What Battle system do you think will be in KH3?

One thing that KH is very notable for is the large variety of gameplay that the series offers throughout the games that were made.

So, if you had to choose, which/what kind of battle system would you want to see in KHIII?

Also, what kind of battle system would you recommend to be put in for future titles? (A system that hasn't been introduced to KH yet)

Since I loved the command decks from BBS, Re:Coded and DDD I will go with those . I expect something along that line plus probably other things like flowmotion.After all, Nomura says he experiments on the portables so he try out new things for future games

I hated scrolling in KH1 and KH2 for a command that couldn't fit on my shortcut. It took too much time.

well if they keep flowmotion, then were good.

I personally liked the KH:BbS, Re:Coded, and KH3D command system. I find it easier to use. Keeping Flowmotion would also be good. I loved using it!! Maybe Nomura could bring back the Command Fusing back?

Command Deck FTW! It's so much simpler, and there's no more menu within a menu. xD

I want a combo of the 2 styles. The main menu with "Attack" "Magic" etc. but with the ability to choose the load-out of the sub-menus.

Well I guess we'll find out when Versus XIII comes out. I hear it has KH style game-play and will be used as the template for KH3.

I want the old system to be honest. It was alot less limited and they have to put the drives selection somewhere right? I think it should be kind of an updated throwback if ya know what I mean.

Although I love the Reaction commands from KH2, I really like the command deck. I don't think flow motion will be included in future titles tbh, but I would hope that the command deck is, maybe along with Final Forms as well? I haven't played kh1/2 in ages, but I know when I first played BBS (and saw the new battle system) I was amazed and impressed with the new system.

For kh3 what I would like will probably never happen but:

 

KH1 and fm's bars of magic (to me magic bars are so much more original than a gauge but that may just be me), Limits, and.. something like drive forms but more original. Like each drive form is like the other but slightly different. Something original. Also Nothing-NOTHING like anti form ever agian.

Commands as magic (like being able to replace fire spell in magic menu for example ballonga. Enhanced flowmotion.

But they are probably going to go mostly for something kh3d-like.

KH3D Fixes alot of the problems I had with KH2. Melee is more interesting because you mix in unique attacks, that you chose, with regular combos. Magic is more interesting because you can cast more often. This is the first KH game I've played where you can relly on your magic.

 

When I played Sora, I used so much magic I forgot the keyblade could be used to hit them!

 

Having a Comand Deck on the X button is ALOT better that reaction comands. Reaction Commands are, arguably, the worst part of KH2. Always having the Perfect attack to kill an enemy without any thinking involved doesn't give the player any choice but to mash that button without even looking at it.

 

The Best part of the Comand Deck system is that you have to choose what Comands to put there.

I like the BBS, Re:Coded, 3D command system because it feels like I have control over the fight instead of just watching Sora dominate the fight when all I did was press Triangle. I loved how flashy the reaction commands looked in KH2, but it made the fights feel a little like quick time events without the timing. A combination of the two could be potentially interesting, but if I had to choose one, I'd stick with the command deck...and flowmotion if possible.Does anyone else wish you could fight like they do in cutscenes but in a way that makes you feel like you actually need a little skill?

I like the command deck better, but as long as it's not 358/2's panel system, I'm fine.

BBS system was the best, and melding commands was very addicting. I'm kinda not liking having to use the Dream Eater's to unlock commands and the Re:Coded system was kinda tedious. In KH2 I had the magic on shortcuts and did not use anything else that wasn't in the shortcut...which is a shame since I recently found out Thundaga with Final Form was pretty flashy.

Ok, i would love the KH1 and KH2 Commands IF. AND ONLY IF. KH3 has the KH1 Control scheme. Otherwise i would like the Command deck. but i honesty dont care which they pick. i love them both

 

what do you mean by KH1 control scheme ?

Why not have both? I feel as if the KH2 system could be added on with commands, example would be:

Page 1: Attack, Magic, Items, Drive

Page 2: Attack, Summons, Party, Limits

Page 3: Command, Command, Command, Command

 

I feel as if this would allow the "normal" system to work and allow the cooler attacks and such from commands to work as well.

 

Just no Flowmotion. Maybe some small things, but that's it.

I loved how KH2 allowed the player to customize his/her combos in the form of abilities, but using the command deck in BBS, Re:Coded, and DDD gave the fighting a lot more fluidity. If the KH team could somehow implement both battle systems into KH3 then my life would be made haha. :)

I don't exactly remember the feel of KH I and II but I like the command deck. Only thing I wish is that if we have the freedom to use whatever commands we want that there be some balance in damage between physical and magic attacks. (I don't use magic except curative spells) but the way people put it makes it sound like my whole line of commands of physical attacks wouldn't even outdamage a single high tier spell which with the proper abilities can be chained with more high tier spells without having to wait.

I hope the command deck with Sora's combos of Kingdom Hearts 2,

A mixture between Drive with Donald/ others ?/ Dingo (Two Keyblades :wub: ) and fire form, thunder form like BBS and DDD.

Summons with Shiva and Ifrit, ok I dream =P

 

Flowmotion is essential, I played Darksiders 2 yesterday, I was walking in a corridor with this thought :

Im guessing that since this is a numbered title, it'll have the battle menu that KH 1 and 2 both had. But, if the Osaka 1 team puts alot of effort into this, maybe they could make it so that the battle system is different for most characters.

 

I.E.:

Sora has the Battle Menu from KH1/KH2.

 

Riku has Flowmotion and command deck.

 

Aqua has the Cards from COM(She created CO, so why not?)

 

Ventus has the command deck and command styles. Etc.

I think everyone should have similar gameplay styles, just so things don't get over-complicated, to be honest. I'm hoping for either KHII or BBS style gameplay, myself. 

I think everyone will have the command system. It's pretty much the battle style now and works well.

Kiari will have Flo-Motion/DDD command deck.

KH1/2 menu or Final Fantasy XIII menu?
