I truly began analyzing her character today and, honestly, she's probably one of my least favorite characters.  On a scale of 1-10, I'd rate her as probably about a 2.  She doesn't have much personality, nor character development.  Heck, even her role isn't that significant.  Riku and Sora'll do just about anything for her, and yet she hasn't really done much to earn such affection, y'know?  I'm not really saying she's a "bad" character, but she's just not that good either.

 

What's your stance on Kairi?

If rating her on a scale of 1-10 I'd put her as a 2 as well because she had a significant roll in the first game at least and she's an amazing plot device which I think is worth a few points. Other wise I don't think she's a very well written character. Though being a PoH I'd say her role is pretty significant, it's just that Kairi doesn't need to be proactive to initialize her significance. Literally, all she has to do is sit there and look pretty. No really, that was her roll for about 90% of KH1 and that was the game she was most, directly, important in.

I'd probably give her a 5 (maybe I'm being too nice), you're right about her character being underdeveloped. Especially in KH2 for me she was just sorta there if that makes any sense. 

 

Idk I have a love hate relationship with her character sometimes I'll be like hey its Kairi but other times I'll be like eww its Kairi. (not that I hate her or anything) but hopefully now that she's getting a keyblade her character can be utilized in a better manner, so she's not just sitting around in the background 90% of the time.

I would give her at most a 6.... I dunno why, but I wish she had better character. She wasn't so useful in KH1, but she had a nice personality, her few moments with dialogue were pretty nice. In Kh2... she sorta just became a totally new person

and she mostly existed for Sora.

I don't like her. She should just let riku and sora be together. 

I'd give her a 3/103 for looks( I mean come on,  a red head with blue eyes *o*)3 for having a role in kh1 and the fact that she'll certainly have more of a role in kh3

I dont like her a lot.

If I gave her 10 what should I give to Xion, maybe 11.5. Whether you like her or not, she is one of the 7 princesses of light.

Riku: Darkness!

Kairi: LLOOVVEEE!

She's pretty sexy. I give her a solid 9.

She is good character, but little bit waste of potential. Seriously, main character who gets 15 minutes of screen time in each game?

Have to wait for the KH3 version.

Well let's look at it this way. She's done very little so far. I'd give her a 5 right now. 

In kh3 she might get her chance to do stuff though.

I don't know anything about her to give my opinion on her. 

 

When Kairi said to Riku in KH2, "You know Sora's completely hopeless without us," I wanted to throw a book at the TV. I mean, Kairi should be the last person to say that line.

I love Kairi! I know she doesn't contribute a whole lot character wise but for me she is a 9/10

She's the reason I like girls with emovers and scene hair.

I like her just like that stall in Agrabah I pass by all the time.

Duh she'll have something to do, her role in KH 3 will be HUGE. They didn't set her up to train with the Keyblade as one of the seven lights at the end of DDD for nothing

I like Kairi.  She was my favourite character when I first got into the series (and the only games I'd played were KH1 and Kh2).  The reason she's under-developed is because we haven't been seeing enough of her in the side games (which tbh, makes sense though considering half them are about other characters).  I'm glad she's getting a more prominent role in KH3, because she'll finally get some development then.  I find that most people who actually "hate" her, are pissed about her being a light 'cause they think she's taking their favourite characters spot.  Though how's she ever meant to get development if people say she's too under-developed to get any more screen time

Kairi is not one of my favorites, but I don't see any reason dislike her either.

She's not useless, I'll tell you that much. I think she will serve a bigger purpose in KH3.

At least that's waht I thought after seeing KH3D's secret ending ^^

 

And after all, she was one of the main reasons Sora left to outside worlds.

I give her a 2. Yeah, she's cute, but being cute doesn't make a character lol. She's been so useless. In KH2 when she just giggled and flipped her hair, I wanted to punch her.

 

I was REALLY disappointed to see her at the end of DDD walking into Yen Sid's room. I honestly don't want her to be all gung-ho now for KH3. Its a little late in the series for that, but whatever. I made my boyfriend watch the ending and he was disappointed too. He doesn't like her either haha.

 

I don't know, her plot was great in KH1, but she's been just "there" and useless since then. I wanted her cut out from the series altogether, but you can't really do that I guess. Just keep her on the island but they're not doing that either.
