Super Meat Boy has been only on Xbox and Steam

 

And some other outright bizarre choices that wants the favor of their characters being in without putting the effort of putting the actual game on Wii U or 3DS

 

The only reason Solid Snake was in Brawl was because Kojima and Sakurai are friends and that's it....so they don't even have a shot

 

 

Characters like Shantae for example has more chance since she has been on Nintendo consoles since 2002 for example

 

 

Also....WTF Meat Boy's moveset would be.....he doesn't do shit in Super Meat Boy aside from running and jumping

I remember hearing that Super Meat Boy's developers tried to use some shady tactics to get him in Smash before, too. Something about how they'd only release the game on Nintendo systems if he was put in Smash first.

 

We have WAY too many Counters by the way. Marth, Lucina, Ike, Shulk, Lucario, Greninja, Little Mac, pretty someone else has one too.

At least Shulk and Greninja have counters that include elements from their original games. Everyone else just has a random counter move.

Base Palutena has one as well. As for Roy...if this is fully legitimate...It's pretty stupid they'd add a second Marth clone. Hope they change him completely but I doubt it.

Though the game will become Soul Calibur Bros because of how many sword wielders are in the game

Y'know.....Ryu makes a lot of sense though I don't know how to feel about his inclusion especially since SF5 is only on Ps4

As much as i would like this (Im not neccessarily a hardcore fan of Street Fighter but i like the idea of Ryu as a fighter, and I've always liked Roy, at least his moves differ more from Marth than Lucina in some aspects, plus he has sweetspots for spacing), i'm taking this with a grain of salt. Either way, we'll find out in 2 months if this is true, since i'm sure when Lucas gets a definite release date that we'll hear about future DLC.

The dude who posted is a well known person in the 3DS data mining community. He has credit to what he's saying, so I believe him, at least more so than any other leaker.

 

I'd like Ryu to be in the game. He's iconic to not only the fighting video game industry, but to fighting games as well.the video game industry as a whole. He'd be interesting to see in this type of fighting game.

If the Roy and Ryu leak is true then I'm not sure how I feel about having another Marth clone.I guess I wouldn't mind it all that much since clone characters never bothered me all that much,but having Ryu with a Street Fight stage are music in Smash Bros would be awesome and it'd be even more amazing if ''↓↘→ +  P'' was the input for Hadouken.

It make sense for Little Mac to have a counter as well since he's a boxer.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I just realized: Unless the Roy audio clip had the FE character victory theme with it, or Roy's victory quotes, it could've been for Roy Koopa. I didn't watch the video posted because I can't freaking stand that guy's videos, so I don't know the details on it, but it's still possible.

 

As for my thoughts on the characters:

 

If it's Roy from FE... I'd be somewhat interested if it wasn't for the fact that it would mean two Marth clones in one game, which is ridiculous.

 

As for Ryu, I've only played Street Fighter 3D through download play, but I didn't really like it. Too slow paced. I can't say I'm interested in Ryu for that exact reason. I'll just keep waiting for a Xenoblade character to be announced I guess.

I just want some more variety. I'm going to assume that Roy isn't going to break through the Marth mold too much, except with a few minor stat shifts here and there. I'm still not getting any of the heavier characters I want, and while I only have about four characters to choose from in that front, there's already ton of other medium to lighter characters out there, and Roy just adds to that tally.

Tried Mewtwo for several hours yesterday, and I have to say he's great but 2 things I dislike about him. One is the u-air. I'd rather use f-air or b-air than this. Second is his weight. His size is so misleading lol. I thought he'd be mid-weight, but it feels as light as Jigglypuff. I died at 80% from a smash a few times. e_e I would say his up special is annoying, but it's more because I'm used to using Palutena+his jumps make up for the low range.

His official weight says otherwise, but Smash tends to not go by such things. 

Mewtwo is fun to play as. I need to master Disable setups, but I really want to main it. I too am taken aback by how extremely light it is. It shouldn't be as light as Jigglypuff - its psychic powers are supposed to make him floaty!

 

Fully charged Shadow Ball does 25%?! Unheard of! And that Fair has some awesome knockback.

I'm horrible with Mewtwo.

 

He has so many recovery options too. Insane jumps, teleport, side b boosts him up a bit like Mario's cape, and a fully charged neutral b pushes him back a bit. But none of that matters since he's going to be launched all the way out to the blast zones anyways.

 

His smashes are great. Up smash actually keeps them inside until the end of the move, unlike Zelda's. Forward smash racks up a nice amount of damage. Down smash pops them up, so you can follow with an aerial.

 

His tilts have insane range. Up tilt covers the top of you, and can be used to pop them up. Same with Down tilt, but covers in front of you. Forward tilt is unnecessary, since the other two are better.

 

Forward air is deceivingly strong. It's a great option for a KO, if you can land it. Up air has great range, but lacks knockback, which makes sense. Back air is way too slow to come out for my liking. Down air is satisfying to land, but awful if you miss.

 

Neutral b doesn't have a hitbox when charging it. :sad:  Does a nice amount of damage when fully charged though. Side b sort of sucks, if your opponent knows how to get out of it. (Tech it.) If they don't know, it's a free forward smash. Down b is hard to land, and it's useless when they are at low percents.

 

Side taunt makes him look like he's upping his power level. 9001/10
