Nomura said somewhere that he's doing it because he wants to try to get all the games on one console in one way or another in anticipation for KHIII. That and to pass the time until KHIII begins.

For the craic bruv.

There would have been no point releasing KH3 straight after cause even though people are looking forward to it, a LOT of the fans grew frustrated with and abandoned the series since they kept bringing essential parts out on different consoles they didn't own.

They're rereleasing them all on the PS3, adding trophy support and making it HD to basically make it more desirable to fans who already have them, in the hope the people who stopped buying, would start again and get into the series as it's all on one console and thus be syked for KH3.

Also new fans looking at the series thinking "i don't have all those handhelds, no point even trying to get into it I won't get half the stories" will also be attracted by it all being on one platform

^this. Nomura has expressed the desire to bring all the titles to a uniform platform, and it looks like the PS3 was his choice.

I think the PS3 is the PERFECT choice. The reason why I bought one many years ago.

Maybe there's something hidden within the stories of the original Kingdom Hearts, Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days that we all need to see that's deeply connected to Kingdom Hearts III maybe.

Pretty much this.

KH has been on a lot of consoles and few fans have had the money to buy a new console to get each new kh game. Bringing them in the hd remixes not only makes them more accessible for new fans or for fans that want to replay them or see any they missed but also adds new features some countries didn't get (re com for some countries and final mix for anywhere non-japan) as well as puts them in hd.

Overall Nomura doing this is a great idea. And it makes tons of money

They're stalling until KH3.

- Get more fans

- Keep the old ones

- Put all games in one plataform.

- HD technical test

- Buy time until KH3

- And more important, make money!

These are the reasons.

LOL,I totally agree!!!!!

i couldnt have said it better myself

I believe it is so Kingdom Hearts can gain more fans (newer too, because the game is almost 11 years old now), and maybe have all KH games available on one platform.

These. Don't make them reconsider 2.5.
