have you ever felt guilty for rejecting a guy, if so, why?

Featured Replies

im not a girl but i have rejected one guy once and i have many female identifying friends who have rejected guys and lemme tell you, sometimes they feel guilty, other times they dont, but when they do, i always tell them they shouldnt because seriously? theyre not obligated to date anyone theyre not interested in.

Yes because I've had many guy friends in the past that I was close to that really liked me more than a friend that I didn't feel the same way about yet I still cared about them :(

Yep,because yep.

Never had the chance to

Girls are just cold blooded killers out to ruin your life.

Just kidding.

A little cause they were friends.

Yes because I don't like hurting people. I tend to feel guilt pretty easily to be honest.

same here

I've never even had the chance. :/

If I had, I would feel sorry. Having a broken heart is terrible.

Honestly even if you don't like someone and its good to tell them that you're not interested in them if they ask you out, it is still tough to say that and you will feel temporarily guilty. Id feel a bit guilty rejecting some dude, especially if its a close friend. It's also hard to say no if its a close friend.

sometimes yes, other times not really

Yeah, especially if theyre your friend. I've had a couple guy friends id known for years ask me out or show real interest and when I tell them I just want to be friends or straight up no, there's a real pang of guilt. And ur friendships never the same again. Never.

No one asks me out so... Yeah. xD

Nope, not a girl.

I've been rejected before (it sucks sooo much when they are a close friend) and she felt guilty about it but she didn't really need to. It's my problem, not hers. As long as she is being honest she shouldn't feel bad about anything.

i rejected a 30 year old guy one time... but that was honestly because he was 30 and I was scared.

I never rejected anyone--I was the one who got rejected in the end because he wanted sex and I didn't.  I guess four years of being in a relationship and not getting any would do that to a guy.  But, if someone was really nice and honestly cared for me but I was honestly uninterested in him that way, hell yeah I'd feel guilty about it.

I've rejected guys before. I felt pretty bad about it, since I didn't feel the same way for them, but they were still my friend(s) and I cared about them. I don't feel as guilty as I did back then; at least I was being honest.

I rejected a girl once, back in middle school. I didn't feel bad about it back then, but it really bothers me now.

^this. It hurts being rejected but i understand why many people choose to do it.I've rejected girls too only because i was interested in someone else and there's absolutely no point in dating someone you're not interested in, because it's bad for both, even if you're doing it out of good intentions

its not cause we're mean its because some of us are too shy or just want to be friends or we're intrested in other boys. But mostley its weird how we girls pick reject the nice guys

Does me telling my old friend in 2th grade that I don't like like him count?

If not.

Then .

Eh.

No.

Nobody ever asked me out, nor did they like me. witch sucked cause i liked a boy in my class once.

So I never reject somebody whoaa.
