From what I read about this a couple of days ago the baby was a result of rape/sexual assault. Unfortunately this happens all over the world and it's sickening .

I'm not an expert on their ideologies or the way things work in Mexico, but (this is just an assumption) I'd say that law is in place to enable child marriages. Which is a really sick thing in my opinion, since children are already confused by the change puberty brings on in their bodies. A life changing decision like marriage isn't something they need in their lives.

 

And as awful as it is, children getting pregnant and giving birth; with examples provided by the article, is not too uncommon. Those were just a few examples but it's not anything new to happen in the world.

I thought this happened some years ago. From what my mom told me a few years ago (if its the same one), she got raped and wanted to abort it, but the government didn't let her ): If its not the same one and this happened recently, forget what I said. It might of been a different one with a similar story This is just terrible for someone to do this. The poor girl

I can't frickin believe this.  The world is turning even more insane by the day, and bastards like that disgusting dude get away with raping innocent girls.  I mean seriously, a 9 year old girl????  Just think of all the complications she'll have!  Right now she's supposed to enjoy her childhood, but because of what that bastard did to her, her childhood is now taken from her.  So much injustice looms in this world, it's sickening.

This is just awful.  I understand laws and cultural differences, but still...  This just seems so wrong.  Poor girl!

The baby is probably going to grow up with some mental defect sadly. Puberty can start in Girls much earlier than boys but not at nine or eight years old. That has to be extremely dangerous for both the baby and the unfortunate mother. 

That's insane. I hope the girl is alright, that's child abuse.
