KH3 got announced for the PS4 instead of the PS3 like some people are speculating? I just want to know what your reactions would be if that happened.

I would be very happy.

That would suck. Loads of people on this site got a PS3 because they figured KH3 would be out on it eventually. I got one this Christmas for KHHD.

Besides, it wouldn't make any sense to release it on the PS4. They're doing HD remakes so everyone (old and new fans) can play the whole series on one system, I don't really understand any reason for them to put the last game for the Xehanort Saga on a different console.

I doubt it. But it's always possible. I don't really care because I don't have a PS3, only a PS2. So if I want to upgrade, I'll wait until the platform for KH3 is announced.

If that were the case I just hope the ps4 is backwards compatible with ps3 games, I wouldn't want to go out and buy a ps3 for the HD 1.5 ReMix, if I knew KH3 were coming out on the ps4, and if the ps4 is backwards compatible, it would just kill me to have wasted money on a console for just one game, when its successor could very well play both games.

I know, but as of now I don't have a PS3, so the minute I get one, I would buy some other games too, not just KH 1.5. But I would have had one already if it weren't for that cursed Xbox360 of my brother's, sitting in the game room right now But anyways..

I'd be pretty disappointed...The PS3 has so much potential still and a lot of fans have bought PS3's....

Honestly, I really wouldn't care. I already have a PS3 and I've been saving up for a PS4 ever since my brother got the PS3. Either way, I'd be able to have both the consoles even if KH3 isn't on the PS4.

I'd be OK. I don't have a PS3 anyways. I'm waiting more KH games to come out to figure what I want, and i'm not getting anything right now

The announcement of the PS4 would definitely put a hole in Square Enix's plans for all KH games being on one console, because I don't think that once the new console is out, people will want to buy a game coming out for the old console (Besides us hardcore KH fans of course!)

I'd be very angry 'cause neither me nor my family can afford to spent $700-$1000 for a gaming console. Seeing as how the PS3 was $300 when I bout it  when I bought it this is my projection for the price point. Also, has anyone else noticed that KH games tend to come out in the 2nd half of a systems lifespan? the only exception I can think of is 3D.

At first I would be like whatever, I still get the remixes. But then you mentioned backwards compatibility, and I know I'd still eventually buy a Ps4 for Kh3 but be bitter while doing so.

Then cry from both the pain of hurting my hand and the fact I wouldn't be getting KH3 til someone got me a PS4.

"so seems like i have to buy a PS4" that would be my reaction. and its quite possible versus is taking all this generation time and KH3 gets behind.

Lots of my money would go towards a PS4, plain and simple. NOTHING will stop me from playing KH3!

I doubt it for reasons stated over the years. But it depends if the PS4 is easier to develop on than the PS3.

Ok I remember Nomura saying that he wants the whole Kingdom Hearts series on one console which is most likely why he's making HD collections in the first place. So KHIII for PS4? Most likely: NEVER.
