed then maybe it could have been something great, the opposite of what where saying now about it, but still thats a maybe. but i still do believe it would have been good or at lest at the border of great, like some other sonic games. though even if they remade the game and put all the stuff in it and fixed everything, people will still hate it going off of old emotions from it, *sigh* but all i ask of you guys is to just have a moment of silence for the big "what if" game that ever was ......................................... oh and that Wii port of the game still went on in development and the title is now known as sonic and the secret rings....think about it. and share this with everybody, especially with game grumps and JohnTron

I haven't played Sonic '06, but I watched the Game Grumps' playthrough of it, which went towards the end of Silver's story (Jon had to leave Grumps for his own personal reasons, so they had to cut it short there), and from that 100+ playthrough, I can easily say this is one of the worst games of all time, right up there with Final Fantasy XII and Superman 64. The game is completely irredeemable, with almost NO good points. The only decent thing was the final boss music, everything else sucked.

If it was like that, it probably still would've been bad due to the really horrible storyline, in all honesty. Of course, I hate the Sonic franchise in general, so it could just be that.
