Are you primarily a PC or console gamer?

Posted

I'm just curious how many people here prefer PC gaming over console gaming.  I'm definitely a console gamer.  The only PC games I've ever played are Reader Rabbit and Runescape, and, if you're familiar with either, you'll know that's not much, haha!

I prefer console gaming over pc gaming and portable console gaming most off all. I do play on the PC a good bit but usually it's just one or two games so definitely more of a console player.

Console but sometimes i play games on the PC

I'm a console gamer at heart.

I am a console gamer. I only have two PC games. Mainly because my Mother is worried about viruses and whatever. But I'm going to get Bioshock Infinite for PC and eventually I'll become a fairly even spread gamer.

Both equally really, but lately I've been hooked to PC gaming.

Console gamer but I also like to play on my pc from time to time...the only problem is that my laptop is busted...playing too many Wii games in HD is a serious problem Dx

Console gamer here, the only PC games I've played were Runescape I was sad that I wasn't a member  Maplestory, World of Warcraft, and The Sims. I would say I play PC games sometimes, but console games far more.

Mostly a console gamer, but I'll be playing my Laptop once I get AION 4.0 when it comes out.

I'm a console gamer, due to the lack of a proper gaming PC and more interest in consoles. I do play the occasional PC Minecraft and Starcraft though.

console gaming.

Actually, I'm mainly a portible gamer. Why wasn't that an option?

I used to be more of a console gamer, but after starting to use Steam, I'm finding myself split between the two. I don't have a SUPER HD EPIC gaming computer though, so it can only handle so much; still, it gets the job done and that's all I really care about.

I'm a little more of a PC gamer.

Well actually, portable systems are consoles as well, so I'd just been grouping them together as one. :)

Sam getting abducted in the dessert!

Anyway, I started out on the PC with Putt-Putt, Pajama Sam, Roller Coaster Tycoon and the like.  I don't play much on the computer now.  I'm busy with school for for me it's training my Pokemon on the bus.

I've been a console guy since its birth.

In that case, consles all the way.

I don't see the point in PC gaming.

Having to constantly upgrade in order to keep up... installing... is this graphics card good? La de da doo. I hate the complication. With a console, you plug it in, you play. Yay!

Slightly better graphics just aren't enough to make it matter.

My cousin bought gaming PC three years ago, he can run new games on high settings with no problems and has he upgraded anything? no.

You can actually get fairly good gaming PC on cheap price.

And there is so much things that make it better than consoles:

Yes you already said upgraded graphics

Better frame rate

Usually more custom options on graphics and gameplay

Better gaming community

King of competitive gaming

Steam sales, nuff said

PS network and XBOX live suck compared to Steam

Mods=free new content to game

Is there good MMOs for consoles? No

Is there good RTSs for consoles? No

nah i just can't take it that someone has different opinion than i do

it's not like i want to give out my opinion or have some peaceful argument here

I was just getting strong "Here's why you're wrong." vibes from that post.

I have been a console gamer all my life but I became a PC gamer last summer, when I downloaded Steam and bought a few games on sale. (As already said the sales are awesome, currently: Hitman Absolution for 8 euros)

And to reply on the previous arguments: It's not all so black and white, I love playing some particular games on PC, but there are also games I would absolutely play only on consoles, such as Kingdom Hearts.
