Had quite a few....Ex-ion, Zie-on....at one point I thought the "x" was silent. Then I remembered how Marluxia was pronounced and tried fitting it into Xion's name...sounded a lot better

Yes. I still say Marluxia that way, Mar-lush-ia is way too weird for me lol!

yeah i remember playing CoM as my first game and thinking Marluxia's name was Mar-Lux-ia and also thinking that he was a girl but when i heard him talk and re:CoM i was miiiiiind fuuuuuuucK

I assumed Xaiii-on when I first played it, but that's wrong. Shion does sound better, saying both of the names out loud.

I always thought it was 'Zai-on'

I pronounced it as "Ex-ion" for a while. Then I realized that was stupid... so I started pronouncing it "Zai-on". And then I realized that was stupid, so I started calling her "Zee-on"... and then I actually saw it pronounced, and promptly face palmed.
